"First time having Shanghainese food, grew up with Cantonese style. Came for dinner on a Friday evening, no problem getting seated in the smallish dining area. We're visiting with friends who are familiar with the restaurant so they ordered 6 dishes. Sorry I didn't take pics or remember names. Overall service was fast, food pretty tasty with good-sized portions, prices pretty typical. They did a steady take-out business while we were there. It's a little run down and older so the clientele included older people, a few young families, a few tables of young people. Other nearby restaurants with modern decor, music, mood lighting, etc were crowded with young, well-dressed, more affluent-looking Asians, so I felt like this restaurant is a no frills place to go for authentic (so they tell me) Shanghainese food."
