"Been going to the restaurant since 2008 and loved it. Things have gone downhill since the new owner, but we still go because the service and food is good. Always take family here when they are in town, but not sure if we will anymore. This past experience was not good. We had a reservation for 8, but they couldn’t seat us together and had to split up. You could tell the waitress was not happy when she found out she had to service another table not in her area since they split us. To get refills on drinks we had to go to the bar to get them or we had to try and get our waitress’ attention because she never checked in. I realize the place was busy, but a lot of places are and still have good service. Even when I went to the bar to get a refill the bartender was not happy about me asking and seemed like I put her out. It was all you can eat crab night and the place didn’t have enough crackers for the customers so you had to use your hands. The crab that normally comes ou warm was cold so was sitting. When we asked for more crab we waited over 20 minutes even though other tables were receiving their second helping of crab after we requested ours. Just a few other items… instead of telling us they had one ranch dressing left they divided that ranch to make two servings but it was a few drops for each salad. Just tell us you are out so we can get another dressing. Out of other items too which is odd when it is an all you can eat night. Stock up and stop being cheap. Ranch, bbq sauce and crackers have a long shelf life. Last, they now charge a credit card service charge. They never did before and should disclose that in advance."

"So I and some of my colleagues were in the city for training in our home. we had heard that West Hartford was a nice place to visit, so we walked around for a past to see the sights before we became hungry. unsafe where we should go, we asked a nicely dressed gentleman on the corner where he recommended and he said "the blue elephant". we came to pm and the sign said that they were close yet, there were a few people enjoying at the bar and the personal encouraged us to come and enjoy a meal. for appetizers we got edamame, huhn Satay-Skewers and some sampler plates. everything was delicious. they also had a decent beer selection, so I enjoyed a local craft brew (amusely title naughty nurse then came our meal times, all of us enjoyed our meal times, the pad thai, curry, and my mango friend rice. the Mango french had in it pieces of fresh mango and the whole was served in half ananas that had been boiled a bit. Oh, my word, it was so good. at several locations the workers came out to fill our waters and ask how we liked to eat. we apologised to keep them after graduation times, but they told us not to worry and enjoy our meal. at the end, the owner came out and talked to us for a past, told us a little about his history and history, how West Hartford developed. he said that our late had no problems at all and that he was glad that we enjoyed eating. I can't say enough good things about this place. the eating was amazing, the personal was very friendly and attentive, all made a beautiful night in an absolutely magical."
