"We are visiting from out of town, and hoping to try the best sushi spot in Charlotte…. Duck buns were awesome. Sushi was just average. Reading through the menu sounded exciting, as there is a unique list of quality, higher-end ingredients and creative combinations compared to a typical sushi restaurant. But the end result wasn’t anything special unfortunately, and everything was seemingly over-rated. The Black Magic Hako had SO much rice, it was impossible to taste the other high-quality toppings. We go out for sushi quite frequently, and I would normally not feel compelled to leave a review. But.. In all fairness, I would rate the sushi three stars. The reason for my one-star rating here is because the water temperature in the bathroom sinks is DANGEROUSLY hot. When we told our server about it out of concern for others, she just stared at us blankly. Fortunately, another employee overheard and said she would look into it, but that is where it ended. Neither could have been more apathetic that our daughter scalded her hands. And it seems like the promise to look into It was just lip service. Hoping this review makes some difference to someone, but in all likelihood that no one cares, here’s a warning that even halfway between cold and hot is WAY too hot for an adult to be able to keep their hand under the water for more than a second. If you have the water all the way in the hot position, you’re going to leave with second-degree burns."
