"I've visited this restaurant many times and have generally found the food to be above average. However, my experience last night was disappointing. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu, and while the description matched what I received, I regret thinking it would be acceptable. What I was served was a flattened chicken breast topped with two slices of ham and a piece of Swiss cheese. Priced at $23.95, it was flavorless and quite unpleasant. I chose not to complain in the moment because I didn't want to upset my dad. Interestingly, the spinach on the side was actually more enjoyable than the main dish. After returning home, I called the restaurant, and the hostess said she would inform the chef that the chicken cordon bleu wasn't prepared correctly. Looking back, I find that response quite amusing. I can safely say I won’t be ordering the chicken cordon bleu here again, but I must mention that the cauliflower mash is absolutely delicious!"

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"A friend recommended the place to me and it was our first time eating at Ken's. I loved the atmosphere. We sat at a table in the bar area and watched the Hawk's game, enjoying drinks and appetizers, while waiting for our dinner. I had the salmon special and it was excellent. My husband had the prime rib and my son had steak. The guys really enjoyed their meals too. We will definitely visit again soon."

"Unfortunately in order to leave a review a star has to be checked because after my experience this place deserves zero stars. My family wanted bbq for New Year’s Eve, my family has eaten here before so it’s what they wanted. We were forced to order and pay for the food the day before pick up which was immediately suspicious but it’s what my family wanted so I did it. Day of pick up. I arrived at 4 pm the time I scheduled pick up. My order wasn’t ready yet. Keep in mind I had to order the food the day before so it should not have been a surprise when I got there on time. Anyways. While on my way home I noticed the food in my bag was tepid or lukewarm at the most which is definitely a food safety violation, thank goodness nobody got sick. So dinner time comes and the food was absolutely horrible, half of the meat was burnt to a crisp the other half was tough and chewy like jerky. Obviously I was not pleased so I emailed the restaurant and being that I work with the public I understand mistakes happen so I didn’t even demand a full refund. I requested a gift card for a portion of my bill in the small chance I would ever patronize this restaurant again. I was told by I’m assuming a member of management that I had to leave my house and physically return the terrible food I was given by the negligent staff on New Year’s Eve… lolol after that the person asked me to send photos of the food which I will be sharing here. So I sent the pictures as well as a copy of my receipt. And in return I got the equivalent of the middle finger salute. No response at all, how nice of them to take my money give me terrible food that they probably wouldn’t give to their dogs, to tell me to go f k myself after simply requesting compensation for my food…. Do yourself a favor if you ever plan on eating here in the future. Don’t."

"This is my second time coming to Alex's GARDENS. The first time it was for my wife's birthday. My second time was very disappointing. We made a reservation and we got there a little early. The hostess checked our reservation and seated my wife and I in an extremely small table even though there were other empty booths and tables in the place that were larger. We asked if we could be moved, but the hostess refused. Rather than make a seen, we tried to make the best of it. The table was so small that we could only order one dish at a time because of the limited space on the table. In short, we just took a majority of our dinner to go since we were crammed in a small table against the corner. Seriously need to think about ever coming back again to such a small eating space even though other alternatives were available."

"At first we had a dame that served us our water and picks up our drinks orders and said: “Your server will be right with them” another guy comes by dropping my drink, hasn’t said anything. 30 minutes later, the manager comes by to check on us and asks if our server had come to the table we told her no. the type that has left off our drinks was our server, but did not introduce, did not ask if we would celebrate tonight, did not ask if we were willing to order. the manager went back and spoke to him and sent the dame that filled our water to take over our commands, and she was mad at us that we told the manager that we haven't seen our server yet. our server finally comes when we are completely finished and goes “you need something” yes how about service? I told him that we are all good that he does not even dessert or recommend anything and ask if we need any boxes. the food was a good service. switched off because I was 3 times in chicago and unfortunately did not return to the oak Brook site."

