"I had dinner at this restaurant last night. We only ordered drinks and burgers. Unfortunately, the service was lacking and the food arrived cold (and overcooked). The server did not check on us during our meal, so I was unable to address the issue until after we had finished. Although they comped our appetizer, there was no apology given. The server's attitude was as cold as the food. This was our second disappointing experience out of the last three visits. On the third visit, the restaurant was closed despite their website stating they were open. There are much better dining options in the area, so we will not be returning."

"I decided to go to Mt. Airy and check out the historic downtown. I was happy to find this restaurant because all the other ones on the street were more fast food, burgers, unhealthy options, etc. The atmosphere was clean and open. The decor was classy and the bar was fun. I got the fish of the day (mahi) sandwich and it was cooked perfectly. The salad was fresh and great vegetables. The service was good. I wanted a glass of the sociable red, but they were out of that one, so I didn’t get any wine."

"Table for four and we all ordered cheese steak sandwiches with crab fries. They use minute steak not chopped steak and they all came out with pieces of flat burnt meat in them. One was so bad it couldn’t be eaten. Mine was burnt but I was able to pick out most of the burnt pieces and make half of a half a sandwich. The fried onions that two of us ordered were in the sandwich but a very small amount. The crab fries were so salty they were in eatable. I would never eat there again and the cook should be ashamed to serve food like that he definitely had to see the burnt steak but served it anyway so that why we all decided not to say anything to the waitress. We figured it would make things worse with the cook who serves food like this. Price per person: $100+"

"The only reason I'm giving this restaurant a rating of 3 for service is due to our pleasant server. However, we had to wait 45 minutes for our appetizer and another 30 minutes for our entrées to arrive. To make matters worse, there were only four other tables occupied in the dining room, and two tables that were seated after us received their food before we did. Unfortunately, there wasn't a manager available to address our concerns. Service: Dine-in."

"My wife and I had a fantastic breakfast this morning at Beach Road Round Up. Make sure to come hungry! This place really excels at home cooking! The portions are large, and the ingredients were fresh, prepared the same morning. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere where locals and tourists come together effortlessly. Just a heads up— their hours change with the seasons, so it's smart to check ahead. If we didn't have to head home in the late morning, I would have loved to return for lunch, which is the only other meal they serve. Lastly, the staff was exceptionally helpful! Kudos to them!"

"I have to give a shoutout to the local heroes in our community! The atmosphere at this restaurant is amazing! The service is friendly and the food is fantastic. I am absolutely obsessed with their fried chicken! It's lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with love. The chicken breasts are huge, juicy, and there are no crispy bits left behind when I'm done. If I'm feeling generous, I may share a bit with my hubby, but after one chicken breast, I'm usually tapping out. I either share it or take it home for later, which my husband loves because he enjoys cold chicken. The sides are always delicious, whether it's the baked beans, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, onion rings, fries, or apples. The ribs are tender and the mustard-based sauce is a favorite of my husband's. They even offer it as a dip for the wings as an appetizer. The restaurant is clean, the music volume is just right, and there are plenty of TVs to watch sports and news. I feel relaxed and comfortable here, with cold drinks, attentive service, and no rush to leave. Bravo!"

"Stopped in with my family, we are local and we've passed by so many times. I would state this is your run of the mill local tavern. A convenient option for hotel guests for the attached hotel. The food was not bad but not exceptional. The beer selection was hit or miss as to what they had available but they were willing to let me sample. Had local live music and a decent crowd. Waited a little longer than desired for check, but I did not get a strong impression that the wait staff was very experienced. Great views which will be even better as the weather warms. Would go again, but for beers, music and views."

"After 30 minutes, we were finally seated. We ordered crab, a fish sandwich, and fish and chips. The crab was fantastic—generous portions and cooked perfectly! Our server, Jacky, was very friendly and attentive. Overall, the food was good. The fish and chips were decent; I’ve had better in terms of portion size and fish quality, but this was still enjoyable. I had also ordered corn, but I forgot to check if it arrived or if I was charged for it—I'll be sure to remind them next time! Pricing was reasonable and not as high as other crab restaurants that tend to overcharge. The only downside was that it took a long time for our food to arrive, but that’s understandable given the crowd. I’ll definitely come back again!"

"Maybe this was an off day for lunch. The waitstaff was excellent. The ambience is very nice. The food was off in places. The crispy Brussels sprouts were anything but. Soggy and over fried. The wedge salad was boring. On the other side, the risotto was excellent as was the spinach salad with tuna (perfectly done). Everyone can have an off day. Weâll be back another day."

"Good food, good drinks, slightly overpriced but that's to be expected at a resort. Host stand isn't well attended and when you arrive you may wait a while before being helped. We ate there two times during our stay and it took us 10 minutes to even be seen at the host stand both times. Everything else was excellent, but if I had to change anything, it would be a better greeting system upon arrival, and make sure there is someone there at all times. When I am paying a premium for the resort service, it's frustrating to not receive the premium level of service."

"This review has been in the making for a while as Hurricane Ian damaged Crabby Joe 's Pier fairly extensively, which led to a total shutdown for almost 2 years, I believe! They have finally reopened, and from the looks and food quality: they have definitely improved (the server shared that the larger kitchen allows for better food prep and options, etc). We ordered a range of dishes from steamed red shrimp (absolutely delicious and reasonably priced). Blackened fish tacos with a side of veggies, and they were yummy! Mahi Tacos with sweet potato fries and mahi was very fresh and good portions, too! Lastly, their fish chips have also improved, and it tasted like proper fish chips! Of course, the number one reason to visit is the over the water Pier view and seating ! Crabby Joe 's just exudes vacation/chill mode, even for an afternoon lunch! We will be back many times!"

