"Nice little bistro. Ever since Blue Fish closed, we were on the lookout for great sashimi and sushi in the woodlands.We happened upon this place this weekend.Sashimi is my bellwether to a good sushi restaurant. The fish quality in sashimi speaks for itself with no sauces and other fillings to embellish it. The salmon sashimi here was excellent as good as Blue Fish.The “sexy lady roll” with tuna, yellowtail, spicy tuna and other stuff was excellent too. The lobster roll was ok. A constructive criticism, the tempura batter was a bit too thick and when fried was a bit too overpowering compared to other places.My rating is based on the sashimi.Other pluses are that the prices are great for the quality of fish, service was decent too.Recommended."

"Year after year I travel to Mac 's in Ptown for dinner. I always ask my server what I should get out of my top 3 pics...it 's extremely difficult because I want everything on the menu! No matter what I served it 's always amazing! The service is excellent, our server was extremely attentive, checking in frequently, but never bothering us during a bite! The seafood is right out of the ocean fresh...you can taste the sea. The flavor profile of each dish is sublime. I can 't wait to visit again! Kid-friendliness: children 's menu available. "I personally found many of the dishes too spicy, but that's just because I have a low tolerance for spice. However, everyone else in my family absolutely loved the food! My favorite dish was the Hong Kong Style Tofu, but everything we ordered was delicious. The dry pot of cabbage and Kung Pao Tofu were both big hits. We also enjoyed the vegetable dumplings, even though we were in a hurry. Although they weren't outstanding, they definitely satisfied our craving."

"First, the food was picked up so it was fresh and tasty overall. It was my first time eating at Red Ginger, so I was a bit taken aback by the restaurant itself, as it could use a bit of updating and a fresh coat of paint. But, looking past that and acknowledging that it appeared clean...I ordered the following. Chicken with black bean sauce extra spicy, Crispy Pan Noodles with Chicken and veg, 2 regular egg rolls, wonton soup and hot and sour soup. The customer service was excellent and as I said the food was delicious overall. Now, the big question, will I return? To be honest I do not know If the following things change I would...1. Add some other vegetables to the egg rolls other than cabbage and a few onions. I know that they also have a Special egg roll on the menu but would a few carrot shreds and a bit of green from cilantro cause a major cash loss? 2. Five Spice Powder is a fickle mistress. Add too much and she will overpower the dish, add to little and that authentic Asian flavor we know and love will seem lost. What is interesting about this is I asked for extra spicy and received none and at times found the 5 spice overwhelming. Thank goodness I had my own chili ️ oil at home. I appreciate the food we had last night and who knows what the future holds, but I think Red Ginger could be 5 star with just a few tweaks...they are almost there. Vegetarian options: Veggies and Tofu Parking: The restaurant is in an industrial setting, so parking is not an issue."

"This would be a good place to introduce new comers to sushi. Serving are small and reasonable prices at lunch. You are able to read and view before you pick. Unlike traditional sushi houses, if you are new you have no clue what you ordered till it arrives. This allows you to try a variety of rolls without much waste. Everything tasted fresh, the rice was not quite sticky enough and rolls fell apart easily. I will definitely visit again for lunch. It's quick, service was very good, and good value."

"Since I found this hidden treasure two weeks ago, we've eaten here five times—we can’t get enough! Whether you order takeout or dine in, the experience is top-notch. I've never had any issues with our orders, even when we place large ones. The dining area is usually quite empty, with just a person or two, but I’ve seen many people opt for takeout while dining there. They would definitely attract more customers if more people knew they existed and that the seating is spacious and comfortable. We've tried multiple sushi rolls, and all of them have been great. The steak and chicken hibachi is always cooked to perfection. The fried gyoza are delightfully crispy on the outside and packed with flavor inside. The edamame is always well-steamed, and the spring rolls are crispy on the outside without being greasy. My only complaint so far is that the sweet potatoes used in the vegetable tempura need to be cooked longer or blanched beforehand. We’ve ordered the vegetable tempura four times, and each time the sweet potatoes have been nearly inedible, as we can’t bite through them. I might ask them to substitute more of another vegetable if this issue continues. Aside from that, I have no complaints, but since sweet potatoes make up the majority of the tempura order, addressing that issue would be much appreciated. My children absolutely love the little plastic accessories that hold their chopsticks together. Thank you for providing these for those who are not familiar with using chopsticks but still want an authentic experience! On a side note, I have a shellfish allergy, and they always make a note to ensure the sushi chef avoids cross-contamination."

"Food: really disappointed about the freshness of the sashimi. The tuna was very chewy, bland, and chunky. The tuna has a lot of white connective tissue that made the piece of fish very chewy and not eatable. The white albacore was pale and dried. Too much and too uneven rice on the roll. The bare beauty roll was good but too much sauce overpowering the fish and the taste of the roll. All I tasted was the sauce.The Half and Half roll was good but the rice was too much and too unevenly in the roll.The service was ok.The place was small sushi restaurant. About 15 tables. Lighting was dimmed low."

"I was dinning in with my brother and his wife we ordered our sweet tea it was fresh but hot had very little ice so we ask for 3 cups of ice. We then placed our order. As I was eating my salad with ranch dressing I took a bite and bit onto sum thing really hard as I was spitting it out I discovered it was the big plastic piece off of the squirt bottle . The plastic bottle top cut my jaw because it was caught between my partial and gum. We called the waitress to the table she replied with I'm so sorry are you OK I replied yes as I was trying to eat my food I could not because it was burning my mouth from the spice in my food. So I got a go box for my food. I had to remove my partial from my mouth because it was hurting. The waitress brought our ticket and she apologized again we paid our 83.00 ticket and left.I got home 20 minutes later to rinse my mouth . I called back down there to speak with management thinking our waitress had made her aware of what happened and she did not. This morning I woke up with an Ulcer in my mouth I busted it and rinsed my mouth warm salty was. I called back down there to explain what was going on again only to be told I don't know what you want me to do about it...I remind you management never said I'm sorry or anything. So if you eat here plz check your food."
