"We had a great lunch at Wa Jeal. Starting with spring onion pancakes (delicious) and ending with chicken and broccoli (again delicious), the lunch menu (rice, main course and soup) was very cheap and delicious. The environment is wonderful - brick walls and pretty decorations and the service excellent. Highly recommended!!"

"The food (duck! and service were outstanding. However, due to the shape of the room and all of the hard surfaces, it's incredibly loud and hard to hear anything at the table (and my hearing is solid . Also, the hard, wooden chairs were uncomfortable for a longer dining experience. Maybe I just sat at a bad table for noise and comfort, but I wouldn't go back with so many other great eating places in SF."

"I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. While I completely understand that some guests prefer a quiet dining atmosphere and may not appreciate the sounds of a baby or toddler, the staff should have informed us right away that this establishment isn't kid-friendly. Aside from the waitress who was genuinely trying to ensure we had a good time, the rest of the staff, especially the hostess, were quite rude. At one point, a staff member approached our table and said, "We may have to take your baby if he continues to make noise, as people are complaining." I would have understood that and would likely have taken my kids outside to avoid disturbing others, but there are much more courteous ways to communicate that. Additionally, the duck I ordered was quite disappointing."

"Entirely disappointed in this dining experience. Our Valentines Day Reservation was for and right off the bat, we waited or minutes for a server to come by before going back to alert the hostess. He arrived shortly afterward and redeemed himself by being quite helpful despite the negative first impression. My first course smoked portabello appetizer was so tiny that my husband and I laughed about it.... literally what appeared to be of a very small portabello (so, a chunk) with some scattered watercress greens and a small dollop of balsamic – infused caviar. I joked to our server about the kitchen running out of portobello, and he noted that it had been a very busy night, but did not deny it. Hubby’s corn chowder app was good. Second course wedge salads were thankfully good. Then, minutes before our main course was to be served, we were informed that they ran out of the NY Strip steak (one of only three meal options, due to the prix fixe menu) and would my husband like fish or chicken. After an emphatic “No, I really wanted the steak” our server went back to the kitchen and came back to say they’d found him a tenderloin they agreed to substitute. It was good, but arrived rare instead of med-rare and needed to be sent back and cooked up. My airline chicken breast was not good — no trace of the Brie that was supposed to be inside and terribly dried out. Definitely overcooked. While the side dishes were good, they were disappointingly the highlight of my meal instead of the main course. Although we appreciated the tenderloin substitution, it was hard to justify paying per person, before drinks, for what we received on what was supposed to be a special occasion. I doubt we will return — and definitely never again on Valentines Day"

"The entire experience was uninspired. We were gruffly greeted by the wait service. I had requested outside dining which was not prepared. Our waitress was also gruff and entirely unhelpful and it took waaay too long for appetizers followed too closely by main course. The chicken and pain fried noodles was mediocre. The velveting of the chicken coating it in corn starch which is done routinely to keep the chicken tender) was way too thick and gummy. One would think that a restaurant with the kind of history from Arcadia would at least have the basics down. It’s an expensive property for them to lease but the food seems to have been forgotten."

"Our dining experience at this restaurant was not the best, despite their apologies and partial credit towards our $200 bill for two people. The first bottle of wine we received was corked, but this issue was not the restaurant's fault. The salads were good, but took a long time to be served. Unfortunately, the pork chop I ordered was raw on the inside, indicating that it had not been cooked properly. When the bill arrived, it was incorrect and had to be adjusted after the restaurant credited one of our cocktails, the pork chop, and a dessert that we did not order. However, after the adjustments were made, the bill actually came back higher. Additionally, we were charged $7.95 for each salad, even though they were supposed to be included in our meal. The waitress initially said they would only cost $2.95, but by the time we received the final bill, we were the last customers inside the restaurant and felt rushed to leave as the staff began cleaning up. Despite all of these issues, we still ended up paying over $200 and have no desire to return to this restaurant in the future."

