"The moment you step into Red Ash, you're enveloped in an ambiance that exudes warmth and sophistication. The contemporary yet cozy decor features exposed brick, rustic wood accents, and an open kitchen where you can witness the culinary magic happening. The dimly lit dining area creates an intimate atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner or a special celebration.Service at Red Ash is nothing short of impeccable. The attentive and knowledgeable staff ensures you feel pampered throughout your visit. From wine pairings to menu explanations, they're on hand to enhance your dining experience. The timing of each course is impeccable, allowing you to savor every moment. Our culinary journey began with the Wood-Roasted Octopus, a dish that set the tone for the evening. The tender octopus, kissed by the wood-fired grill, was paired with a flavorful Mediterranean salsa verde that left us craving more. The Grilled Caesar Salad was a creative twist on a classic, with charred romaine hearts and smoky dressing that elevated this salad to new heights. The main courses at Red Ash are nothing short of extraordinary. The Wood-Grilled Ribeye was a carnivore's dream, perfectly cooked to our preference and bursting with flavor. The Fresh Pasta Carbonara, prepared tableside, showcased the chef's skill and precision, resulting in a creamy, indulgent delight. The Whole Branzino, grilled to perfection and served with a zesty lemon herb sauce, was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to using top-quality ingredients. And the Wood-Roasted Mushrooms Risotto was a symphony of earthy flavors, with creamy Arborio rice and a medley of wild mushrooms. Our dessert journey concluded with the Chocolate Budino, a decadent treat that struck the perfect balance between rich and sweet, making it an ideal ending to our culinary adventure.Red Ash boasts an extensive wine list and a selection of craft cocktails that complement the menu beautifully. We enjoyed a bottle of Italian red wine that paired flawlessly with our meal.Overall, Red Ash is a culinary masterpiece that combines the art of wood-fired cooking with Italian cuisine to create an unforgettable dining experience. From the inviting ambiance to the attentive service and the exquisite dishes, this restaurant deserves every bit of its five-star rating. If you're looking to indulge in a gastronomic journey that delights all your senses, Red Ash is the place to be. Making a reservation is strongly recommended, as this is a dining destination that many are eager to experience."

Red Ash was as expected.. DELICIOUS! Everything we ordered was 10/10. The buratta and bone marrow were perfectly flavored. The pasta dishes were also divine, great wine selection too. Will definitely be back! View menu

We visited Red Ash for the first time and had a great experience! The stuffed squash blossoms were a tasty starter and our entrees were also delicious. The noise level made it a bit challenging to talk, but we will definitely be back.

JoeFoodTour awesome Italian restaurant in downtown Austin. Usually takes 6-8 months to get a table. Food and service were top notch. Cesar salad, bone marrow, pasta with seafood, steak and dessert was amazing! HowdyFromHouston ThePropertyJoes

From start to finish, everything was delicious! We had the bread, snapper crudo, capelletti, agnelotti, and gelato. To drink, the Satan's circus, then espresso martini. It was all pretty fabulous! Service was prompt, and food came out at good times and temps. We did wish we had gotten the bone marrow and will next visit! View menu

Super loud, over rated and extremely disappointing. Asked server if a dish contained chives as the two other dishes we ordered had them although it was not indicated on the menu- was assured it did not contain chives, scallops or green onions, but alas, a third dish I could not eat. Drink was…eh. Bummed we waited 8 months to eat here.

Best meal in Austin? Yes. Came on a Thursday night as a friend was visiting with no reservation. We were super lucky to get a table, but make sure you get those reservations in advance!!! We started with the hot and crispy country Italian bread! It was good but honestly you can skip unless you absolutely need carbs! Red snapper crudo: Absolutely incredible. The smoked trout roe added another dimension to the crudo, and the sauce was just incredible. A must order.Thin sliced beef carpaccio: another must order. Hands down one of my favorite takes of raw beef ever. The horseradish crema added the perfect amount of kick. Everything about each bite was just so delicious. Tagliatelle alla bolognes...

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