"We have been often for the view of the Bay, Food was ok this time, my husband had a crab cake I had the oysters, all part of Restaurant week on the Island. We had either the salad which was fresh and very good, Husband had the soup which he loves this time not so much, we both had baked potatoes for our side very over cooked and dry. Oysters were ok, crab cake not the best on the Island. I must say most customers had trays of crabs so that seems what we should have done and not tried the Restaurant week menu. We had a bottle of ok wine but mark up was a little extreme for the bottle that usually sells for much less. Service was very good considering the Restaurant was packed with patron. We will go back but not for Restaurant week because the menu was limited and we really did not get a good representation of their menu at least not with our meals. Dessert was a piece of cake with rum sauce that was not worth the calories."

"My husband and I went here for our 15th anniversary and our bill was about $80 for 2 apps, 6 beers, and 2 burgers. Our king fries sat in the window so long they were cold when we got them, the cheese was hard and stuck intsted of hot and melty or I'm sure they would have been great. Husband said the wings were good but our burgers was not seasoned at all. Honestly the bacon king from burger king was a better burger, worth more then what we paid today. Our server was nice but not attentive and seemed inexperienced. They were not busy and we still had cold food and sat with no drinks for a while. Spent 2 hours here waiting for food and drinks and it was mediocre at best."

"So disappointing!!! I made a reservation for my family a couple weeks in advance. When we arrived the staff looked completely taken aback and had no knowledge of my reservation or any seating ready for me. Just complete blank stares. Turned out it was not a big deal as there were NO other people eating there. Let that be a warning when you see that folks. The food was terrible. I mean just awful. Fries were soggy and gross. Not cooked correctly. I had the driest tacos of my entire life. No sauce, no salsa, no condiments of any kind. Nothing to add flavor which was just so desperately needed. My niece left her crab cake sandwich uneaten. Everyone in the family left unhappy and I’m not sure they will ever let me choose another restaurant again. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. It was the absolute worst part of an otherwise glorious week at the outer banks."

"Okay- so this place is a GEM. My husband and I were on the prowl for good seafood and we were absolutely not disappointed. I had the sautéed scallops and sautéed shrimp on a salad and let me tell you, the seafood was amazing. My husband had the stuffed flounder and he said it was the best he had ever had. And the service was exceptional, the young man who took our order was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I’m gluten free so I had a lot of questions and he was very knowledgeable! Made sure he got my order right. We will DEFINITELY be coming back! Thank you for an incredible and delicious experience."

"Dont waste your Dining area was clean. Reason for 1 star review is the rude waitress named Jennifer. Food was just ok. We were a party of 3 different families, when Jennifer seated us she did not make us aware they would only do 2 checks. At the end of dinner she handed us 1 bill. I asked if we could split it between the families and she said no just 2 tickets were allowed. I asked that they please do 3 and she said no. She handed it back to me and told me to figure out how we want to split it. I gave it back stating I would just tell her who got what so she can enter it and she with a rude attitude stated no she wasn't going to do it and that If I wanted to split it then I had to mark it down. Umm, are you not the waitress?? If you took the orders and know who got what, you should know. She was very rude, disrespectful with her tone, words and body language. She needs to find a different job, that's not how you treat your customers. I am a manager in retail and would be ashamed to treat my customers the way she did. We will not be going back, and I will not be recommending this place to any of my family and friends that visit OBX frequently. Now to the food. The Hot Crab Dip was nothing but sour cream and cheese, you could not taste the crab. The Fish Tacos had barely any fish. The crab cakes were overpriced for what they were. Everything was bland with no flavor or seasonings. The kids chicken tenders were so dark brown because the oil was old and needed to be changed. Don't waste your money."

"When a bar comes to Damascus, a city that had a 50 year alcohol prohibition that didn 't end until 2013, it 's BIG news. Up until then, and even today because of the limited choices), most of the drinking any resident of the town does is in neighboring Germantown or Mount Airy. Quincy 's has been a welcome addition and I have been coming here to see the same familiar faces since it opened 3 4 years ago. It should be noted that there is no LIQUOR served here only beer and wine but that 's a Damascus issue, not Quincy 's. Damascus will NEVER be a liquor accessible town, I can assure you of that. In any event, you won 't find a nicer and more attentive bartender than Tyler he works long hours and seemingly lives there but never looks agitated or gloomy as you 'll see with some in that line of work. Another thing I love about Quincy 's as I do with any bar that uses it is the access to the TOUCHTUNES jukebox. Nothing like controlling the music and the mood from your own phone! This is a GREAT place to sit at the bar on Sundays during the fall and watch NFL football all day very organized and each of the flat screen overhead TV 's are labeled with particular games. And hey, this is Damascus after all, so Quincy 's doubles as a FAMILY RESTAURANT! Bring the kiddos and enjoy the food which, by the way, is really good). The only reason I deducted one star? The hours are a tad odd they are open Wednesday through Saturday from 3PM to 9PM ish), Sunday 12PM to 9, and closed on BOTH Monday and Tuesday. Naturally, I always have a hankering to be there on...well, Monday or Tuesday. :"
