"The restaurant has a very dedicated great staff. We were there on NYEve so it was unusually noisy filled with kids. Not the restaurant 's fault (and they did the best they could but there was a table with maybe 12 adults and they sat there kids (about 12 ages 3-15? at the table next to us. The kids didn 't eat, or sit but ran around like crazy while the adults didn 't supervise and and their meal. I felt bad for the restaurant who clearly had to 'accommodate ' this unruly crowd and even though there was a lot of people waiting for a hibachi table, the 'adult 's at the 'adult ' table didn 't care. In any case, once that group left, the noise and chaos subsided and we had a wonderful fun time. For the record there were several kids at our table who were well behaved. This large group was just awful. Maybe the restaurant should insist kids sit w/ their parents next time? The food was yummy and chefs a lot of fun. We will go back but will reconsider the NYEve visit. Or maybe go later than 9pm to avoid these large child-filled groups."

"My new fave spot for sashimi! Was craving for sashimi one night and found this place. At first I was a bit wary cause of some reviews but decided to just go for it. Got the sashimi deluxe, the salmon sashimi set (15 pcs), and some pieces a la carte. They were absolutely fresh! Thick cuts, and at the perfect temperature too. Haven't tried any of the other menu items though, but this place will def be my go to for sashimi."

"Honestly this is my fav little place to get sushi! The rolls are big, the portions are big, the taste is always fresh and the staff knows us by heart now. Anyone who pays attention that well and knows our order every time deserves praise. Love the staff here. We order the Ocean Roll 2x a week and it’s always amazing and very fresh. I’ve had the Jumbo Shrimp roll and that was very good as well. They have no issue modifying any roll if needed as I don’t eat certain things so it’s a big plus! Their menu is also huge, and their Chinese section is also very good. We have had the honey garlic chicken and sweet and sour chicken and both were wonderful and the tempura batter is very nice. We’ve also had the veggie low main and that was tasty and a big portion. They are not afraid to pack your meal with food here! Highly Recommend Sushi and Chinese food place."

"Crab egg rolls are my favorite, service really depends on who is working and the sticky rice doesn't hold very well (shown in the photo attached) the last couple of times I've been here. "I made reservations for 9 pm didn’t get attended till 9:35 pm that was only to place my order for my drinks. By 10:00 pm we placed our food order the chef didn’t start cooking till 10:20 pm. Chefs were friendly and nice the waitress was very confused. It was one waitress for 20 people 3 different parties. Food was good but I will never be coming back service was awful. The only reason why I’m putting two stars is because the chef was amazing. The owner also favorited the party across from us and gave them free drinks as well as desserts and we were all seated at the same time. It was very short staffed and we were the last party since the restaurant closes at 11:00 pm. Hope this review helps I should’ve payed attention to the other reviews."

"I was quite surprised at how busy this place was on a Thursday night around 8pm. It was literally 100 degrees outside and we walked in thinking we could easily cool off inside, but unfortunately the inside was still pretty warm. Their AC was probably working as hard as it could, but with all of the bodies in there, plus the insane heat outside, I don 't think it could keep up. Our server(s? did an amazing job of refilling our water glasses which really helped us out a lot over our course of our meal most definitely. Onto the food: we ordered 4 different rolls, from the regular to the signature maki as well as a beef tataki. We also ordered a cocktail each. The beef tataki was a perfect cold appetizer that we both really enjoyed to start off. I 'm not personally sure if I 've ever had that specifically before anywhere so I can 't really say how authentic or if the quality of it is on par with what it normally should, but we really really liked it! Onto the rolls I 'm kind of indifferent on them. I think they were all decent, but that 's as far as I would go. I 'd say the Dynamite was the best one out of all the ones we ordered. I don 't think I 'd go out of my way to come back to this place based on the taste and quality of the sushi, but if I 'm in the area, I think it 's solid. It 's just not the *best* sushi I 've ever had. I 'd definitely want to try other things such as Udon for example!"

"The service was average and the decor was very nice...but the quality of food was a bit subpar. We had the golden chicken ramen with an extra side of pork belly along with the teriyaki salmon. The ramen was like chicken noodle soup with a thin broth. The egg was overcooked and...the side of pork belly was also overcooked. My Gordon Ramsey senses tell me that for something to be that hot yet that dry, with a rubbery texture where the outside perimeter is darker from uneven cooking..it was thrown in the microwave. (Think of when you cook leftover steak in the microwave for too long. Aside from that, the plate it was served on was just as hot as the side of pork belly that was sitting on it so they were obviously both in the microwave. Anyway, probably one of the top worst ramen bowls that I have had. The salmon teriyaki was good, but not enough for me to forget the disappointment of the ramen. Won't be trying this place again."

"I was craving noodles today, so I decided to order some vegetable mei fun. I placed my order online for a pickup at 11:45. When I arrived, I parked in the plaza lot and headed inside, where I was greeted warmly. I told the woman my name, but she mistakenly said I had ordered vegetable lo mein, which was incorrect. She quickly corrected the mistake and returned with my actual order within just a couple of minutes, which was impressive. After thanking her, I headed home to eat. The meal was delicious and quite filling. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and the food."

"My family and I order delivery and although we order super late the restaurant did call me to inform me that being the time it was and how far that they weren’t going to deliver, but there was a server who over heard the manager over the phone tell me that they wouldn’t be able to place my order and that SERVER OFFERED TO BRING ME MY ORDER and with that I couldn’t say this enough. This place is amazing. I’m so grateful of the server who delivered my food to my house that night because my 2 year old son was extremely happy to have his rice and Fried Gyoza. Not only the food was absolutely delicious, it truly hit that Chinese spot that I was wanting and like I said the service I received from here will definitely keep me and my family coming back (delivery, take out or dine in). Thank you all again and for the other customers out there reading this DO IT, eat here you will not regret it because the food is phenomenal and the service is just as phenomenal. Keep it up "

"This restaurant had so many good reviews but now it was very poor. Kumo is located in a small shopping center in Eastchester. The room is nice and staffed well. The staff is predominantly Chinese but they have an attitude! The menu lists California Uni at 10$ on one side and California Sea Urchin Uni 8$ on the other side. They offer live Uni but then told me they don’t have any. They also list new dishes that they don’t have! Like lobster and fluke! So the order comes to the table and they couldn’t even get it right! The Spider role is puny and ice cold, the sashimi is not exceptional but the Cali Uni was delicious. I think they need to review their own quality since they could get my simple order correct! Chinese don’t know how to do Japanese because they don’t put the care I to their product!"