I ate at snh quite often, this is a completely different place and I feel a real step up where its traditional menu serves, something in short supply in portland. <br/ <br/ service: friendly, very casual, limited speech and servicing, definitiw not highbrow.<br/ <br/ eat: eierblood soup is prefabricated in a large boiler, not to write home. where this place shines, is located in the top of its main dishes. <br/ hot spicy special hand grass noodles are thick, white and chewing, clear handmade and tasty. spicy, oily as someone would make home. fried rice is full of garnel, fish and tinted fish, not mumie, good quality. <br/ double delight mushroom bark- amazing, juicy mushrooms and much bark, they will not ask 'where 'the bark ' they don't chintz here, this is a rich and tasteful, but not spicy dish. this is the real deal, they better like cumin when they order this dish, its rich and heavy preparation.<br/ <br/ again if they want to hack suey, chow my, egg roll and a flower suppe, they are at the wrong place. if they want a real tase of szechuan, they go for it."

"We have been here several times before and the service and food were both excellent, but not this time. We were seated promptly and the server came over and took our drink order and dinner choices. One of our salads showed up before our drink order and we both ordered salads. Then a manager tried to bring us the wrong drink order and it was only one drink. Then we asked where our drinks were and she just walked away. Then our server brought food to the table next to us And said the other salad will be right out, well after 10 minutes the other salad finally arrived and so did our drinks. The dinner was very good though but probably will not be back . Not what I expect for over a $100.00 meal."

"Not sure why this place has such high reviews, it was bland and not good quality at all. We ordered rangoons for appetizer and they were burnt and under filled. The sesame chicken was over cooked, dry, very chewy and not good quality. The Mongolian beef and chicken were under seasoned and also not of good quality. Fried rice was decent and that’s about all that was. The severs were inattentive and never even asked us how our meal was. I paid for the meal without eating anything and the servers never asked if the meal was alright since it was untouched. Will never be back again and don’t recommend to anyone, Panda Express tastes better and is better quality if that gives anyone some reference. Waste of $50."

"I really wanted to love this place. They have a whole section of their menu dedicated to vegan options which sounded like a dream come true to me even if the food is a bit pricey. I have had vegan honey duck, vegan pad thai, vegan drunken noodles, vegan potstickers, crispy spring rolls, summer rolls, and even attended a fundraiser for a local animal sanctuary here that had a vegan buffet. The flavors of the food just off. A lot of the food I've tried was sour or just weird flavor combinations that don't work. Portions are small for the price. When I ordered the vegan drunken noodles it came out with what looked like eggs. I told the server that it was supposed to be vegan. He assured me it was so I had him ask the kitchen staff who owned up to the mistake. When I asked what verisoy was he said that my dish would come with more vegetables, I later learned it's their mock meat. After spending hundreds of dollars here hoping to find something I enjoyed I think I'm done coming here. I'm not new to eating Thai food. Had a place I frequented regularly before moving to the Treasure Valley."

"When we walked in for our reservation all of the staff acted like they wished we weren’t there, or that maybe we didn’t actually make a reservation and they were confused why we were there. While we stood and waited multiple people came up and asked us if we had a reservation and then would go tell a group staff members in the corner by the bar and they would all turn towards us looking confused. Finally someone said “Ok your table is outside” and tried to take us out, but I said I specifically made an indoor reservation. She seemed confused and we went back inside and she went and asked again. Finally she said ok well you guys can sit back here, and took us to a dark back room where it was absolutely blaring music and was the opposite of what the vibe was online. We sat and waited for almost ten minutes before flagging down one of the servers to order drinks. We had one drink and then had to flag down someone else for the check. It was all around a huge bummer and we left as soon as we could since we were excited to lounge for NYE and that just wasn’t happening. We just ended up going home."

"Reminds me of places to eat in Brooklyn (except how spacious it is) or Asheville (fewer Piercings and tattoos lol) The service was prompt (previous reviews have mentioned slower service times) and friendly A few things were not available off the menu but that's not a big deal. The price was as you'd expect at a brunch place. They have tables and booths and you have the option to sit at a bar as well. Cute skylight adds much more lights We had the grits and shrimps and the biscuits with chocolate gravy as well as the mushroom and eggs scramble and the waffle poutine The waffle poutine was really heavy and could not really finish more than one third. The biscuits were not bad but not the best I've had. The orange juice was freshly squeezed thankfully and not out of a box. I'd come back for sure."

