"Black's BBQ has the same great taste as all the expensive BBQ places, without the price. We were able to get 1/2 pound turkey, 1/3 pound brisket, half a chicken with 5 sides for around $40. The turkey and chicken were moist and almost melted in your mouth. The lean brisket was still pretty fatty, but tasted good. The sides are larger than what I expected to get. The green beans surprised me with their flavor and non-waxy texture. The indoor dining area is quite small and the line was out the door when we got there. Overall, would eat here over the expensive BBQ places."

The BBQ was fantastic . It was difficult to decide what to get because it all looked so tasty. Ended up with jalapeno cheddar sausage, brisket, mac and cheese, and green beans. So good.

This restaurant has been family-owned since 1932, making it the oldest in Texas. The Brisket is incredibly tender and the Beef Rib offers a fantastic chew and flavor. The sauces and sides are also very good.

There’s usually a line outside so be mindful of that. Limited inside seating, outside seating available too. Really great brisket, sausage, and ribs. The sides are phenomenal I usually get their Mexican street corn and their super cheesy Mac n Cheese! Peach cobbler is to die for! View menu

The first time I have eaten at this place, I think as far a meat goes it was good. I have had better bbq before here. The bbq sauce was more of a vinaigrette base and more tangy than sweet. The service was ok, one lady was friendly here but the gentleman was not. I would go here again and try the rest of the meat options when I’m back in Austin.

Wow, what an amazing BBQ meal! The brisket and turkey sausage were cooked perfectly, with the brisket literally melting in your mouth. It was so tender that you could easily cut it with a plastic spoon. This restaurant is definitely in the top 5 in Austin. The location is fantastic, with plenty of seating, generous portion sizes, and a great atmosphere. I can't wait to come back soon.

First time trying the Satellite location. The service was really meh, like the workers were zombies with the personality of rocks. Just crack a little smile, be Texas friendly. The brisket had been on the warmer for quite some time, while it looked delicious, it was crispy hard with only about half of it edible. The slaw and Norma Jean's beans were fantastic. The sausage, I had both styles, was scrumptious. Pricing was STEEP, $28 for the single serve brisket, 2 small links, 2 sides and drink. View menu

The pork ribs were tender and juicy, with a delicious smoky flavor that enhanced each bite. The beef ribs were exceptional, offering a strong and hearty taste that lingered on the tongue. And not to mention the beef brisket, which was expertly cooked to perfection, featuring a delectable combination of spices that elevated the overall flavor. From start to finish, the BBQ restaurant provided an outstanding and unforgettable culinary experience. If you find yourself in Austin again, it is definitely worth a visit!

When I first moved to Austin, one of the initial BBQ joints I tried was this one, which indisputably tops my list for beef briskets. My visit on a Sunday afternoon was marked by a short queue and quick service, accompanied by the option of both inside and outside seating. While I'd rate the steak ribs and pork ribs a moderate 3 out of 5, this venue is more reasonably priced compared to other BBQ places I've tried in the city. Plus, with Amy's Ice Cream situated at a walking distance, it is a convenient spot to enjoy a dessert afterward.
