"In terms of evaluating our experience, it would be helpful to have separate ratings for the food, service, and the overall establishment. The ambiance, decor, and cleanliness deserve a solid 5 stars. The food was a mixed bag: while I found the sandwich, potato soup, and mac-n-cheese to be excellent, my husband was disappointed with his salad, which seemed to come from a pre-made container rather than being freshly prepared. On the positive side, they do include a mini cookie with your meal, which I loved.
However, the service left much to be desired—I'd give it zero stars. The kitchen staff seemed to be working hard, but the cashier at the front was either lethargic or just not interested in her job. She lacked engagement, didn’t smile, and was certainly not the welcoming presence you’d hope for as the first point of contact.
After receiving only part of our order and a fork for my soup, I went to the counter to inquire about the rest of our order. I had to wait while another customer dealt with an incorrect order. When it was finally my turn, the other cashier asked if I wanted to reorder, to which I responded no, since I'd already paid. After checking my receipt, she created a new order ticket but didn’t explain why. I had to ask if I was being charged again, and she assured me I wasn’t. Throughout this interaction, she didn’t smile, avoided eye contact, and offered no words of courtesy—no thank you for coming or any pleasant exchanges.
Overall, the experience felt quite unwelcoming, and I don’t plan to return."
