"I arrived here just before closing time for the night. The atmosphere may not have been the greatest, but the food definitely made up for it! I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and was pleased to find that it was a generous portion for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be coming back for more. This is one of the best Asian restaurants in the city, if not the best. The service was excellent and the meal type was dinner. The price per person is between $10-20. I would rate the food and service a 5 and the atmosphere a 3. I would highly recommend the Sweet and Sour Pork, Orange Flavor Beef, Beef Fried Rice, Triple Delight, Wonton Soup, Shrimp Fried Rice, Roast Pork Fried Rice, Curry Chicken, Double Cooked Chicken, Boneless Spare Ribs, and New Jade Special Chop Suey."

"There was not enough seating for 5 people. I had to sit at the end of the table with a chair like a child. The automatically charge you 15% gratuity for your meal. The sign at the front of the restaurant states that, if you have 5 or more in your party, you will only be charged one gratuity per table. That was not the case, when the bill came we were charged 2 separate gratuities. It was difficult trying to explain why did this happen, after all the yelling stopped, they finally decided to change the bill and disregard the extra gratuity fee.Its terrible how they try and rip you off, not only do they bill for gratuity but have the nerve to have a line/space so you can tip them again.OUTRAGEOUS!!!Parking: Very hard to find parking, we parked a half block away."

"All I could say about the food, it’s very salty and didn’t taste like Cajun. My combo smelt really weird, chemical smell. Every time I drank my soda I would get this acid sensation in my throat. I don’t know if it was the cajun flavor of the crab, shrimp, potato but it didn’t feel great. The service and atmosphere was great! They could’ve done better with the food. I’ve tasted A LOT of seafood boil combos and I know if they have nice taste and they didn’t use old food. But this was 5/10."

"I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. My credit card number was stolen and four unauthorized charges were made. I strongly advise against using your credit card if you decide to eat here. Aside from the theft, the food was really disappointing. I dined here once before and had a good meal, but it seems the quality has significantly declined. The food was simply awful this time around."

"I’ve been going to Hook Reel on the boulevard since they first opened. The last six months or so they have just gotten very lazy and stingy. I understand due to Covid prices had to go up, but what I don’t understand is how prices go up and they give you less food than before. Today myself and three co-workers made a take out order. we had to go there two different times and both times our order wasn’t right. I ordered a shrimp boil with a pound of shrimp, corn, potatoes, broccoli, and a pound and a half of sausage. I only had six shrimps and and a half a pound of sausage, when they charge me three times for the sausage. My coworker order was all screwed up and had the wrong spice level. All of our order were between $40 $50. We were so disappointed and I will not be returning."

"Ordered via GrubHub and the food was packaged well and secured. Food was warm upon arrival.However, this has to be the blandest seafood I’ve ever had. It lacks flavor. With the different options for seasonings and spice level I was really disappointment that it taste literally like garlic and water. I think after the seafood is cooked, they’re putting it in a water based and not butter. And you can totally tell the difference. The taste is off.I ordered the crawfish and shrimp. Crawfish were small and lacked flavor. Shrimp were good, just lacked flavor.I think the potatoes and corn are a bit falsely advertised. I’ve never had a seafood bag that came with diced potatoes and cut corn. I understand stretching a dollar but this ain’t it."

"I absolutely love this restaurant! It offers the best service and a fantastic selection of high-quality, delicious seafood. The atmosphere is perfect for any occasion, and the place is always spotless. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food is consistently served hot, in generous portions, and at reasonable prices. This is by far the best seafood restaurant I've visited in a long time, and it's now my go-to spot whenever I'm craving a seafood boil platter. It excels in every aspect you'd want from a dining experience. They also provide all the essentials, like scissors, gloves, claw crackers, and plenty of napkins. The inclusion of scissors really shows that they pay attention to detail, and they definitely did not disappoint! A MUST VISIT and I can't wait to return!"

