"We initially considered stopping at Taco Cabana, but ultimately decided on this restaurant instead. Located on Beltline in Addison, the area is home to many popular dining spots that are easily accessible. With numerous strip malls around, parking is abundant and free. The weather was pleasantly cool, and I really wanted to sit outside by the large firepit, which can comfortably accommodate a party of 15. However, we opted to go inside first to check in at the hostess stand, where a friendly gentleman seated us and later served our food.
At our table, we found QR codes for both the drink and food menus, which made it easy to view them at any time. While I browsed the menu digitally, my husband preferred the physical menu. The restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes, including both cooked and cold sushi rolls, ramen, poke, and cooked entrees. I decided on the tuna poke bowl, and it was delicious! The poke was cut into small cubes that were easy to pick up with my wooden chopsticks, allowing me to enjoy it without looking like I was overindulging. The bowl included all the components I love: white rice, seaweed salad, crab salad, sliced avocado, and a bed of mixed greens. It was delightful, and I would definitely order it again.
My husband chose the salmon marina, which was baked with a creole crust made from crab and crawfish. It was beautifully plated, but he found it a bit dry. I tasted a small corner of it, and while it seemed fine to me, I wouldn’t have traded my poke bowl for it—mine was just too good!
As for the margaritas on the rocks, I think that was a misstep. They didn't have the flavor or mix I was hoping for, but we didn't let the $10 drinks go to waste. I should have stuck with water or opted for a beer instead, perhaps next time, especially if prices happen to drop.
Overall, this restaurant is a great choice for fine dining, whether you’re in the mood for sushi or not. The menu offers a wide range of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, plus helpful indicators for how spicy or mild each dish may be."
