"Booked a birthday brunch here and had a simply great experience! Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was excellent- fresh, well thought out flavours and just tasty! We had the brunch burger (which like its lunch/dinner-time sibling was excellent) and the steak and eggs special of the day- all great! The brunch cocktails were also really fun! Brunch was SO good, we had to take some home and so we ordered the apple pie to-go and that on its own is another food review! I highly recommend this lovely spot!"

"Expected better food options based on previous reviews...the mocha, scrambled eggs, and very thick pancakes were nothing special...and if I'mgoing to take my wife out, I do want a bit of delicious creativity in the food presented. The best part of the experience was our server. Her helpful presence kept this from being a 2-star review."

"The ambiance of the restaurant is stunning and truly reflects the luxury of being at the Ritz! I visited for brunch, and my only issue was that my açaí bowl turned out quite soupy. Everything was served at once, which likely affected the timing. The banana nut bread is a mini loaf and is made to order (something we weren’t aware of), which may have contributed to the delay in serving our food. However, the banana bread was absolutely fantastic—I've had plenty of banana bread made from fresh bananas in Hawaii, and this one definitely ranks among the best! I would recommend ordering a banana bread for the table and one to take home, but be sure to request that the other dishes be served first if they are ready."

"I recently dined in for lunch at this establishment, and overall it was a mixed experience. The food left much to be desired, earning a score of 2 out of 5. While I expected more for the price range of $50 to $100 per person, the dishes didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of flavor and presentation. The service was decent, rated at 3 out of 5. The staff was attentive, but there were moments when it felt a bit rushed, which detracted from the experience. On a positive note, the atmosphere was quite enjoyable, receiving a 4 out of 5. The ambiance was inviting, with a pleasant decor that made for a nice setting for lunch. In summary, while the atmosphere was appealing, the food and service didn't quite hit the mark for me."

"we ordered both from the breakfast and from the lunch menu. everything was so delicious and big! each half of my Veggie sandwich could have been a complete sandwich at another place. my niece had a French child toast, which was also gigantic. this is their first assessment, but it is true that we had a 5-star experience!"

"The Lobby Lounge at the Four Seasons is a fantastic spot for a special occasion or business lunch. The service is superb, the food is fantastic, and the views of the hotel garden are stunning. The 123 lunch menu makes choosing what to eat easy. The hosts, servers, and staff are all friendly and provide excellent service."

"We eat here often since it is close to where we live. Today we came in with a group of 11, let the hostess know we understand it is a big group and would be happy to split up however it is easiest for her. She was extremely rude and let us know that “it would be at least 30 minutes before she could even think about doing that”. We proceeded to watch several groups of 5 and 6 people come in after us and get seated almost immediately. The wait staff is typically very nice, but the hostess is difficult to interact with every time I’ve come in. For a restaurant that sells mediocre food at outrageously expensive prices, the least they could do is offer good customer service. The hostess that often works Sunday would better serve this restaurant in a back of house role."

"After having given up on this place for inconsistencies, we decided to give it another try as it had been awhile since we had been here. I rarely give a bad rating but for such an amazing location and beautiful restaurant, they cannot seem to get the food and service right. We have been going there since the restaurant opened and at first it was good. Over the years the menu has changed, the food has become inconsistent and now the menu is incredibly limited. The staff used to be great. We were there on the weekend at 12:30pm and even with the beautiful pizza oven, a focal point of the restaurant, there was not a single pizza item on the menu. Slate used to be a go to Brunch place. While the restaurant was fairly empty (maybe 3 or 4 tables seated), our waitress took our drink order and did not come back for 15 minutes. Someone else delivered the drinks. She spent all her time at the bar talking to the bartender and someone else. The food was plated in an uninspired diner way with no garnishment whatsoever. The waitress checked on us once. When we were done she never asked how we wanted the bill just brought two separate bills. This could be such an amazing place. It is so beautiful and has such potential. It used to get packed on the weekends and was a staple in the neighborhood. They need to bring back an A team for both the kitchen and the front of the house, revamp the menu, train the staff, advertise that you have done that so people will come back, and turn this place around."

"When traveling on I-80 between the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe, take the Dixon exit and drive 5 minutes to downtown for a trip back in time at Dawson's. The restaurant's sign indicates they have been in business since 1908. There are tables inside and two outside, making it a pet-friendly place. I enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich with dill-seasoned fries. The chicken breast was juicy and tender, enough to share with my dog, Lulu. After our meal, we enjoyed the 70-degree temperatures and noticed the improvement in the city since my last visit 5 years ago. With a wine bar, yoga studio, sushi restaurant, and farm-to-table options, it seems the city is experiencing a revival. Visitors who only stop at typical fuel points like fast food restaurants and Walmart near I-80 would never know about the charming downtown area. I give Dawson's four stars and an extra star for its great location."

"We started with a cheese board appetizer, which was delicious and featured an interesting selection, although it was a bit small for $14. The scallops, however, were quite disappointing – they were small and not enjoyable. In contrast, the three large scallops I had were cooked to perfection and served on a bed of seasonal fruits for $30, and they were absolutely amazing! Others in our group had steak and short ribs, which were also highly recommended. The service was very accommodating, especially when there was a bit of confusion about our bill. I plan to return for another special dinner when I want to treat myself. I've also heard wonderful things about their Sunday brunch."

"We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service."

"This was my second attempt at using this bakery, and unfortunately, I have not had a pleasant experience either time. The first time, I ordered a $200+ cake for my son's first birthday. The lady from the bakery called to deliver it early but got upset when I explained I was out running errands to prepare for my son's special day. She continued to argue with me on the phone. A year later, I decided to give them another chance and placed another $200+ order in advance. The lady on the phone acted dismissive and laughed at me for trying to plan ahead. In the end, I decided to place my order with Sweet Crumbs Bakery in Wichita at half the price. Unfortunately, it seems like this bakery does not value their customers and I don't believe they deserve another chance. Their lack of respect reflects poorly on them as a small business."

"My daughter, daughter-in-law and myself look for a special place to go to celebrate the holidays. What an amazing venue Potpourri Boulangetie turned out to be! I found it through a Google search and read the glowing reviews. I have to say, our experience exceeded my expectations. I liked having several courses of imaginative, unique small servings of soup, salad and main before the traditional tray of sweets and treats. It was a perfect balance. Each food was unexpectedly delicious. We kept referring to the ingredient list that was thoughtfully supplied to figure out what was in each serving. Not to forget the 4 teas we sipped were amazing. The atmosphere was cozy and classy while the service was friendly and attentive. The dishes looked like a set from a cherished family collection. I highly recommend this place for a special lunch or tea."
