"If I could give this place zero stars, I definitely would. My girlfriend and I were looking forward to enjoying hibachi and drinks, but our experience at Tony's was far from what we had hoped. From the moment we were seated at our hibachi table, things went downhill. Our waitress was incredibly unprofessional—perhaps the worst I've encountered in my life. We placed our orders for drinks and food right away, but she seemed disinterested, even forgetting our order after 15 minutes. It then took an astonishing 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive. To make matters worse, she confusedly told us the bar was closed, then changed her mind. I found this especially odd for a Friday night. Our chef did not come out until an hour and a half had passed. When our drinks finally arrived, our waitress asked if we wanted soup or salad with our meals—something I've never experienced at hibachi restaurants, where both are usually standard. My girlfriend ordered soup while I opted for salad, but neither arrived. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, our waitress seemed preoccupied with the one other table she was attending to. We eventually had to flag down a different waitress to ask for drink refills since ours were empty the entire meal. The second round of drinks arrived at the same time as our takeout boxes. At the end of the night, I mentioned we never received our soup or salad and requested to take them to go. She returned with only the salads, completely forgetting the soup. When I asked for the check, it never came after twenty minutes, so I went to the front desk to get it myself. There was our waitress, chatting with friends at the bar. She noticed me and hurried to get the check, but then took the liberty of adding an 18% gratuity to a bill that totaled over $150. As for the food, it was mediocre at best—I could get better Chinese from the takeout place down the road. The drinks were average, and the menu did not show prices, likely so they could surprise customers with the bill. My total included two hibachi meals (steak and chicken, plus chicken and shrimp) and three mojitos, which came to over $150. Remember, I basically acted as my own waiter the entire evening! We will definitely not be returning to Tony’s. It used to be good over a year ago, but something must have changed—perhaps it’s the management? Save your time and money; this place is simply not worth it."

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