"STAY AWAY... They will scam you by not publishing prices. I had lunch boil that was $116.62 for one person which included: 6 shrimp, lobster tail, and 3 King crab legs. The waiter was deceitfull when asked about the specials. He was slik in telling us market price , knowing that we cam in for an affordable lunch. When the check arrived, the manager hid, and the server would only say market price , which is vague as he did not tell us the the market price was $79 per pound until he presented the check. The atmosphere is that of a sub shop, certainly not the Palm, and the service falls below average when you factor in the decptive practice. STAY AWAY or BE FOREWARNED!"

"I was initially unsure about ordering from this place because of the potentially messy food. However, I'm so glad I decided to go for it! My meal arrived piping hot and fresh, perfectly packaged in a travel bag and even double-bagged for extra protection. Inside, there were wet wipes, gloves, and plenty of napkins. The meal included a generous serving of shrimp and some garlic bread, which was delicious—similar to Cane's bread but a bit more toasted. There was also plenty of sauce included, so there's really no need to buy extra. I ended up eating right out of the bag, and it wasn't nearly as messy as I expected; I just needed a bib! Overall, I would rate this experience a perfect 10/10 and will definitely order again."

"The view of the Hudson was spectacular. It's finished. The overpriced drinks were badly made. When I commented on the bartender, her idea was to fix it, add more alcohol. As far as food is concerned, the corn's staleness made it uneisable. The broil seafood and taco we order were okay. And everything we ordered was cold 42 minutes after the order. For a wide a very tempting place, but absolutely disappointing in the area. Don't go to the food!!!!"

"I was in the mood for seafood for lunch and ordered two lunch specials via phone. I ordered 1 shrimp and clams lunch special and 1 shrimp and mussels with Cap't Loui sauce (medium spice) lunch special. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked in and the lady asked my name and grabbed my food. It came to about $27. I paid and left. When I got in I tried everything and the the clams were huge but very rubbery. I had to chew one hundred times and still couldn't break it down. The shrimp wasn't bad though. The sauce was spicier than I expected. The garlic noodles and mussels were good but the spice was over powering. I had a decent experience."

"Never going back here. I use to love the boiler. My friend and I went on Fri evening and it was about 6 ppl in there as customers. When we are seated we learn that there is NO alcohol but they have complimentary mimosas ?. This should have been a sign to leave however, we stayed. We have one waitress and then we no longer see her and what appears to be a busboy comes and take our order. Food comes back and the chicken wings seem like old reheated garbage, the seafood combo I ate was overpowered by the sauce and seasoning to the point I felt sick and didn’t even eat half of it. The person who we originally thought was our waitress comes and goes with zero acknowledgment of our table and won’t even look our way. The busboy finally comes and bring mimosas where one glass had a lipstick stain and the other had black dots throughout the drink. At this point we were over it so we get the original waitress and advise her we’re ready for the check she says she will let our waiter know. So I’m guessing they just completely switched. I say alll of that to say..As an HR professional for a major retailer, the customer service and overall experience in this establishment this day was absurd based on the fact that one you do not have the alcohol/drinks that you are known for and what attracts ppl to your place of business, there was no one there for the customer service to lack in ANY way, if you were busy I could totally understand but when you have employees lily gagging around and no acknowledgement of the tables except what is required bring food bring drinks and take orders) it almost makes it pointless to have waiters and waitresses. Customer service needs to be addressed in this place if it last any longer and I will say acknowledgement goes a LONG way when it comes to customer service so I hope it is addressed and or corrected."

"Went here for my grandmas birthday, didn’t know that everyone at the table have to get the same exact thing or you cannot order the all you can eat option, yes , there are two all you can eat options, one with crab and the other without crab. Everyone has to get the same thing. In our party some people just wanted a la cart, and some wanted all you can eat,some of us had to switch to different tables to get what we wanted. I understand why they do that but that still doesn’t help the situation where we all can’t sit together to enjoy my grandmas birthday. I ordered the all you can eat with including the crab. I got the lemon pepper option and also the everything mix. The snow crab wasn’t good (doesn’t have that much meat), the muscles where okay, crawfish was okay,Dungeness crab , hot Sausage, garlic noodles and fries was good. When you purchase the all you can it it is also required that you get a drink, it’s not included in the price, it’s additional, and I wasn’t aware of that when I had to order it, I found out at checkout. I got the mango margarita and that was good."
