"When we arrived the restaurant was nearly empty at 5:30 on a Friday evening. We were excited since we were seated at the corner table overlooking the water which was great. From there everything went downhill. The table was set on a dirty table. We needed to call the waiter to wipe the table. We ordered our meal (2 adults 2 kids). It is nice they have a kids menu. It took forever for the meals to be delivered. The adult meals were delivered then eventually the kids (should of been delivered all at the same time). Our son when he ordered his chicken tenders had requested barbecue sauce. The waiter when he finally delivered the chicken tenders stated he had to go downstairs to get the barbecue sauce which took another long time. Considering how slow the service was and he had not forgotten one would of thought he would of retrieved the barbecue sauce earlier and delivered all the meals together. The food itself was lackluster with little taste except heavily on the salt side. I would not suggest going to this restaurant unless you like the location and that they have a reasonable priced kids menu. If you expect decent food and service as well go someplace else. There are two restaurants at this location owned by the same company. The downstairs restaurant was far more crowded and might be better though it seemed to be more of a pubish type of place with a decent bar crowd. One last point the picture on OpenTable shows white tablecloths. The tables had no table cloths, they were basic low end restaurant tables. The site portrays a level of restaurant it is not"

"Tried this restaurant about 5 years ago and it was terrible, the chicken was rubbery, there was just nothing about anything we had that was better than mediocre. Although the dessert we had was good. We decided to give it another try after someone was raving about the short ribs. We had to get a reservation months in advance. I was expecting the food to be much better since it 's always so busy. I 'll start with the positives, service was good, food came out fairly quickly, they serve pretty good bread with both butter and olive oil dip, and all of that was really good. The french fries are fresh cut and those were also good, although the garlic and gorgonzola dipping sauces were quite bland. The key lime pie was fantastic although it was a pretty small piece for $12, extremely overpriced! Everything on the menu is overpriced. They had a sweet potato maple bourbon bisque that was really great, creamy texture and great flavor. My friend got the pork belly but was unimpressed. I was so excited for the short ribs, the waiter said they had been braised all day and that it 's a customer favorite. It was so disappointing, I went to cut into it with my fork expecting it to be tender and fall apart and it was so tough I had to use a knife to cut it, it was not tender. Flavor was mediocre. But the texture was extremely disappointing. The mashed potatoes were decent, nothing to write home about...as was the asparagus. Will definitely not be back, way overpriced for disappointing quality. If you want delicious, fork tender, fall off the bone, melt in your mouth, short rib... go to vault@237. response to owner* actually the waiter said maybe it was a bad cut or fatty that WASNT the issue. they were not cooked properly to be tender. why would i wait around for you to cook them for another 30 minutes til they were as tender they shouldve been in the 1st place?! as for bringing in water bottles we arent interested in drinking chemical tap water...i review restaurants regularly and you are the only person that has ever said a word about it...so no, most restaurants do not have that policy. you say you allowed us, as if you think you have the right to control if people drink their own filtered water. thats absurd!"

"We've had a series of tragedies in the family so thought we'd get away for an escape. Unfortunately it was an uncomfortable and disappointing experience. Food was over cooked and dry. Restaurant seemed to have an AC failure. We were sweating bullets through $60 meals. Last, waitress was rude, condescending, and clearly didn't want to be there. I know we all have bad nights I've been in food service 15 years), but being condescending and rude is never okay. The host was very lovely. She was a bright spot. We ordered the brussel sprouts and liver for our starters. The brussels were over fried to the point of dryness. It's a sad trend to see what restaurants are doing to brussel sprouts : Not much flavor. The liver mousse was pretty bland. Also surprisingly, we weren't given anything to spread the liver on so I just ate it with a fork. Not appetizing looking, under seasoned. Not much flavor. Feels very clumsy for fine dining. After two bad appetizers I didn't have hope for the remainder. We just ate the food and tried to get out quick. The crab cake soft shell meal was the real disappointment. The crab cake was over cooked and dry, and I didn't see any lump meat--all filler and backfin. For a $60 meal I expected some blue crab but I also should know better I guess. The soft shell was very sad--no seasoning to speak of. I've had way better soft shells from dive bars and mom and pop places. I laughed when I got the receipt and saw this meal was $59 because I knew I was conned. The rest of the plate is basically garnish. They didn't season the vegetables. My husband's filet was okay. He asked for no mushrooms and of course this is the kind of place that can't bear the thought of such a request lol. They gave him mushrooms anyway of course. Frankly, we started the night at Sean Bolan's and the hospitality was excellent--pleasant, warm, and personable. Entering One Eleven was a mistake."
