"This is my favorite restaurant in Raleigh. While I usually prefer higher-end places like Cowfish in North Hills or Midtown, the staff and service at this restaurant have consistently impressed me. I typically rate places 3 to 4 stars, but the welcoming attitude of multiple staff members who come to greet you makes it hard to give less than 5 stars. The food is absolutely fantastic—without a doubt, the best Mexican restaurant around. In fact, they could raise their prices by $2 on menu items because I'm definitely getting more than my money's worth! "This evening me and my family came in to eat, it took a little for our waitress to come to us but it happens so it was no big deal and she seemed super friendly. Our food came out and it wasn?t exactly what we asked for, our waitress gave me the dirtiestlook when I politely let her know the issue and she seemed to not understand what we were saying and kept giving us an attitudeand even tried arguing with me. We didnt eat anything , we then told them we were leaving and got up and left. I work in arestaurant so i am very understanding of these things but this was such a bad experience and the girl who served us shoulddefinitely rethink the way she wants to communicate with her guests. We wont be back to this particular restaurant."

"Stopped by for a last minute dinner since no one knew what to eat plus just being overall tired and hot to make dinnerPicked up a grilled chicken caesar salad for my husband, a turkey and cheese hoagie for myself and a Philly cheesesteak for my stepson. The woman at the register was very nice and it was just her and a young man behind the counter. The establishment was clean (no one else was there when we went a little after 7 pm and stocked with chips and beverages. This was our first time and took some time to look at the menu and decide. The woman behind the counter must have noticed and offered to help. My husband said he really enjoyed the chicken caesar salad; as for my turkey and cheese sandwich: not sure if it’s an option but for personal preference, I found the turkey to be too thick sliced and next time, I would ask if it can be thinly sliced..and also I would ask for a little more lettuce and tomato (again, just personal preference! My step son said his cheese steak was good (No pic he ate it way later on that night coming home from work The staff was super nice which made the experience great..I would try other items for next time but we did find it a bit on the pricier side."

"This is a fantastic little lunch spot! I really appreciate a hot dog restaurant that prioritizes quality over cheapness. While the prices are higher than typical hot dog places, they are absolutely worth it. I tried the classic junkyard dog, and it was excellent. My kids enjoyed their meals as well; my daughter had a cheeseburger and absolutely loved it. Everything is made to order, and both the restaurant and the bathrooms were clean. The staff were wonderful—friendly and quick. I would definitely recommend this place!"

"The restaurant was clean and our waitress was quick and efficient. I ordered birria tacos while my husband opted for a burrito, his first time trying it. The burrito was excellent and full of flavor. However, I cannot recommend the birria tacos as they lacked any taste and were quite awful. Despite this, I still ate them. Unfortunately, they fell apart easily and were overall disgusting. Even the consume' and green sauce did not help improve the flavor. While I usually enjoy Cancun food, I will definitely not be ordering the birria tacos again."

"So I had a taste for some good BBQ, and boy did I find a jewel within this place!! Nice establishment, with a very ambient atmosphere. Excellent service, and great ownership/leadership. I ordered the 3 meat combo plate, with smoked brisket, ribs, and venison sausage, with collard greens, cornbread, and dirty rice. My wait time to be served after placing my order was about 7 to 8 minutes, which was quick. When I got my plate and sank my teeth into those ribs, THEY WERE FALL OFF THE BONE GRRRREAT!! When the bone comes out of a rib with no meat stuck to it, YOU GOT PERFECTION!! The brisket was moist, not dry at all, and very tender. The venison sausage had great flavor, and still holding juice. The greens were tender and well seasoned, as was the dirty rice. If you come to Houston, GUARANTEED YOU GOTTA COME HERE FOR THE BEST BBQ IN TOWN!! HANDS DOWN!! The food was so good, I had to give praises to Mama Gatlin herself, and tell her what a wonderful job they have done with this establishment."

"My favorite neighborhood Mexican food joint in Vancouver. Their margaritas taste excellent. Their salsa has personality. I like the carnitas burrito better than the macho. I'm also fond of the Chile Colorado and steak fajitas. The largest selection of base spirits for a Mexican restaurant. A decent selection of mixers and liqueurs. Los Potrillos has a fabulous staff. They treat you really well. Especially if you sit at the bar. PRO Tip: Their Happy Hour is the best in Vancouver. A medium Cadillac margarita is only $9! When we were having trouble deciding on a drink, our server suggested their specialty "agua fresca" with flavors like pineapple, horchata, and mango. They were absolutely delicious. "I had heard of this place from a friend and decided I should test it out. From the SECOND that you walk in, you are transported into somewhere else entirely! It was truly an experience, the interior was decorated almost like a colonial setting(? It was not what I was expecting in the best way possible!We were immediately greeted and seated by an employee, ordered, waited around 30 minutes and were SHOCKED by the food portions! I knew that the food was costly, and unknowingly ordered a lot, but I loved every bite, it is definitely worth the price. I don’t know what I was expecting but this certainly surprised me in a wonderful way!I would recommend going here for a nice outing however, be warned it is a little pricey, you have to pay 20% (if I remember correctly if you have a party of 5 or more, otherwise, truly great! The Fajitas with chicken and shrimp, grilled with bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Garnished with sour cream salad, pico de gallo and cheese. Served with rice, beans and tortillas. "Usually, this restaurant is a great place to visit. However, our experience this past Sunday was quite odd. The waiter, who seemed to be the manager, appeared to be upset and was impatient when taking our orders. He even slammed the menus down on the table. It was a strange experience. "I never even got to try the food. The teenage waiter brought me stale chips with salsa and I ended up waiting forever for my dining companion to bring our water. When I asked if the chips were homemade, he said they were. I requested some fresh chips so I could compare them and see if there was a difference, but he told me he couldn't do that. I insisted that he could, pointing out that if I ordered more chips later, they would be complimentary anyway—so what was the difference? He still said no. Frustrated, I decided to leave. I'm the customer here, and if I'm not satisfied, I'm walking out."

"My husband and I went there yesterday and for the first time. We finally found a Mexican restaurant that was relatively close to authentic Mexican food. The decor was very authentic, and although we were there during Tuesday lunch the atmosphere was still very inviting. I tried the five street tacos filled with lamb and onion and smothered in cilantro they were very delicious, my husband had a trio which included a taco and two chicken burritos and then a poblano pepper smothered with sauce and cheese. The server was very friendly and even though he spoke in broken English he was still very knowledgeable and very helpful and very accommodating. This place is quite out of the way for us, but I would definitely entertain going back again and recommend this to anybody that's either trying Mexican fare for the first time or looking for a new place to eat. Azaheal (pronounced Aza hal). was our server and he was delightful. We will be back."
