"I want to start by noting that I ordered my food to go. I don't care what restaurant it is, if you order your food to go it is not nearly as good. That being said, the food was subpar. "Many entitled individuals seem to be posting negative reviews, but it’s no surprise that Beaverton has its fair share of people who think they're superior and will criticize others for trivial reasons. Don't pay attention to them; they're just being unreasonable. The food here is quite decent, reasonably priced, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The negative reviews come from people with unrealistic expectations who want gourmet food at fast food prices. In truth, this place offers solid fast food that’s healthier than typical greasy burger joints."

"Absolutely fantastic! This is my second time ordering from this place, and I couldn’t be happier. The hummus is excellent! The pita sandwiches are tightly rolled, making them easy to eat without creating a mess. The baklava is among my favorites. They also have an extensive menu with plenty of options. "The Athena is a Mansfield tradition! It's a Mom and Pop diner specializing in Greek food. Although not owned by the original family, the recipes and service are still uniformly excellent. I ordered the Super Gyro pictured below. It's a generous portion, quickly prepared. It was $7.69 for the gyro a quick, cheap, filling and not horrible for you lunch. If you're feeling the need for a sugar buzz, the home made baklava is the cure for your sweet tooth. I HIGHLY recommend Athena Greek Restaurant if you're ever around downtown Mansfield. Keep up the good work!"

"I went here for the first time today. OMG… DELICIOUS and huge portions!!! It’s hard to tell from this photo but there is three times the amount of meat here than you typically get in a Gyro sandwich!!! I ate half the order of french fries on the way home from the restaurant! The fries were perfectly cooked; golden brown, crispy, and perfectly salted. DANIEL is a master french fry chef! This will be a regular destination. Update Feb. 9th. I have been there 4 times, now. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious, with very generous portions! Daniel’s french fries are the best I’ve EVER eaten! Julie was working at the front today and was so polite and attentive to the customers."

"Wonderful service and food. I got a gyro and my boyfriend ordered two pitas (beef and a beef and potato). Everything was excellent. The pitas were large so we took one to go and ate it later. Small menu, but that's okay because what they do offer they do it well. Wasn't sure what to expect when we randomly stopped in, but so glad we did. Can't wait to tell my friends about this place!"

"I visited the restaurant for an interview with the new owner after he renovated the place and revitalized it. I spoke with some customers from the neighborhood, and they all expressed their satisfaction with the new ownership and their positive experiences at the store. From my perspective, they have an excellent hot food section with great prices. I tried their cheeseburger with fries, and it was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had. There was something special about the bun that gave it a delicious flavor. I will definitely be returning for more food!"

"i've never eaten at a place quite like this. this is the most amazing southern style restaurant i've ever been to. first, the food is best of it's kind- we had the catfish, chicken fried steak, and fried chicken. it was the best of each of these ever. the portions were generous. the sides were perfect and bottomless. the service couldn't have been better. super attentive and pleasant server."
