"This is my third time here and my personal menu choices were spot on each time! The first time was the salmon and risotto. It was very good. The 2nd time Christmas Eve dinner, with my fiancé. I tired the salmon and salad combo with the grassroots salad and the smoked salmon.. it’s fascinating and delicious! My fiancé got the shrimp and Gita which was amazing too. We tried the bread pudding dessert and out delightful server brought us the butterscotch pecan pie to try. We ate both of them gone! Third time I went couple days after New Year to celebrate Christmas with my fiancé, daughter and her boyfriend. I was going to get something new but why when that salmon and salad combo is anything I could ever want and it did not disappoint! The smoked salmon is chilled which has this amazing flavors and the sauce that comes with it tops it off greats the grassroots salad is wonderful but make sure you like those ingredients because not many people like beets, I’ve found! My daughter had the shrimp and grits, again wonderful? Her boyfriend had the redfish which I didn’t taste but they said it was great. My fiancé tried the short ribs and we went impressed.. they were just ok and maybe a little dry.. the server was able to get something else and our evening was closed out with the bread pudding and butterscotch pecan pie disappearing yet again. The Macintosh is my new favor place for a nice dinner out!"

"Save your money and go to Texas Roadhouse 2 3 times for what you will pay here. Actual rating would be 2.5 stars. I would have reduced to 1 2 stars if the food was awful, but thankfully it wasn 't awful. Our group paid $38 $52 plate for dinner, $8 $16 per drink (beer, wine, or otherwise), and a 25% surcharge mandatory gratuity for a group of our size I really expected better out of this place. First off, this is the place where you want to take an ugly boyfriend or girlfriend because the lighting is so low you won 't be focused on their imperfections let alone be able to see the menu or your meal very well. The Char Broiled Ribeye was pretty good but the bone in ribeye had a lot of fat around the edges. If the marbling was as good as advertised the lighting prevented us from seeing it. The optional crusts on the steaks were a nice touch but the grilled veggies were tasteless. Appetizers were okay but nothing special. Maybe the restaurant was understaffed because the main complaint was our waitress couldn 't keep our water glasses full for the 2 hours that we were there. Note to Management just leave a couple of decanters of water on the table for a group. We 'd rather have water available to us than be forced to wait for it. Our waitress was pleasant kind but just not around enough to service a group of our size. We overpaid for the meal and the $163 gratuity that our waitress hand wrote on the receipt wasn 't what I would have tipped had I been asked what the service was actually worth. Texas Roadhouse delivers a more consistent experience and better bang for your buck."

"Me and my wife went there for our first time on 10/13/23, we both got the 14oz new York strip specials, neither steak had absolutely no seasoning at all, I got well done which was surprisingly cooked right but with the lack of seasoning I just wasn't interested in finishing it, she got medium rare, her steak was extremely tough, so she asked for another and that one was equally as tough and hard to cut through, she said there was alot of fat and grizzle, definitely not a $50 steak, her green beans had absolutely no seasoning, they tasted like they were fresh out of the can, I ordered steak fries, they came out soggy and undercooked, when I asked for new ones they took them away and was back less than three minutes later which made it obvious I did not get new ones, they simply put the first ones back in the fryer, they didn't try to deny it either, this was our honeymoon dinner and now my wife has been up all night and morning throwing up everything she ate last night which means she got food poisoning from something there, I didn't get it because I ate very little because the food was so disappointing, the drinks were good and our waitress Brittany was probably the best waitress I have had in years, they knew they messed up really bad so they didn't want to charge us for anything, I had them charge me for the drinks just so I could tip the waitress because we had no cash, they are a steakhouse yet mostly serve seafood and seafood related items which makes little sense if you're a steakhouse and you mess up extremely bad on the steaks, their prices are way too high for the lack of quality, I imagine their continued patronage is from locals that don't want to travel twenty minutes to a larger town and wait in line, we were there at 8pm and they were completely dead by 9:30 pm with no customers but us and that says something as well"

"We moved to the area in December, and we were hoping this was going to be our new neighborhood goto restaurant. This was our time dining at this restaurant since New Years Our meal on New Year's Eve was out of this world, and perfect! The menu and the service were both beautiful, the ambience, not so much as we were seated in the bright lighted, casual oyster bar area, but everything else made up for it. It was so wonderful that we returned the following week and dined on the regular menu. We preferred the special NYE menu, but found some yummy things on the regular menu. Unfortunately, the last times we've dined have been significantly disappointing. It's unfortunate that a dining experience can change so dramatically in such a short length of time. The last time we dined, we took friends with us on a Sunday night. The restaurant was not busy. Our service was slow and the wait staff was unattentive. The food was unfortunately equally poor. I ordered a steak medium rare that was served twice, medium well. We ordered a hamburger that was also overcooked and hard. We were unable to eat of the meals served. Our server was apologetic, but unfortunately no member of management addressed our table or concerns. The food, mixed drinks and the service were FAIR. The restaurant location is beautiful and has the potential to be a wonderful dining experience. There is really no fine dining or upper scale dining in the area so this restaurant has the opportunity to take that spot. However, the inconsistency of the food presentation, the food quality and service are concerning to us. I wrote a star review for our first visits. Every restaurant has an off night, but this experience seems to be decompensating a little more and more on every return visit. I am hopeful that these concerns can be addressed and wish them more success in the future! Until then, I sadly cannot recommend this dining experience"

"I Was Here for a Big Group Event and They Dropped the Ball. Granted, we had about 60 people at our event for dinner, but at the same time, they agreed to host us and could've refined their operations to deliver a better experience. The event was family style, where all courses were served on platters and passed around... family style. No problem here, but doing it that way and the cash we dumped, should've lent itself to accommodating 60+ people with a better meal. With that said, they deserve a second chance and I would come back next time I'm in Tucson. The first course was a BLT Wedge Salad, with Parmesan, cherry tomatoes, bacon, served with a smoked tomato ranch. While what I'm about to tell you has never happened to me, the started salad was the star of the evening--a great dressing with fresh, crispy vegetables made this a top-notch salad. While the next courses looked great, this is one of those times when looks can be deceiving. The main course was Pulled Chicken Breast, Seasoned Flank Steak, and Smoked Salmon--all minimally seasoned and all extremely dried out. Here is where if the cooking operations were refined, they could've cooked the meat for a shorter period of time to avoid drying it all out and serving it faster and hotter. I had to use an amalgamation of their Piloncillo BBQ sauce (sweet) and their Chiltepin BBQ sauce (spicy) to add moisture back into the meats; they also have a vinegar-based sauce. The sides served with the main course, wasn't anything to write home about, but worth writing about here. We got their Aged Cheddar Mac n' Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, and Bacon-wrapped Asparagus. The bacon on the asparagus was cooked through, but didn't have that crispiness most people, myself included, love in bacon--the cooks should've left these on for one minute longer. However, they were delicious. The other sides were just plain, mildly seasoned, and, at least, cooked well. Lastly, we received an assortment of desserts, namely the Peanut Butter Mini-Pies, Key Lime Mini-Pies, Apple Crumble Mini-Tarts, and Chocolate Cream Mini-Pies. Clearly these were not made in-house and were pre-packages--doesn't bother me, but what's disappointing is that this was another example of a pre-made item that they couldn't mess up; while the other stuff, they messed up. Overall, it was an OK experience, with 60+ people drinking and having a good time, that's all that really matters. Like I said, they deserve a second chance and I'll be back. I would just caution against going with a large group."
