"The only downside was that one of the dessert cakes I ordered was a bit frozen, but the staff was very accommodating and happily took it back to warm it up, which I appreciated. I also noticed that the waitstaff serves food directly on the plate, and I’m not a fan of that style, so I requested they leave it on the table instead. This was my second visit, and I was not disappointed. Deccan Flavor is definitely a place we will return to for special occasions, even though it is slightly on the expensive side."

"I ordered delivery. The food was packaged very well, no spillage. After reading many reviews a lot mentioned that the food was a bit spicier than expected so I took the advice and ordered it medium level, glad I did because 1 level more would have probably been a bit much and I like a fare amount of spice. Everything was delicious and will definitely be ordering again in the future!"

"Food is always consistently good. Not traditional spicy so if you want it to be you must ask. We had a waiter in training no former experience and had no clue how to wait…can’t be too hard on him I guess but would recommend having him tag along with the more seasoned wait staff before letting him deal directly with diners. We waited minutes for our food which was a real downer and should never happen. It was ‘busy’ but not overly so. Kitchen must be getting used to post-Covid crowds. The hostess and owner did check on us a few times which was appreciated. We will dine here again. Hope they can get the wait staff and kitchen back to operating more efficiently."

"Delicious. Just wanted to note that they have three separate locations. It's just a preference of mine but I find the Michigan location with better tasting food. This is not to say that the other locations don't prepare the food well, they most certainly do and there are no issues. On-site parking at all locations is a pain unless you're just there for delivery pick-up. Prepare to take public transportation if you want the dine in experience. This place is really pricey for my taste but for a craving once in a while it's worth it. If you order from their website they sometimes offer discounts just for it being an online order. Uber eats offers a thing where if you order a number of times your last order will be free, which is also nice. Highly recommend it if you are new to Indian and Nepalese cuisine."

"My experience with Indian food is limited, but I was excited when invited to dine at Beenz Indian Grill And. The friendly staff informed me that the restaurant specializes in traditional Indian cuisine, with some Indo-Chinese dishes as well. We began with chicken lollipops and Manchurian cauliflower fritters—both were outstanding and full of flavor. For the main course, we enjoyed a mixed grill, Tikki chicken masala, and Saag Paneer. To complement the meal, I tried their house special cocktail made with Malibu rum, which paired perfectly with the bold flavors and gave me a tropical, Caribbean island vibe. Whether you’re an Indian food expert or a beginner like me, this is the place to go for Indian cuisine in Suffolk County!"

It wasn't even busy at the time; they were going to close in about an hour when I placed my order. It seemed like they only started preparing my food when I arrived. Next time, I think I'll call ahead before going to the restaurant for a pickup, regardless of the scheduled time."

Tables against walls on right as you enter are four person tables with high cushions, whereas on left side they were two person tables with high back bench cushioned bench seats facing out with regular wood chairs on outer part of table. Prices are decent compared to other nearby Indian restaurants. Not ADA accessible. Street parking only. Progressive Indian music over speakers. Only three staff and kitchen staff present. Service is laid back but when they are slow it is good. It appears a place for local Indian community rather than tourists. Maybe during work hours it changes. I was here at 6PM on a Wednesday 2023 and there were plenty of tables available with no wait. Flickering mining lanterns for ambience. Clean location. Bar in back of this narrow location. "Delicious, fresh, with impressive variety of styles and flavors! Best dosa I've had since I lived in California and there was a restaurant chain that specialized in them... this is a good place to try this dish if you've never had one before. I must add GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS gluten free options Gluten Free Options to help other Yelpers looking for a restaurant experience that won't sacrifice taste or authenticity for having GF options. My only disappointment, ironically, was the GF naan and only because I ordered the garlic version, and I guess that the way it is prepared, the pieces of garlic cloves are burned in the process (if you like that overpowering burned-garlic taste go for it! . I may have been expecting a garlic butter instead based on other restaurant experiences, so my bad. Next time either plain GF naan or none at all, and I'll be saving room for a dosa! And a FULL BAR with cocktails that use a South Asian spin on the classics. Such a find and easier/faster to get to from NNJ and other parts of Rockland than you might think, plus easy strip-mall parking!"