Restaurant is now under new owner but the dishes are still very Taiwanese the se and the flavors are much better now! During COVID, many restaurant needs to raise the price to survive, but Cozy Cafe kept the same affordable pricing while the portion is still the same!Once you enter the store, you will see the refrigerator with over 30 side dishes, its hard to try them all at once... Its hard to find a Taiwanese Restaurant that sells so many kind of the side dishes. everyday in a very limited amount, if you wan to get them, make sure you call to reserve before they sold out at noon!I ordered Unagi Bento Box, Pork Chop Bento Box, Smoked Duck, Simmered Pork Shank, Fried Roll. Don't need to mention how delicious the unagi pork chop is! The side dishes that comes with the bento, minced pork vegetable is so good to go with the rice! DO NOT MISS the Smoked Duck Simmered Pork Shank, its super popular YUMYUM!!!Living in the Chinese district is really a blessing. There are many delicious Taiwanese restaurants nearby, and Da Guo Da is one of them! It has been 10 years since the last time I went to Da Guo Da. I was still a student at that time. Ten years later, Da Guo Da also changed hands to a new owner, but the taste of the table-style hometown remains the same, even better than before! During the epidemic, various restaurants have raised prices one after another, but the price of bento in a large pot is still affordable, and the dishes are rich and generous.There are nearly 30 different kinds of braised side dishes in the freezer for entry. It is not easy to try all of them overnight! It’s rare to find a store that sells such a complete range of braised side dishes. The boss said that each side dish is made fresh and limited on the day. Sometimes it’s sold out before noon in the morning. If you want to eat, you have to call early to make a reservation. Keep.This time I bought eel bento, pork ribs bento, smoked duck, pork feet, and chicken rolls. "My first visit to The Morris was a delightful experience. Although my group ordered too much food, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We shared the 1/2 duck platter, which was more than enough for two people, along with a delicious little gem salad with bacon and hazelnuts. The tomato and melon gazpacho was also fantastic. We couldn't resist trying the desserts, including a hot fudge sundae with strawberries and brittle, and almond ice cream. The Tartine bread (extra charge) was perfect, accompanied by wonderful butter. The early timing of our visit meant the noise level was low, which was ideal for us. The wine list by the glass was impressive, and although the bar had a limited selection of liquors, the staff was accommodating. We are looking forward to returning and being more mindful of how much we order next time, perhaps choosing smaller starters or a charcuterie plate with a less rich main course. It was nice to see that a lot of their service is sourced from Heath, and that they use Tartine bread from their close neighbors."

"I have heard and read a lot of good things about Klein and Harris. So, one cold January day before a Theater Calgary performance, we decided that we needed to try it out. We had made reservations and were promptly lead to our table right...opposite the open kitchen so we could see all of the cooking action. We ordered our drinks (coffee for me and a Sazerac cocktail for my wife). My first quibble was the Sazerac... the authentic version should be made with Sazerac rye, which I know is available in Calgary (for example at Willow Park Liquor Store), but this one was made with bourbon. So, good, but not authentic, and at the prices they charge, Klein could use the real stuff. I decided to have two appetizers as my meal (the grilled Humbolt squid and the diver scallops) and my wife ordered the duck breast, which was described as shredded, but came as a complete breast. The squid was excellent, perfectly cooked with some green stuff on the side, but was a very small portion with only one tentacle a bit longer than my index finger. The scallops ere very good, as well, but I thought that for scallops was a bit much. My wife's duck came pink inside and was very tough and hard to cut, a disappointment to her when she was expecting something different. I also had to ask times for a coffee refill before finally getting it. So, overall pretty good food, spotty service and a difficult choice for me between and stars, but I finally went with due to the quality of my appetizer plates."
