"I was in the mood for seafood for lunch and ordered two lunch specials via phone. I ordered 1 shrimp and clams lunch special and 1 shrimp and mussels with Cap't Loui sauce (medium spice) lunch special. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked in and the lady asked my name and grabbed my food. It came to about $27. I paid and left. When I got in I tried everything and the the clams were huge but very rubbery. I had to chew one hundred times and still couldn't break it down. The shrimp wasn't bad though. The sauce was spicier than I expected. The garlic noodles and mussels were good but the spice was over powering. I had a decent experience."

Ah love this spot, they have one of the best cajun sauces around. I love how spicy it is. I also appreciate that they have lunch specials too. Def a great place for casual eats in the area. Parking can be an issue but overall worth it. View menu

My first experience with Cap't Loui was in Montclair, NJ. They had friendly staff and delicious food. Now, Cap't Loui on Tuesday is something else. $1 oysters! Beat that! And it's actually good! I love Cap't Loui sauce spicy. Will definitely go back on Tuesday nights.

Came to enjoy a quite lunch with my girl on a Tuesday afternoon. Just to get pressed by the waitresses because I guess the 15 i left was not good enough. Meanwhile the whole back wall was nasty and splattered with crab leg juice and other nasty stuff. I was very disappointed about the way they came at me but overall the food was good. U can take your chances but I won't be dinning here again.
