"Being from the western United States, I didn't grow up with Steak n' Shake and didn't know what to expect when I first encountered it. My mother agrees with me that the name evokes something weird like a steak-flavored milkshake. Nevertheless, if you're new like me then be assured that it's actually quite a good fast-food chain. I would liken it to McDonalds in many positive ways. It provides consistent, reliable, and delicious food. It's standard American fare?burgers, fries, hot dogs, fried chicken?nothing strange. Also, like McDonalds it typically has very reasonable prices and a clean, friendly atmosphere. This location in particular has great customer service with friendly and kind voices and faces. I would add, however, that I feel that the meat is higher quality than McDonald's. So if you like McDonalds but need a change, or you just want a good, fast burger, Steak n' Shake is a great choice. Note that they also tend to send out coupons, but in my experience they're usually only about $1 off. Using the app is a good idea too because you can scan your receipt to earn points toward $5 credit."
