"I was excited to order from this restaurant because I remember how good it was 6 years ago. I made an online order for pickup and called once I arrived. I thought there was curbside pickup because I didn?t see any instructions on where to get the food. I asked the woman who answered says, ?I guess I can come bring out to you.? [with an attitude] -Terrible hospitality! I don?t feel entitled to receive curbside but, the way the message was conveyed let me know the culture of this place has significantly changed. The worse part was the quality of the food!!! ? Not at all does it have the taste of authentic Italian food. Packaging was awful as the liquid spills out easily. I would have been more satisfied with Noodles and Company. Did ownership change within the last 6 years? I?m trying to understand what?s going on here. This place was a staple restaurant in Rockville and may have lost its? charm. ?"

"I have been to Houlihan's before and have had positive experiences but this time was not. While our table was ready for us right at our scheduled time, the remainder of the night was not great. There was an overhead light that kept going from bright to dim, bright to dim, bright to dim right over our table. This happened on and off throughout the night. We were also entirely ignored for the first 20 minutes after we sat down, then even after ordering a glass of wine, it took another 15 or so to order. We ordered an appetizer (the Mushrooms amazing) and the fish tacos to split between the two of us (so not a lot of food) but that then proceeded to take a full half hour to arrive. We had made our server aware that we had a show we were going to so while we thought a full hour and 15 minutes would be plenty, we were mistaken. Do not go there hoping for timely service. Or for the manager to come by and either apologize for the crazy light or for the tardy food (which was great when it arrived)."

"Passed this restaurant multiple times and finally went in. The parking lot was crowded during lunch time on a Saturday, thought this was a good sign. Upon walking in, a musty smell was apparent. The carpeting is a dingy color and doesn?t help the appearance of looking dirty. We were seated by the hostess, who had no personality and appeared bored. Used the bathroom to wash up and it was also dirty. Our server was really nice. Ordered drinks and the **** mary was delicious. Ordered a turkey and ham sandwich, my wife ordered the salmon. our food took a while to prepare. When it came to the table, the server accidentally dropped the tray so only my spouse got her food. The server apologized and put in an order for my sandwich again. I sat there watching my spouse eat. When my sandwich came out 10 minutes later, it wasn?t anything special and only ate about half. The Salmon turned out to be very good. Saw the server telling the manager about the mishap as she was getting us the check.Thought for sure they would comp my drink. Server came over and dropped the check and said nothing more. Nothing comped and full check to pay. We paid it and left. Gave a 3 star rating for decent salmon, However, We won?t be returning."

"The restaurant was very nice but extremely loud. The appetizers we chose were the avocado eggrolls and the couscous mac and cheese balls. The eggrolls were good but way spicier than described. The mac and cheese balls were falling apart and came out cold. I had the tri tip and chicken with broccoli and asparagus. The tri tip was delicious! So was the chicken! The asparagus was absolutely disgusting. It was over cooked by ALOT! it was super skinny and straw like in texture. The broccoli was under cooked and had no flavor so i put a bit of BBQ sauce so it had some flavor. As far as the service goes we had Ronnie and he was GREAT! He took away my gross asparagus and brought me more broccoli. He also made some suggestions for dessert. We had the salted caramel pazookie.... It was DELICIOUS!!! It is unlikely that we will return for dinner but maybe for the pazookie again!"

"What an amazing experience, this was our first time at a BJ's. The menu is huge and has something for everyone, the beer is delicious. Quick food service as well. The best part was our server Irme, she knew all there was to know about the menu. She wasfriendly and quick with every request we had. Can't say enough great things about our server, and the lunch we enjoyed so much.Can't wait to go back!! ????"

"I've given Ricky's Cafe several tries, but I keep leaving disappointed. Sometimes the place is empty and I get no service; other times the service is decent, but the food is awful. The prices are way too high—$6 for just three flat pancakes, and my potatoes and eggs barely filled half the plate. I requested cheese, but it wasn’t even melted. This will be my last visit. I’d much rather go to IHOP or Nevada Diner on Queens Blvd, both of which are excellent. The waitress was kind and did try to make up for it by bringing more potatoes, which I appreciated, but I still won’t be coming back. The toast was extremely dry, and I never received a coffee refill. Overall, a big letdown."

"Due to mobility issues for one of my parents, we had to get takeout instead of dining in. It was my mom's birthday and she really wanted to have some good seafood so we placed our orders online. Not only was a 15% service charge automatically added to our bill, it didn't come with any utensils and we had to go inside the restaurant to pick up our order even though we notified them online that we were parked right outside. Food was mediocre and our favorite was probably the New England clam chowder. Other than that, it wasn't anything special except for the extra 15% charge for nothing. Probably will be my last time ordering from them."

"I truly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The 12-inch pizza had a crust that was simply delicious, and you could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Just a heads up—there's no soda on tap, so don't count on free refills. However, they do have some of the best bottled root beer I've ever tasted. I highly recommend trying it! I went for the regular pizza with mushrooms, while my wife chose the margherita, and I recommend both. The atmosphere is nice and calm, perfectly capturing the essence of Brooklyn, with a lovely brick interior."

"There was 4 people in our party we all ordered from the prix fixe menu. 3 of the 4 first course came out at least 10 minutes before the last one. Then 3 out of the 4 main course came out at least 15 minutes before the 4th one. The steaks were not cooked as requested and the shrimp pasta was bland. When the check came there was drinks that did not belong to us on it. My husband was excited about coming to Houlihans in stl after he had visited one for the first time while on a business trip in Ny. This was a very disappointing first impression."

