"My boyfriend and I went to 180 Meridian back in February. Do not go here. It was recommended to us for the happy hour sushi, and we went in not expecting much. It took over an hour to get four rolls of sushi, it wasn't properly cut, I found plastic in the sushi, and it had not even been scaled correctly! Absolutely disgusting. It's pretty bad when I can get sushi from a Chinese buffet restaurant that is better than a restaurant marketing itself with its sushi. The waiter didn't come to check on us for the whole hour, and it took forever to even get drinks. During that hour long wait, they had music blasted up so high you couldn't even here yourself think. Too loud of an atmosphere, disgusting food, and horrible service. Never returning here again."

"SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! To say this dinner was disappointing, is a positive stretch. We ordered lobster dumplings and chicken egg foo young. It may be my taste buds but I absolutely did not like the dumplings. The egg foo young was awful too; the gravy was not like any I have ever gotten from any other Chinese restaurant and not in a good way. The fried rice, had absolutely no veggies or egg it was sadly plain. The chicken in the egg foo young was obviously junk chicken. It was full of gristle and totally inedible! I have considered feeding the left overs to my dog, but am literally afraid they would choke on these chicken pieces. The waitress was running her tail off, she seemed to be over sat while others were in slow motion, which made her very hard to talk with. I spoke with her about the chicken and showed her the problem. She made an offer to get me another egg foo young patty, which I certainly did not want. There was no other adjustment offered. I will not return ever!"

"This was my first time ordering here and I will have to say it’s amazing! Haven’t been able to find a good Asian spot to eat in the area yet and i can’t Believe I hadn’t heard about this place. I got my delivery for two adults dinner within 30 minutes which was the sooner delivery than expected!! food was at great temp when received and the only downfall is I will have to get the general Taos chicken cooked fresh next time I order it but the flavor was greatnesses overall. Will definitely be ordering from here again would recommend worth the money!"

"I cannot say enough about this restaurant. My boyfriend was hesitant at first because the outside of the restaurant looked a little dark and the name was not very clear, but we still wanted to try it after checking all the reviews on Yelp and here. Oh my god, I am so happy we did. What an amazing Japanese restaurant in San Francisco with great deals, especially during Happy Hour. The fish is incredibly fresh and high quality, and the other dishes are also very good. We love Japanese food and are always on the lookout for a Japanese restaurant where we don't have to wait for hours or book way ahead of time due to popularity, and of course, not overpriced like many other Japanese restaurants. Please come and support their business, I'm sure you will be coming back every week just like us. There is plenty of street parking available along the sidewalk. I would give them 10 stars if I could."

"6:15 reservation was on time on News Years Eve with a dimly lit, quiet table for 2. Quick greeting of water, drinks, menu specials, and introduction with Cameron. Note: they were out of halibut. Many options on the menu and we decided on the Manhattan clam chowder and a chopped Cesar salad to start. 30 minute wait and never saw Cameron. The avoidance was noticeable. The salad was full of flavor but served at room temperature and a large bowl of tasty chowder but no bread was available this night. I missed it with the chowder! It was a slow start but the main course of scallops was delicious and the pork chop a delight! To full for dessert but offered 3 choices. We will return but go with several small plates to share."

"Fri (8/4/23 Returned once again to my favorite BYOB and Mango Chicken dinner before enjoying a beautiful night of drum corps at J Birney Crum Stadium! This place is my annual favorite pre drum corps dinner place! Everything from the delicious salad with ginger dressing (they need to bottle this stuff it's soooo good! to my entree was perfection. My husband's sashimi platter is always a spectacular vision (although the pieces have become noticeably smaller since the pandemic . And the vegetable tempura and shrimp appetizer our friend ordered was expertly prepared and delicious. We WILL be returning and wish they would open a place nearer to us in NJ! "Worst sushi ever. Slightly better than grocery store sushi. So surprised because we’ve been looking forward to this meal. It was our anniversary dinner. Previous experiences were great. The sushi had old rice and the seaweed was soft. I think it must have been prepared earlier. We came at the end of the lunch hour and we’re the only people in the restaurant. I asked for 3 of the sushi to be replaced because the rice was old. They were okay, not great. I decided it was wasn’t worth it to remake the rolls. I sprinkled some water on them and they were slightly better. The waitress saw this, she never ask how our food was. Just asked if we wanted more water. Sake was cheaper than I remember. We will never go back. So sad because it used to be one of our favorite restaurants. "I go here all the time. I was here last Friday. Always a stellar 5 star experience. I think it was a new cook and he wasn't good at all. Didn't ask how wanted steak cooked then gave it to us rare and he had to take it back. Salmon has fishy taste it didn't have last week and was undercooked as were the vegetables. Only did sake 1x and didn't toss the broccoli ?. He had no personality like they usually have. Had to ask for ginger and other sauce..he never filled trays and biggest complaint was small portions. "We were traveling in the area and my wife had heard about this place because she loves sushi. Things started out really well because we were told initially there would be a 35 minute wait and we only ended up waiting about 8 to 10 minutes. We werewaited on within a normal time frame and they took our order. My wife ordered her sushi and I ordered a sweet and sour chickenwith tempura style vegetables and rice meal. It really wasn't that crowded and there were several empty tables. They also seemedto have ample people working. I saw at least 8 to 10 out front. Anyway, It took quite a long time for our meals to arrive, maybe30 to 40 minutes. I took a bite of my chicken and it was cold, The rice and vegetables were cold also. I am talking about theywere not even slightly warm. I approached our server and he did offer to have the dish redone. I declined because I was alreadygoing to have to wait and watch while my wife ate her sushi and I didn't want her to have to wait for me when my meal finallyarrived again. When I declined he asked me what I wanted done. I told him I'm good we'll just have my wife finish give us thecheck and we'll leave. I think maybe since this place specializes in sushi there's not a really good coordination between theplace that cooks their hot meals and their cold sushi. Because I feel my meal, based on the temperature it came out, had set forat least 15 minutes before I got it. This is all good, things like this can happen.. we were disappointed. I would haveappreciated at least an apology though. Even though he did offer to recook the meal I never did hear an apology. We might trythem again another time. It might just have been a bad night."

"This was a really cool experience! It?s almost like a speakeasy for sushi! From what I understand, you must have a reservation or know someone to get in. When we got there it was roped off with a red carpet rope and a bouncer in front. We told him who we were coming to see and they came to get us and brought us to our table. The service was good, the waitress was attentive and everything came quickly. We ordered a few different sushi dishes which were all tasty as well as the mozzarella sticks. We also got a bottle of sake to share and it was really smooth! Potent, but flavorful and smooth. We went during happy hour so the prices were great too! I really liked the decor and there was pretty low lighting throughout. Next time I?d definitely like to try the karaoke!"

"By far one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Farm to table fresh and absolutely delicious. I love their seasonal changes as well as the items that are always on the menu. The menu is clearly marked with V for Vegan and VEG for Vegetarian and GF for Gluten Free. I wish all menus were like this! What VEGAN options top my list?
