"Cute and cozy authentic German restaurant with big plates! I met a friend here for breakfast because she loves the food here. It was PACKED for breakfast, and the parking lot is teeny tiny. I circled around twice, but unfortunately no spaces opened up, so I drove down the block and parked at the bank in the next plaza and walked over. The inside of the diner is incredibly small, but the staff works hard to get food out fast. Do not try to seat large parties here, unless you eat outside. I think the largest size table is a 4-top, and there is not a lot of walking room between tables. I ordered a breakfast plate that included 2 Eggs made your way, Corned Beef Hash, and your choice of Potatoes (home fries or hash) or Grits and Toast. I got the hash made extra crispy, and I LOVED it! You can see the pieces of shredded potatoes and taste the freshness of your food when you eat it. The corned beef hash was well seasoned, but cooked a bit on the mushy side for my taste. Next time, I will ask for it cooked well done for my personal preference. I also got a side of French Toast because I know they would be freshly made. The toast was HUGE and so fluffy! I loved it. It wasn't caked in sugars or flour, but fresh egg and not too soggy. I drizzled some syrup on it and finished the whole plate! I had an excellent meal at Cypress Nook, and I will definitely be back! The staff was friendly and very attentive. My coffee cup was always full because someone was always making rounds and checking on the diners. They even knew my friend by name because she often eats there. I would love to come back for dinner and try some German food. Cypress Nook takes cash and card, but use your registered credit card for Yelp Cash Back!"

"I don 't like writing this kind of review. My wife and I came to this restaurant after reading these reviews, after shopping in South Jersey. We shared a played of Fried Taro. That was tasty. I had the Massman Curry. It wasn 't the best, but not bad. Avocado was an odd addition to the standard recipie. My wife had Tom Yum with Tofu and Pad Thai Chicken. Just as we started to leave, my wife said she started feeling a weird headache in the center of her forehead, dizziness, inner ear pressure and flushed face. On the way home and for the rest of the night, she has been feeling odd pain in her head, face and neck. After some research, we are concluding this is from an allergy or other reaction to MSG. They do not state if they do or don 't use MSG. Another troubling thing. As I was paying the check, the waiter (owner? told us that we would get a free Thai Iced Tea for every five star review we leave. This is a sketchy way to gin up your review stars average! He said we can do it now. I said no, we will do it later, if at all. He said they do this because they are in a rural area. I don 't think cheating reviews is cool in any area, rural or otherwise. We eat in a lot of rural restaurants that don 't need to skew reviews. I suggest you stay away from this restaurant. We won 't go back. "Last night we went to the restaurant bavarian hunter as a birthday dinner for my mother. we had a reservation so that we knew we had one table inside and ready since two of us came out of the state. we sat right away and offered drinks quickly and asked if we wanted any appetizers. After my mom picked up the menu online, she knew that she wanted to try the routine. she asked if there was anything else, and the server went gracious to check. to the happiness there were still a few portions and they reserved one for my mother, while the rest of us our dinner options. we wanted to try a lot of things, so this was a serious consideration! we ordered the kaze spatzle and (on recommendation of the server) the sausage plate as starters. both were delicious and I recommend trying. next came the rolls and a creamy chicken, speck and kartoffel soup. the suppe was delicious, but the rolls were dry and hard. the main course consisted of rouladen for my mother, gay with brotknödeln for my father, the Bavarian favourite for my man and the frame carving for me. when the food came out, my mother remembered that she wanted to taste the Bavarian potato salad, but had not remembered in time to order it for dinner. our server heard and asked if she still wanted it because she could get something for us, and we said yes. my personal favorite was the raymond carving, followed by the selection of my vater (the schweinaxe). he remembered that he was a child in this restaurant and that was what he had ordered at that time. he said it was very tasty, but wished it could have been calf instead of pigs. my man liked all the flesh in his favorite plate. he said that the frame-fitted carving was his favorite. it was tender and juicy, with a delicious sauce. second, he liked the crisp that had a big smokey taste. overall we agreed that the red müll was the best beside court. the potato dumplings were simply ok and the brothknödeln was very dense and dry. Unfortunately, neither my mother nor I were overly impressed by the Bavarian potato salad, although I had ordered it especially. we'll skip it next time. because it was a birthday dinner, we ordered two desserts to share. one was a brotpudding with cries and a bailey glaze, and the other was a lemon and blueberry cake. my mother and my husband loved the brotpudding, while my father and I loved the lemon cake. they were both amazing, but we had our favorites. all in all, we are back. this was a part of the better German kitchen that we had outside our own family kitchen(s). the restaurant itself was really nice, the people friendly and super helpful, and the outdoor area beautiful. Many thanks to the restaurant Bavarian hunter for an excellent dinner!"
