"Overall, the experience at Tony 's was a positive one. Service was excellent--attentive and friendly--despite the restaurant being very busy. The atmosphere was tourist-oriented and family-friendly, so maybe not the best place for a romantic date, but great for a quick bite or a family outing with young children. The food was good, in my mind it was Olive Garden-plus, not fine dining but also better than fast-casual pasta. We ordered half portions of the veal parmigiano and ravioli bolognese, and the portions were quite large. Prices were fair, but would probably not be considered a great deal. The biggest negative was the fact that the restaurant charged for soft drinks per-refill $3.50 each!! , even though the restaurant was serving from a soda gun behind the bar i.e., not cans or bottles that would be expected to have a per-drink charge . Typically, in a restaurant like this, with a family-oriented atmosphere and large portions, I wouldn 't expect an extra $15+ to be tacked on to my bill for something as inexpensive as a few fountain Cokes. I have not come across this in many other restaurants; it just struck me as a bit of an underhanded way to make a few extra bucks at the end of the meal which could be short-sighted, particularly in a UES location that would rely on repeat business ."
