"My wife and I worked as servers at Tony Roma?s TR in Orlando. Me for 20 years and she for 5 years. Still living in Orlando I often crave the onion loaf and ribs. Down in west palm beach there is a TR but they do not serve the onion loaf. TR without onion loaf is un-American. Anyway the west palm beach location is connected to an old hotel but the ribs were great. Now I see that a TR opened in Raleigh North Carolina so the wife and I took the 1:30 Delta flight to RDU from MCO to visit Saturday night. Made a reservation on OpenTable for 5:15 PM and arrived just before. The outside looks just like a TonyRomas attached to a hotel but the inside could be any restaurant really. This TonyRomas is attached to a brand new Marriott Delta Hotel and the restaurant has been open less than two months. We were sat at a very comfortable booth which overlooked the food line which I was very happy to do as we wanted to see the food coming out of the window. Having worked there so many years I was happy to see so many of the old favorites on the menu. However the menu was as big with variety as the cheesecake factory which always causes me concern that the kitchen will be overwhelmed. We ordered a well-done onion loaf and chicken shrimp with no chives. They both came out perfect as we ordered. The onion loaf was amazing and so was the Kickin shrimp. I do miss however the barbecue mayonnaise dipping sauce which used to accompany the onion loaf. I also missed the red hot sauce which when combined with mayonnaise made the perfect dipping sauce but that is no longer so I combined mayonnaise and Carolina honeys which was just a little too sweet. The ticket time was over 25 minutes which is quite long however we were in no rush. Our server brought over bread which was not like the bread we remember served with margarine. I recommend going back to the herb butter that was previously served with bread or to regular butter as margarine is just gross. Our server Jivonni was attentive friendly"

"Long an advance, a reservation was made for 17 people. When we got there the table had not been prepared for this large a group. We found that management had put but one waitress on duty for the entire evening to handle this very large table, about nine other tables that handled up to 4, and 100 of all the bar traffic. Far too much for one woman to handle. Our reservations were made for 5:30 pm and no other patrons we're in the restaurant when we arrived. Obviously, the waitress was overwhelmed. Notwithstanding, we were all seated by 5:45 pm. The lovely waitress calmly took all of our orders as we all ask for Separate Checks according to couples. It doesn't take much to understand that was 17 orders, the chef was overwhelmed as well but all of the orders were delivered together. Again, only the one waitress did the serving while she was running back and forth to get orders from other tables and service the three men who were healthy drinkers sitting at the bar. Our meals took over 30 minutes to be delivered. After we finished, the waitress cleared the table of all the used plates and took all of them back to the kitchen, then started separating all of the checks. Unfortunately only two of 9 checks were correct and then the Fiasco started. Exactly one hour and 15 minutes later, all of us decided that our checks were correct and the unflustered waitress collected them and charged them out to us. By this time we were happy to leave but felt very sorry for this sweet waitress who ran the entire restaurant all by herself. In this case, the waitress cannot take any of the blame. This is all management fault for even taking the reservation but then sticking one person to handle an entire restaurant is just Unforgivable. Although the food was very good, I would warn everyone to stay away from this place unless one checked to see how many waitresses are on duty and how full the restaurant is."