"We were taking my sister and bro-in-law for their 40th anniversary. We chose rare because we have had good experiences. But not last night. Do not let them put you in the library! It was so dark we could barely see each other and even though we asked our server to fix it and she tried twice management obviously didn’t agree. We had a bottle of wine that was over chilled and never warmed to release flavor. They never offered to decant. We were told they decreased the wine storage and it has been a problem since. So unless you like cab sav cold do not order a bottle. In full transparency when I said the wine never warmed up (the sommelier never came back to inquire even though he knew I was concerned) they comped the wine. The wrong steak was sliced and yes it could have been sent back but by then the rest of us would nearly be finished. So it was not the night we expected. The service was good. I do know any place can have an off night but there was a lot “off” last night."

"I made an evening reservation for my wife and I at Mason Jar Kitchen for Valentine 's Day. Previous to this my only experience at the restaurant was a business lunch in the first few months after they opened (almost 6 years ago! . Our reservation was for 7:15pm. We arrived at 7:16pm and were met with a very busy restaurant, which is expected given the holiday. We were immediately invited to step up to the host station and they checked us in. While we waited my wife and I looked at the cupcakes and other tasty looking treats at the bakery, Cupcake , which shares the location with the restaurant. We were seated within 15 minutes. Not too shabby for Valentine 's night. Once at our table our server greeted us with menus, waters, and informed us of the night 's special: A four course Valentine 's Dinner where you choose a shared appetizer, your preferred salads, entrees, and shared dessert for a reasonable price. Optionally including a paired glass of wine per course, which was also tailored to the individual salad and entrees each person selected, for an even more reasonable price. Once we made our selections the server went off to the incredibly busy kitchen. We only knew this because my wife went to use the rest room before the appetizer arrived and walked past the kitchen. She shared that it was very energetic but positive. With this perspective we began to observe the rest of the staff and realized all of the staff were putting forth a huge effort to deliver food to patrons on time and keep the vibe very positive and light. Their efforts were very well received and it made the night. The meal service was fantastic. When we were finishing one course, the next was arriving. No waiting and wanting. The food itself was amazingly on point and delicious. The creme brulee dessert, along with its wine pairing, was a knock out. We definitely recommend the creme brulee! Thank you to the staff of Mason Jar Kitchen, especially those on staff that night. You made it happen! <3"

"Nasty conditions basically ruined my visit. My family 's been coming here for years. We typically enjoy the food, and today was no exception. The food itself was delicious! My mother and I noticed what appeared to be dried egg yolk (or something of similar consistency) on the table where she sat. Ok. Kind of gross, but not worth bringing to the server 's attention or worrying much over. We sat for a long time, visiting with our party. And more than one server checked on us multiple times, to see if we needed refills (even after they cleared our empty plates and gave us the check). So service was good too! But I decided to visit the restroom before leaving, and my stomach turned! As I rounded the corner to the restrooms, I was met by an awful stench that was more garbage than potty. Someone was already in the first stall, so I went to the second one. Yikes! The seat was askew, there were smears of what otherwise looked like feces on it with pieces hanging from the underside. I 'm telling you, I haven 't been that grossed out in a public restroom in a very long time. There is no excuse for it! The overall sense in there was out of sight, out of mind . Just awful. And I thought about notifying our server, but there 's no way the employees don 't already know (and she was so helpful during our meal, I didn 't want to ruin her day). This is what it comes down to now for me and my decision to ever come back. If they totally disregard and neglect the cleanliness of the restroom, how do I know they take better care of their kitchen and areas where food is prepped, cooked, and handled? Our food tasted pretty great! But I was so disgusted by the restroom, I felt kind of nauseated, nearly ruining our visit. And now I 'm not sure I can trust the quality of care around the food, either. Will have to seriously consider whether we ever go back or not. Disappointing, to say the least."

"Big fans of BJ's but this was just too many little mistakes that add up to this poor review. All instructions were on my receipt and they didn't follow any of them or even check the bag to ensure nothing was missed. Tomatoes on the mini pizza, requested none. No extra garlic knot, which I paid for. No coleslaw with the sandwich. No extra sauce for the ribs which was too bad since the meat was dry. No Oreo cream with the pizookie. Obviously nothing awful but enough missing items on such a small order seemed nothing but a lack of care and attention to the product leaving the kitchen. My family has been sick so to be respectful we are staying home otherwise we would've just gone in. Our first time using the delivery from this location. I gave a proper 20% tip and our bill with tip came out to over $100 for 3 people. I had too much confidence considering the Montebello location is always a great experience. Guess we will have to take the drive up there from now on even though this is our neighborhood location."

"Thank you to our server Chris who made our experience memorable. He was the highlight of the evening aside from the great food. I bought a large pizza for myself and was so surprised that I could do 1/2 a certain style and the other 1/2 another. I could only eat half and the other half made an excellent meal the next day. My wife got the trio tip with chicken and steak and both were delicious and tender. The calamari had a little more fishy flavor at times than my taste but overall was good enough that we ordered two. I’m not a drinker but I wasn’t driving and had the Tito’s Strawberry Lemonade drink which was savory."

"I called to resolve the issue, but they told me, "It’s a Grubhub order; there’s nothing I can do." I don’t understand how that makes sense – how do they handle Grubhub orders if they can't address mistakes? I have the order details right in front of me, and they had to have access to my order to prepare it, so it’s incredibly frustrating to hear that they can't help me just because it’s a Grubhub order. This experience has been extremely disappointing."