"Worst experience ever! My husband and I had a reservation for Valentines Day. We were sat promptly and our order was taken. It took very little time to get our drinks but then the trouble started. While sitting at our table eating the app, a server began to bring all the extra chairs and high chairs over and pushed them up against my side of the table and my chair.At one point I moved them back near the stairway and she came back and pushed them within an inch of our table. Within a couple of minutes, the same server placed a bucket with a trash bag and a big bussing pans with dirty dishes on the floor next to us. At first I thought they were moving stuff around and we thought it would be a very quick, gross, but temporary staging. I was wrong! Instead of picking the items up and taking them downstairs, she brought a big cart over with LOTS of dirty dishes and proceeded to start scraping the food into the bucket next to our table and placing the dishes into the pans. At this point my husband and I could not believe this was actually taking place. I then told her that this was unacceptable to be doing next to people dining and made her seat us at a new table. After 45 minutes, no one had checked on us, brought us refills, new silverware, napkins or our dinner. We then complained to a server about not getting our food and she went and told someone. 20 minutes later someone came upstairs and asked us for our order again. We placed the order again, no refills, silverware or napkins. 20 mins later still no food. We had now been there for 90 minutes. We got up to leave and as we head downstairs, the waiter was at the bar with our food talking to servers. He saw us and grabbed the tray and started up. We told him we were not paying for the dinner. He didn’t bring us silverware or napkins. We finally got silverware a few minutes later. No one ever came back. Many people were leaving due to poor service. We weren’t the only ones! Never go here!"

"Recent October 2021 visit, made a special trip coming through Nashville to stop here... Waited well over 10 minutes after being seated and no service, only 2 other tables were occupied in the whole restaurant so we left and I have to bring down the star rating I first gave them.... Looked this place up and the reviews and ratings looked good... Very authentic Indian food it is!!! Very nice staff and everything comes out very quick and hot... Our kids got the chicken rice and they loved it, we ordered salmon and a multiple of lamb dishes and everything was great, be careful when ordering the hotness of a fish as even the 7.5 will sure get you sweating ?"

"Not sure what Chicken tikka masala everyone else orders but there is no way it is a 5 star dish.Sauce is no creamy, the Chicken is just terrible. Overcooked and we even got a join in our piece. Plus all of the pieces are rubbery and hard which means the meat is just disgusting.I struggle to even give it one star, so gross and i was not wanting to pay for such terrible food.Bombay house at Jordan landing is much better and actually tastes amazing.Never and I repeat never come here. Old and ran down building and the food is so gross."

"Honestly the worst customer service and experience I have EVER had. Placed an online order at 6:30PM for delivery to be scheduled at 7:15PM. Placed delivery instructions to call me upon arrival. An hour past the delivery time (8:15PM) I call to check on where my order is they said it'll be there soon, he just left with my food. 8:45PM rolls around and I still don't have my food, so I call again. The manager tells me that he will be there in ten minutes, but also during the call, the delivery guy comes back to the place with my food. I confirmed with two people, and checked my emailed receipt that my phone number was in fact correct. When I go to ask how they can make this situation better now that I am 1 hour and thirty minutes past my delivery time, and the food is likely cold.. I got yelled at by someone on staff and they told me they were going to refund my order and not deliver my food. One would think that with the restaurant at fault and my food being so late that they would try to make this work.. but nothing was done. The manager eventually told me the food was coming, with no refund. The food.... honestly nothing special. As expected, it was cold and everything had to be reheated. I got the chicken tikka masala and I thought it was pretty subpar compared to other Indian places I have had. Looking for my new ATL Indian spot, and unfortunately I just don't think this is it."

"We were looking forward to a Christmas day meal and were excited this restaurant was open and had reservations. After booking our table for 2:45, I received an email on Christmas Eve telling us their kitchen closes at 2:45, and asking us to come early. That was odd, but I coordinated with my party to arrive at 2:15. Odd that I was able to book a reservation at the time the kitchen closed but ok, we could accommodate. In the midst of Christmas Eve and Christmas day activities, I forgot to respond to the message. I received a phone call on Christmas morning asking if I was going to honor my reservation, and I said yes, and that we were planning on coming at 2:15 if they still wanted us to arrive early and they confirmed that would work. We arrived at 2:10, and there were lots of empty tables, but the host said our table wasn't ready. We pointed to a booth (we had 3 children in the party and he said that it was dirty (there was a lot of spilled rice on the floor, but the table was set with silverware, etc. . We said we didn't care, but he said that he was waiting for a two top to leave so he could push their table next to an open four top. We said we'd wait for them to clean, but he looked so uncomfortable that we said we'd take the toddlers out for a walk to kill time until 2:15. We came back at 2:15 and the two top still hadn't left, the rice underneath the booth still hadn't been swept up... The host said he'd squeeze us into a five top that was right next to a booth and a Christmas tree, and we declined. We said we'd wait for the booth. Two staff members came over to sweep the floor, and in the meantime the party in a different large booth opened up and they cleared that table and sat us there. The half swept rice was left underneath the first booth for at least half of our meal. On top of all this, the food was lackluster nothing special but the prices were high and the service was haphazard. Needless to say, we will not be returning."
