"Our dining experience at this restaurant was not the best, despite their apologies and partial credit towards our $200 bill for two people. The first bottle of wine we received was corked, but this issue was not the restaurant's fault. The salads were good, but took a long time to be served. Unfortunately, the pork chop I ordered was raw on the inside, indicating that it had not been cooked properly. When the bill arrived, it was incorrect and had to be adjusted after the restaurant credited one of our cocktails, the pork chop, and a dessert that we did not order. However, after the adjustments were made, the bill actually came back higher. Additionally, we were charged $7.95 for each salad, even though they were supposed to be included in our meal. The waitress initially said they would only cost $2.95, but by the time we received the final bill, we were the last customers inside the restaurant and felt rushed to leave as the staff began cleaning up. Despite all of these issues, we still ended up paying over $200 and have no desire to return to this restaurant in the future."

We have eaten at West End Grill on and off for many year's and never disappoints. Food and service was excellent as usual. Street was closed for summer so el fresco it was. Interior is very nice but the fresh air won out. Waiter was exceptional! View menu

The food and service are both very good at this restaurant. However, be sure to ask about the pricing for additional condiments, such as mayonnaise for your burger, before ordering them. Otherwise, you may be surprised by extra charges on your bill.

Great experience and service overall. The food as presented was excellent however the portion size was significantly reduced compared to our spectacular previous visits. They should have offered a complimentary desert for the price point considering the cutback in the portion size!

Been going here for 30 years. Has always been a good experience with great food. I has the orange glazed pork chop. Was the best pork chop Ive had anywhere hands down. Service was attentive and exceptional. The sommelier spent some time with us to help us pick out our wine selections (they have alot of unique hard to find wines and constantly rotate them). Some of the food was tasty and well prepared but some of it was lacking-underseasoned or overcooked sides, bare salad, mostly unremarkable except for a couple of nice dishes like grilled asparagus and the dill crema on the salmon. The service was very good- host and servers were friendly, attentive and ambiance is fine but a bit outdated perhaps. Even by Ann Arbor standards the prices seem high for the meals served and drinks were also pricey. Known as a special event restaurant diners may expect these prices but then its also reasonable to expect something more special and delicious about the food, IMO.

A surprisingly disappointing dinner after so many excellent ones here was deflating. Our meals of halibut and smoked duck breast were under par for Westend; the halibut could have been a different species as the fillet lacked the usual defined texture, and frankly was too bland. The duck was grisly and not enough flavor to invite more bites. The mushroom trio was superb and the Black Walnut manhattan became unappealingly sweeter with repeated sips. Maybe I should have complained to the server but there comes a time during a meal when it is just too late to fuss. Maybe next time we go all appetizers as lovely wife suggested on leaving?
