"I started frequenting Jabo's 10 years ago and unfortunately haven't made it back until recently. Fortunately, however, I found that my favorite feature on the menu, the option to choose your own barbecue sauce flavor and heat level- still remains. They have several flavor staples, and several heat levels. This also includes a rotating flavor. We ordered jalapeño mango sauce over a Jabo link with pork, and a rib tip lunch with medium heat cherry sauce (rotating). Let me start with the tenderness of the meat. The pork over the hot link was juicy and flavorful. The hot link tasted as though it was grilled *after* slicing it, to give it a more charred flavor, which worked so well with the sweetness of the mango. The rib tip meat practically fell off the cartilage. This was served over fries and smothered in the cherry sauce, which paired incredibly with the rib tips. The fries were cut closer to a wedge style, which works so well with a dish like this, as it's it's easier to pick up with a fork and make for equal bites of everything on the plate. The portions are also incredibly generous. Both my Husband and I ended up taking half our food home!Jabo's is a quick service, sit down style atmosphere where you arrive at the host stand, are seated with menus, then pay at the counter at the end of your meal. The staff was friendly and I love the red upholstered booths, as red increases appetite and this restaurant showcases why you should try their amazing barbecue!"

"I was driving around searching for a good homemade burger. I didn 't want a fast food chain burger. I was in the hunt for a homemade or homemade like burger. Like I mentioned I was driving around and I came across Strouds. I checked the menu and it had the 1/4 brisket burger with fries. Idk what was I expecting, but unfortunately this brisket was not what I was on the hunt for. It was my first time there. Although the waitress gave good service and the corn nuggets were an add on that were fresh and lightly battered. But, my 1/4 brisket burger was such a huge disappointment. First, it had onions and pickles with lots of pickle juice. If you like that, then you may enjoy it. But, as for me I don 't like or enjoy extra condiments on my burgers. Except for bacon or cheese. What made the matters from bad to terrible was that none of the condiments or extra ingredients in the burger are mentioned in the menu nor the waitress explained. The place was EMPTY that should have been the first sign. But back to the burger... There was this 1 huge onion right in the middle with not 1 or 2, but several pickles with pickle juices all over the burger that the taste was inevitably present with no way to avoid it. Trust me I tried! I tried to eat the edges first, but the taste smell of the pickles and it 's pickle juices was all over the burger. I obviously didn 't eat it all. The burger was true to its size, but it just didn 't taste quite what my palette and stomach was hungry for. It didn 't taste like an actual brisket burger, perhaps store bought and def was not homemade. In regards to the fries, it was also evident that it was frozen bought. Which makes it even worst that I 'm going to a small business, non restaurant seeking homemade or close to homemade as possible and it truly was neither. Both meals came out to $22+ tip which I would have paid less at elsewhere gotten the juicy burger I desperately wanted. 3 stars for the corn nuggets, the waitress was nice, the place was clean, although it was EMPTY."
