"My daughter made a reservation for father's day brunch and was advised that it is basically the same brunch as in the main hotel. Well, what a surprise, it was way short of what she was told. When we arrived we ordered coffee and orange juice, the coffee was barely warm and the orange juice turned out to be apple juice. The waitress told us it all looked the same, granted the apple juice was darker than the clear apple juice. The coffee refill was only lukewarm, not hot. At the third refill, I requested hot coffee and finally got it. The selection of food was very minimal, one type of egg dish, scrambled, only, the bacon was paper thin, as was the few pieces of ham. The pan fried potatoes were nearly cold, but the brisket beef was very good but not hot. It was cut as you go to very thin strips, good thing the knife was sharp. The small sausages were actually good, but not hot enough. The salad green dish was empty and the sauce for the cauliflower/broccoli veggies did not have a serving spoon so you had to dump the sauce out of the dish. The dessert table had a small variety of offers. Overall, I can't see how a supposedly high class hotel restaurant can serve that is not properly temperature controlled, it is dangerous. And finally, for the price of $44.00, it was not worth even half that.Since we are local, we have gone to the main dining room buffet numerous times, the food has always bee very good but pricey. I will not be recommending anyone to the golf course restaurant from now on, it was a real disappointment! ."

"When Seoul meets stomach. A few weeks back, our team spent a portion of the afternoon dining at Urban Seoul in Irvine. This location is semi casual compared to their second restaurant at the Irvine Spectrum. The inside is relatively small, with a variety of tables and booths lining the walls. Outside there is also 2 3 patio seats. We opt'd to sit on their high top patio tables to get some extra needed sunlight. Since the menu looks absolutely delicious, we ordered a smorgasbord to share! This included: Street Corn my all time favorite item. Garlic, cheese, and yummy spices all mixed in with corn. This creamy corn was absolutely delicious and the perfect appetizer. Pork Belly Street Tacos this dish comes with three tacos with your choice of meat. The tacos are topped with lettuce, house sauce, and spicy aioli. Since I'm a bit of a wimp, I exchanged the spicy aioli for garlic sauce. Crabby Patty my god. I've always wondered what a Crabby Patty would taste like and Urban Seoul's did not disappoint. This sandwich is filled with fresh tasty crab, arugula, lemon aioli, pickled Serrano chili, meshed between a brioche bun. Waffle Fries you can never go wrong with fries! These loaded waffle fries were topped with spicy aioli, gogi, mixed cheese, herbs, and pickled red onion. Every item here was absolutely fantastic and left us wanting more. The service was also attentive, and our server consistently went out of his way to customize items to my spice level."

"Tabu Shabu is absolutely delicious and a must try, if you're in the area. If you're lucky enough, you might end up with Taylor as your server, who from start to finish, was a phenomenal and integral part to our experience at Tabu Shabu North Park.Clean, stylish and modern with plenty of bar seating. Since you're sitting side by side, this place is more suited for groups of two. Somehow, my friend and I got lucky on a cold winter night in February and were seated without a wait. Often times, this place can be hit or miss with wait times. If you're hungry, the large size should be more than enough. Feeling extra hungry? Grab some extra noodles and vegetables to fill up your plate! Super hungry? Get the double portion size, which for the additional cost, isn't too terrible. Again, the large size should be more than adequate, especially if you're grabbing appetizers and a beer or two!I got a large order of rib eye, which came with a healthy portion of vegetables and ramen noodles, the Tonkotsu broth, some garlic edamame and left feeling more than satisfied. The staff also helps you pack up your leftover broths and food, which makes for a great meal the next day. I may or may not be slurping some of it right now, as I type this review, ha!Overall, if I'm in the neighborhood again, I wouldn't mind swinging by Tabu Shabu North! The staff, decor and vibe, as well as picturesque food presentation makes this a top contender in one of San Diego's already crowded food scene in North Park. Definitely Check this place out, if you haven't already!Pro tip: With your leftovers at home, add in some rice to make some porridge and/or add in your favorite pack of instant noodles for a delicious meal."
