"Bad service, it was booked in advance for a birthday, it was not received like other restaurants, it was never mentioned that it was a special occasion (birthday), not even in the dessert, and the piece of meat like it was in Water thawed, tasteless, uncooked and hard, I don't think we will be back, this is the third time we go and it was very bad, I don't recommend it"

"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better cooks with more than one cooking style who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"We made dinner reservations for 5:30 on Friday evening before attending the Ron White Show at the Casino Ballroom. I appreciated that McGuirk’s offered reservations on OpenTable, making it easy to enjoy dinner in this charming East Coast beach town. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted and seated at a table with a lovely view of the beach and boardwalk activity. Our drink orders were taken just minutes after we sat down, and once our drinks—beer, wine, and cocktails—arrived, we placed our food order. We decided on burgers and a chicken sandwich, saving the lobster roll for another visit. The burgers were flavorful, and the chicken sandwich was good as well. If you're expecting a Michelin-star experience, you may be let down, but if you're looking for a casual spot to enjoy a good meal suitable for all ages, I highly recommend stopping by McGuirk’s for a drink and a sandwich. Overall, it's a nice little seaside pub with a great view. Would I return? Absolutely!"

"Food was totally American with Irish names only. Having spent years in Ireland this was as unauthentic as it comes. We Had the Boxties, which were bland, mostly flour and little potato. And the full Irish breakfast which had Boston baked beans, American commercial made (I think it was supposed to be blood pudding) and rye bread instead of soda bread. The mushrooms were raw and not cooked at all. It was awful. Ordered Guinness, they do not even know how to pour them. Actually stated they did not know what a Guinness two minutes is. I am was very excited to go but very disappointed once there. If you are going to call yourself an Irish pub, with authentic Irish fare, perhaps you might want to know what that is and how it is made and should taste. Perhaps go to Ireland at least once to see for yourself."

"Went today for the St. Patrick 's day event . Was very disappointed to find out that there wasn 't a free breakfast buffet as advertised, only free pancakes with a $5 purchase (which, might I add is technically a cover charge, but it also was not stated that that would be the case anywhere on the website. Live Entertainment seemed to just be the TVs and Live Music was just music over the radio. Didn 't end up staying long enough to see about the bagpipers or swag giveaway, but I suspect that the swag would 've just been Guinness lanyards or something like that. Unsure about the bagpipers and what that would entail because I will not be returning today, or likely again. I had been here previously, liked it, and was excited to celebrate a holiday here but this has soured my view of this place. I honestly should have known that a lot of what they advertised wouldn 't have been possible due to how small the place is, but I was hopeful. The issue I have is that I got up and in there at around 7AM only to find out that everything they advertised was false. I had initially made plans to return in the evening for drinks but wanted to enjoy the morning of St. Patrick 's day as well. That will no longer be happening and my day has been soured. Thank you for your time. Edit: The only upside here is that the servers are so sweet. Shout out to them, shame on the owner. Edit 2: Your advert stated that there was to be a FREE breakfast buffet as well as no cover charge. Pancakes with the purchase of a drink is neither a buffet nor not a cover charge. The only drinks we saw were alcoholic and, despite it being St. Patrick 's Day, I was not comfortable with drinking alcohol that early in the morning. Your advert also stated that the live entertainment would be all day. I 've been to other events in which the advertised entertainment has started as doors opened. Sorry to have had that expectation as establishments vary. There was no schedule other than the 7am-10am buffet that was not present. We in no way expected to get the pancakes with the water because we were told of the situation and purchasing requirements. We left because we felt misled from the start and became skeptical about the rest. All I 'm asking for is more clarity on future advertising. Thank you."

"A cozy Irish pub with good food and atmosphere and great bartenders! The Reuben was great but a little dry. Bartender was happy to add extra sauce and did not charge for the extra (thank you). The Sheppards Pie had a great flavor and the coleslaw was well above average (per the person who ate that). 4 stars because there are some things that should not be charged for, like $2 for a slice of rye bread (2-pieces) to sop up the rest of the Paddy's Reuben Dip. The dip had an awesome reuben flavor though it was a little soupy and hard to not dribble off the bread and onto your hand and lap, hence the need for extra bread. Downstairs was a bit crowded with the tables. The old shuffleboard table is not usable as the varnish has worn off. A few people tried to play it with no success. I recommend the upstairs bathroom (even though I did not see it) because the downstairs bathroom doubles as the utility room and as such was not the best bathroom. All-in-all this is a great pub we will return to."

"I was visiting a friend, and he suggested we grab a drink and some food at a bar he had mentioned. Upon entering, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff and patrons all around. The decor appeared to be newly renovated and quite appealing. Our food came out quickly and was fresh; the sandwich I had was bursting with flavor and juicy. I really enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend it to anyone!"

"We attended a surprise birthday gathering where the staff was extremely helpful and excited to participate. It was a great atmosphere for getting together with out group of about 20 people. They sat us at two long tables.Getting our drinks was smooth and our food came out in decent time. I ordered the Cuban which was yummy. Something I would order again, but not a show stopper. The sweet potato fries were yummy :)My husband got the hang over burger which was excellent.But the big show stopper was the Monte cristo. Oh boy! The birthday girl ordered this one but we ended up all eating it. It was like a crispy savory Beignet with meat and cheese inside, and the boysenberry dipping sauce paired perfectly. I'm getting that next time! (It's on their brunch menu). What a treat! The only down side was that they burnt the first Monte cristo so everyone else had their food while the birthday girl was waiting for them to make another one.Overall it was a great place for a birthday lunch!Oh and their water glasses are giant beer-looking jugs which is fun!"

"Came here for brunch again to give this place a 2nd try. I 've never had a worse experience. Our server was so rude and not attentive to us at all. She completely forgot the coffee we ordered and instead was on her phone at the bar for 1 hour while we waited for it, had to go back and ask her for it, there was literally no one else in the restaurant. Food took over 45 min to come out (again, no one in the restaurant). Menu said thick cut bacon, we had ordered a side and got regular bacon. If I 'm paying that much for bacon I want what it says. Her response when we asked why it wasn 't thick cut was this is what we have. And she said she 's already put it on the table and got upset when we sent it back. I will not be coming back here and really do not recommend anyone else comes here."

"Came in for the second time a few weeks ago. Both experiences were delightful!To start we got the fried brie and the scotch egg- both came out piping hot and fresh. Everything was delicious. For my main course I got the fish and chips, and to be fully honest, I cannot recommend it enough. Everything was super salty- but in a good way! The kind where it's almost a little too much but just enough to be dang near perfect.I am sadly not old enough yet to partake in their extensive bar menu- but my brothers were! They said the Guinness there was particularly good.Atmosphere was warm and inviting, service was great, and prices were quite reasonable in my opinion.Easiest five stars I've given in awhile. I'm excited to return."
