"I went to Johnny's Tavern to have a drink and place a to go order. My friend has a service dog for a disability and the dog was with us. The dog was also wearing his service vest. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately told we would have tosit outside on the patio. it was explained to the manager that a service animal is by law allowed to go in any place his handlercan go. We were then informed that the OWNER DOES NOT ALLOW SERVICE DOGS. We tried to explain that The Americans WithDisabilities Act, Federal Law as well as Kansas State law state a service animal is considered just like a medical device andthey were breaking the law. We were asked to.sit outside or leave. We left. We did call and speak to a woman claiming to be theperson in charge and she continued to tell.me the owner does not allow service animals inside as its a private establishment. NO. They serve the public and are obligated to allow disabled individuals and their needed service animal to sit inside andcan't treat them differently. IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY, YOU WILL NOT BE TREATED VERY KINDLY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. DO NOT GO TOTHIS RESTAURANT IF YOU SUPPORT THE RIGHTS OF ANYONE WITH A DISABILITY. My friend was very upset and embarrassed that he wastreated so unkind. He's considering bring suit against this owner so others don't go through what he did. Not acceptable. Ifyou own a business, you should know the laws regarding disabilities. Never entering this business again. Hope others will findanother place to eat."

Ballyhoo's Island Sports Grill

Ballyhoo's Island Sports Grill

140 Fairview Drive, Emerald Isle, 28594, United States Of America

Pizza • Brunch • Seafood • American

"This restaurant has the worst food on the island. I have a vacation home near Ballyhoos and really wanted the food to be good, but it just isn't happening. I have been there many times, with my most recent visit being last Saturday night. I ordered the chicken and took one bite into a very cold piece of poultry, only to see it was pink inside. When I informed the waitress, she just laughed and said "sorry, the grill ran out of gas." I have never had a quality meal here, although I do enjoy the atmosphere and watching sports games. Anyone who claims the food is good must be an employee or have a personal connection to the place, because the quality is just not there. The meats are low quality, overpriced, and the fried seafood is greasy and cooked in old oil. The staff, young girls in clothes too small, seem more interested in flirting with customers than providing good service. Ballyhoos is a great sports bar, but the food is terrible. Their breakfast is better than their dinner. Their recent health grade was a 92, but I am considering contacting the health department after being served undercooked poultry. If you enjoy drinking and watching sports, go to the bar, but don't waste your money on their dinner menu. The prices are high for the poor quality, with poorly cooked food that lacks seasoning and variety. It's a shame, as this place has the potential to be great with its location and atmosphere, but the food ruins its reputation."

Irish Snug

Irish Snug

1201 E Colfax Ave, Denver, United States Of America, 80218

Irish • Vegan • Cheese • Breakfast

"The Irish Snug wasn’t quite Irish enough for me, and I think a big part of it was the music. The place itself is all bricks and wood and dark leather and gleaming bronze. So, yeah, it looks like a classic pub. The memorabilia on the walls is a mixed bag: some photographs and figurines from the “old country,” but just as many contemporary sports collectibles. The menu is a mix, too; traditional Irish meals like bangers and mash and corned beef sharing menu space with fish tacos and chicken tenders. But the music! There was a song by Bachman Turner Overdrive, there was another by the Allman Brothers. You know, standard American bar tunes. No Irish music. I’m not even talking about the Clancy Brothers or the Chieftains, although they are favorites of mine. I know I am aging myself by saying so! But there are plenty of other Irish choices: the Boomtown Rats, the Waterboys, Thin Lizzy. The Cranberries. Clannad. Van Morrison and Sinead O'Connor. U2, of course. There was none of that. The music was all pure American. Still, we visited on a Thursday. Perhaps there is Irish music on the weekends? Enough about the music. What about the food? My wife had the Shepherd’s Pie, which she enjoyed. I had the Irish Cheddar Mac ‘n’ Cheese, with bacon added. That bacon was really something! There were huge chunks of it! We thought the food was what we’d hoped for hearty, hot, and satisfying. The Irish Snug really does have snugs, those tiny private rooms from the old days. They were for female customers who couldn’t be seen drinking out in front of anyone. There’s a gigantic community room downstairs in this pub, too. It’s fitting for big meetings, or large weddings... or live music, for that matter. Irish music, please!"
