"I recently dined at Bombay Spice and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The restaurant is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the area, if not the best. The vada pav was hands down the tastiest I have ever had in all the NJ restaurants I have eaten in. The flavors were rich, authentic and perfectly balanced.What really stood out to me was the excellent presentation skills. Each dish was beautifully arranged and garnished, making it not only visually appealing but also appetizing. The restaurant has an excellent ambience with painstaking attention to detail. The decor is elegant and inviting, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy.Furthermore, all the items we ordered were incredibly tasty. The menu offered a wide variety of Indian delicacies, and everything we tried was delicious. The staff was also very courteous and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.Overall, I highly recommend Bombay Spice to anyone looking for a fantastic Indian dining experience. "The pav bhaji was just passable and didn’t taste freshly made. The real letdowns were the aloo paratha, which was too dry and tasted like it had been frozen—definitely not prepared by someone with skill. The vanilla milkshakes were overly milky and lacked the thickness that a proper shake should have. Given the prices, this was quite disappointing. To add to this, the Bombay sandwich was a joke. If you want to experience an authentic one, I highly recommend making the trip to Little Sicily 2 outside of Philadelphia—it’s well worth the drive, but make sure to skip a couple of meals beforehand! As for service, it was counter service with little to no attention beyond that. Even the staff taking orders seemed overwhelmed and rather unenthusiastic. Vegetarian options: This is a fully vegetarian restaurant with a wide range of choices."

"We had taken our friends here for a Saturday brunch. We ordered a few different types of paranthas, paneer vegetable, mixed vegetable and dal along with some starters. I also ordered a buttermilk. The paranthas were good. But the buttermilk came at the end of the meal when we were all done with the food. I had specifically mentioned that we would like to start with the buttermilk. Moreover the buttermilk tasted weird. When I asked them to not charge us for the buttermilk, the person just made a face and charged us anyway. I was disappointed with the customer service."

"I generally don't write bad reviews, I was very unsatisfied with the food today, my daughter wanted to eat gobi Manchurian, I was skeptical to order here, just gave it a chance but was more than disappointed, it was over powered with ketchup and veryspicy it was 9.99$ put to trash ????, I just requested if he can cancel the samosa order and replace with bhel Puri, even thatwas not honored he said samosas were already done... Oh Really! was it freshly made for us the taste did not say so ???? and themost surprising was we had to put the sugar for tea before it was served, he made us put the sugar in a Togo cup and then gotthe ?...we never had this experience in any of the bay area restaurants.. a big no"

"Pickle I got at this place went rotten in 3 weeks. Every Indian knows, usually any pickle stays well for at least one year. I would rather prefer the Indian food truck nearby with amazing food. Woman at the counter made it clear that they don’t want anyone’s business.Owner’s “daughter” was at the counter told me to, I don’t need to buy anything here because I asked questions. Of course I will make my own pickle than buying here.I wanted Pickle and usually get it from here. They usually add dried peas and Kabuli chana so I called in to inquire spoke with some woman. Decided I would but it and went to the restaurant.The same woman, supposedly owner’s grown “daughter” was at the counter. So very rude and nasty person. Their pickle was in refrigerator which is odd because it can stay out in Indian temperatures for months so what’s happening here. As a customer I’ve right to ask questions but she got offended. I wonder why?! Could there anything wrong with the food or storage?!If I were you, I would not buy if she’s at the counter."

"Was surprised to come across this .. had gone looking for indo Chinese when we got tempted to try out some chat We just had a couple of items Mirchi bajji.. worth every cent .. they diced it up nicely into bite sized pieces and gave it some twist with chaat masala as well .. papri chaat was fresh and tasty .. The lady at the counter was extremely sweet as well .. we had by mistake ordered a papri khichadi kind of thing .. and she was helpful in offering to replace it with the chaat .. which is what we really wanted ..."

"I ordered chole bhature and samosa chaat. The bhatura was disappointingly thin and tasteless, and far too small for the price. The chhole also lacked the necessary spices. The samosa chaat was just average in flavor, and the portion size was inadequate for $8—most places would serve at least two samosas, but here they only included one. I noticed that the lassi wasn’t freshly made; it appeared to be purchased from a nearby grocery store. Overall, I highly recommend avoiding this place if you’re in search of Indian snacks."

"This restaurant is very accommodating for vegans and Jains, with all options clearly marked on the menu. The only time I had to ask about the menu was during the buffet. Their Undhiya (vegetable curry with peanut garlic) is delicious, and I also recommend their Leaf Pakora (batter-fried spinach). They have recently added Bhindi (okra) dishes that are fantastic. We usually order takeout and while the phone service can be a bit formal, our orders have always been correct and the staff at the counter are always friendly. I am excited to visit their new location in Farmington Hills soon."

"I used to dine here all the time pre-covid back when the old chef was around and his navratan korma was just off the hook!! So last Saturday I decided to for the buffet $15) after work and there are some pros and cons but for the price its not bad, its got the ambience of a 90s cafe and lots of traffic so you'll hear the horns honking while you try to eat but on the plus side the staff is very friendly...I miss the old chef though... so what did i have?Everything! There was tawa noodles that were pretty good, they had fresh unlimited dosas only for the weekend)w/ coconut chutney, pani puri with 2 types of pani, there were samosas and pakoras too that were room temp., but the server was more than happy to warm it up when I told her, for main course there was lauki daal ki sabzi, shahi paneer which was decent, and malai kofta which was full of dryfruit so it had the richness, the butter rotis were hot and unlimited, and also rice.. for dessert, there were tiny gulab jambun that were ok but the Mango Pulp Ras) was delicious! I couldn't stop at just one cup, It was soo rich and thick and its sweetness was just perfect it made my meal extra delicious. The only issue is other customers some folks are just nasty one man didn't bother washing hands and started handling the food and his body odor was off the charts and disgusting and its not a cheap place so for future customers please have the decency to look and smell appropriate i don't care if you live close by and don't feel the need to look or smell presentable but out of etiquette if you're going out to eat don't ruin it for others with your bad hygiene..."
