"It was a Sunday morning and we planned to meet some of our motorcycling friends for lunch. We originally made reservations for 12:45, but got down there earlier. They were able to seat us immediately. Fortunately, our friends got down there early enough to get a parking space because if they hadn't, parking is a mess there at the pier area. So we sat on the patio, which was nice, but kinda had an alleyway feel to it. Quite a bit of foot traffic, but not much of a view. The table they sat us at was pretty small. It had a bucket in the middle with napkins, utensils, and salt/pepper. There was no way 4 drinks, 4 large plates and everything else would fit on that small table. We had to ask for an extra chair to put the bucket and a few other things on. We ordered the Tequilla shrimp appetizer that was awesome. They also brought out chips with three different kinds of salsa that were also pretty good. I had the Tres Amigos Tacos, which were three tacos...one carne asada, one shrimp, and one lobster. Those were all very good as well. My g/f had the lobster fajitas tacos, She said her's were very tasty and she liked them. We got there early enough to beat the lunch crowd, so they were not busy. Our food came out pretty quickly and was all very hot and fresh. It may be weird, but one of the ways I generally rate service is by my drink glass. Today I had water, and I had to ask several times for a refill. I like the waiter/waitress that sees a half full glass and either refills it, or at least asks if you'd like a refill. Overall, this was a very nice lunch experience. I'd go back, but I'd like to try the Old Town San Diego location next time."

"Next was the macaroni and cheese, which was equally disappointing. The texture was mushy, and the taste was downright unpleasant, featuring a strange flavor that made it nearly impossible to appreciate. I can confidently say it was among the worst macaroni and cheese dishes I have ever had the misfortune to taste. To make matters worse, the food was delivered to me in a manner that left much to be desired. It arrived lukewarm, indicating a clear lack of attention to proper packaging and ensuring that meals reached customers in satisfactory condition. It was obvious that no effort had been made to maintain the food's temperature and freshness during the delivery process. The abysmal customer service I experienced compounded my dissatisfaction. The staff displayed the worst type of service—dismissive and unhelpful. They showed no interest in addressing my concerns or resolving the issues I faced, which was a clear demonstration of a complete lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction. Not only was the food cold, but it also lacked freshness. The flavors were bland and uninspiring, suggesting that the ingredients were far from high quality. It is incredibly disappointing when a restaurant fails to prioritize freshness and flavor, ultimately undermining the entire dining experience. As if those problems weren't enough, my order was also incomplete. I noticed that the rolls and cocktail sauce were missing, which only added to my frustration. It is simply unacceptable for a restaurant to overlook such basic components of a meal, reflecting their lack of attention to detail and disregard for providing a complete and satisfactory dining experience. Overall, my experience at Chicken Galore was a complete disaster. From the burnt potato pancakes to the unappetizing macaroni and cheese, the cold and flavorless food, missing items, and dismissive staff—there was nothing redeeming about this encounter. I can say with confidence that I will never order from Chicken Galore again, and I strongly urge others to avoid it as well. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration by choosing a different restaurant that values quality, customer service, and overall satisfaction."

"I went to the Ubar with my friends to celebrate my bestie's birthday, Friday night. It was an impromptu decision while eating dinner earlier that night in College Park. My friend called the Ubar first to confirm if there was a cover fee and the person that answered the phone said no. We arrived around 10:30 PM and there was no parking left in their section of the shared parking lot, so we parked in the section of the parking lot that is closer to Regions Bank and T Mobile. Security was present in the parking lot and inside and it made things feel safe. There were no boots on anyone's cars once we left the bar either! We were checked by security and there was no cover fee. I visited the location years ago before the pandemic and remember being charged $20 after 10:30 PM. I was happy to not be charged this time, especially after our experience. Once inside, we struggled with finding a place to stand. It was crowded. My friend put our name on the waiting list for a table (party of 6), because we wanted to order drinks (and the bday girl wanted a hookah) and stood by the bar initially. The music was your typical rap, r&b, occasional throwback, with a hint of soca here and there with music videos playing on the TV screens and commentary from the djay as women rode the mechanical bull. We ordered drinks at the bar. Their drinks are on the pricier side now, but I guess that's understandable for the area and with the free entry now. Drinks ranged from $16 $19 and the Hennessey shots were $11. My Hulk (Hennessey and hypnotic) was $16 before gratuity and it was strong, not necessarily good, but not nasty! My friends' Patron margarita was $19, Hennessey and pineapple was $19, and crown and coke was $17. There seemed to be no one monitoring the empty tables because I counted at least six that were empty with old food, drinks, or hookah sitting on them. For that reason, I recommend arriving early to grab a table, making a reservation in advance AND not wearing heels! This environment is casual, even if you are celebrating. Half of my friends were uncomfortable because they came with heels on and we were never seated by the staff. We even followed up after over an hour of waiting and were told that were working through the list. There were three waitlist sheets and they never got to our sheet, while we were there. We ended up seating ourselves near the exit at a table towards the patio and sharing two chairs. The bday girl bought her hookah and brought it over herself from the bar for $35. We danced and had our mini turn up, making the most of it and ended up leaving before 1 AM. Overall, the experience was okay. I would return again but arrive a little earlier and reserve a table in advance if I wanted to sit with my group. My advice to the staff is to do better with monitoring the tables because I am sure that their wait staff is missing out on potential food and drink orders and tips. As many have said, the staff could be more timely and attentive."

"We were driving along Rt. 50 in Lawrenceburg and saw the sign for Whisky's Restaurant. We stopped in, thinking Whisky's and The Lawrenceburger had a shared entrance. Nope! Whisky's entrance was around the side of the building, off the parking lot. But, we COULDN'T leave the Lawrenceburger once we got a whiff of those grilled burgers. The featured burger is 1/2 pound; a little more than we wanted for lunch. So, we went with the 1/4 pound platter: burger, fries and cole slaw. So glad we made this selection. The burger was the perfect size and we had ours topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle and mayo. Talk about a perfect burger!!! This was absolutely delicious and oh so juicy. I think I used 6 napkins. The cole slaw was just as good. Not too sweet and not too tangy. Just perfect. This also came with a large helping of some of the best fries I've had in a long time. They were long and thinly cut with what appeared to be a light coating, and they were fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside and light/tender on the inside. And hot, too. No cold fries in this place. We started talking with another couple at the table next to ours. They were just passing through town, heading back home to Wisconsin, after spending time in Gatlinburg and stopped by on a whim. They decided to try a hometown place versus a fast food burger stop. They were just finishing their meal as we ordered ours. They had the same positive comments about their meal that we had as we took our first bites. This is definitely on our list of places to visit again when we return to southern Indiana. (We were told by the server that the Sloppy Joe is a favorite. We may have to try that on the next visit, although it would be very difficult to pass up the burger platter. Parking: Parking lot is shared with Whisky's. Plenty of parking when we were there around 2:30 PM on a weekday."