"It was my fiancée's birthday, and we decided to try this restaurant for the first and last time. Unfortunately, the steak had a burnt taste and was quite bland. I ended up asking for A1 sauce to make it more palatable. While the inside of the steak was decent, we ordered regular mashed potatoes twice and received garlic mashed potatoes on both occasions. The waitress was kind enough to offer compensation for the error. I've been to many steakhouses, and so far, Ruth's Chris has been my favorite. I feel that Outback is better than Chicago Prime Steak, but I had higher expectations for this restaurant, especially given the prices on the menu."

"My dining companion suggested this restaurant to see if it had changed in the last few decades. It had, but arguably only for the better. We commented on the 1980s music before realizing that this was the equivalent of 1940s music at the steakhouse when we were kids. We have become our parents. In that vein, we ordered cocktails instead of beer (do they even have beer? and toasted to our parents introducing us to fine dining. We shared a platter of raw blue point oysters prepared perfectly and served with horseradish and cocktail sauce before our entrees arrived. I could have easily chosen the cedar plank salmon or the equally enticing chicken piccata, or any of a half dozen meals that beckoned. They also have an impressive selection of steaks and seafood, as it is their specialty. But I indulged in the hot honey chicken, whose asparagus side called to me. And, c'mon.. Hot honey sauce? No contest. Having sneaked a look at the dessert special (creme brulee , we saved room for that delight to finish out our visit. I highly recommend Ki's on every metric service, value, food quality and can't wait for an occasion to return."

"Probably the worse food I have tried in the Chicago area? We tried the calamari and the burger given the good reviews. Both products were of sub-par quality with other places and given the price. The marinara sauce had ?fake? parmigiano in it, thecalamari had onion powder sprinkled on top, the burger was overcooked and frankly flavorless, even the lemon they gave us wasold and had no juice. At one point I was worried I had covid given how bad everything was tasting? The only food that was goodwere the freshly fried fries. I would recommend avoiding this place until they don?t decide to buy fresh and better productsfor their food, without messing the flavors. We had to go to McDonald?s to get a better tasting burger than this place for afraction of the price!!"

"We celebrated a 60th birthday there last night, and choosing Prime Steakhouse was the perfect decision! Everything—from the atmosphere to the service and food—was a perfect 10/10! Our waitress was delightful and incredibly knowledgeable. She was friendly and excelled at her job! The food was fantastic, with an impressive array of options, including dessert. We tried various dishes, and everything was delicious! A special shoutout to the lobster bisque, pasta dishes, and the amazing carrot cake! Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience! "China's restaurant was incredible. The garlic bread was delightful, bursting with a robust garlic flavor. The baked clams were both tender and flavorful. The pasta served with garlic sauce and seafood was cooked to perfection. The scallops practically melted in your mouth, and even the baby squid were delectable. The stuffed shrimp featured a delicious crab filling and a light tempura batter. The lobster bisque was rich and loaded with generous chunks of lobster. They even display invoices from airlines showcasing their fresh seafood in the atrium."

"This is one of our go to restaurants for b'days, anniv, etc. A little far from home, but centrally located for several family members to meet up at. The food is excellent and good size portions. The chopped steak is a favorite of mine, our son in law favors the ribs, and my husband really likes Jimmy's cut of the New York strip (basically high end fillet). Baked potatoes are a really good size and definitely made in the oven (some places cheat and microwave first yuck). Adequate wine and beer choices and good feature cocktails. Looking forward to our next visit!!"

"I really enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant, which featured no TVs and a charming collection of rural Italian decor. It aims to provide an authentic old-school Italian dining experience. Overall, we had a great time until my wife received her meal. Our appetizers were served alongside our main courses, which is generally, not ideal. Unfortunately, her calamari was over-fried and tasted as unappetizing as rubber. Everything else was quite good, but the disappointment on my wife's face when she tasted her dish put a damper on the evening. On the positive side, my seafood lasagna was exceptional, and the drinks were equally impressive. The prices were very reasonable, and the staff was friendly. However, they seemed uncomfortable when I mentioned that the calamari was inedible, which didn’t help the situation. Overall, it felt awkward."
