"My family lived in Livingston for many years, passed by this place countless times and moved out of Livingston but have never been to Nero's. We decided to give it a try for my mom's 73rd birthday. I was a little nervous because the mixed reviews. First, it's a beautiful establishment with both indoor and outdoor seatings. Second, the service is great. I made a reservation for today but for some reason it was put in for next Sunday. They quickly put a table for us for 9 people. Now the food, it is decent but I do agree with other reviews that for the price you pay, it could be better. We asked for medium rare for our ribeye but it was well-done. We told the waitress and she was very nice and cool about it and they made us new ones. When you didn't do it right the first time, you do it very right the next time and they did. We all enjoyed the calamari a lot and the kids liked the pizza. We also brought a cake and they were nice to bring it out and give us plates and silverware even when they have a full house. Overall, it was a good dining experience."

"we had a big eckish with a view of the dining room. the service was attentive without being annoyed. the quality of the food is improved during each visit. we ordered a taramosalata and a Greek village salad to start. both were excellent, served with warm brot and pita triangle. we had a Greek sea bass and lamb hack, and dessert was a boughatsa baked with a Greek coffee and a minze tee. we repeat customers and were never disappointed. highly recommended"

"I used to like this place. Today went with family of four. Among other starters ordered the mixed appetizer plater. Absolutely astounded by the absurdly small portions. Typically would just let it go and not return, but in this case was so obscenely small I need to share with everyone. If you can’t serve an honest dish it’s time to pack it up and go home. Unacceptable. Will never go again and definitely need to tell everyone in the neighborhood to avoid at all cost. Rip off plain and simple.I should have taken a photo and show the whole world. Shameful."

"Souvlaki GR was absolutely incredible. The portion sizes are massive and the food is absolutely delicious. We started with three dips. They provided pita and we added cucumber for a massive opener. My friend had the Greek cheese stuffed burger which was absolutely incredible. The feta at this restaurant is the best I?ve ever had, frankly. The fries, pictured here, are a massive order which we could barely finish. I also ordered the Souvlaki pita. It was delicious and areasonable size. I think the average person would enjoy that plus an appetizer of some kind as they are smaller than the other massive plates served. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food came out quickly. Highly recommend andcan?t wait to go back."

"I am Greek and judge Greek restaurants very strictly. Eleni’s surpassed all my expectations. Their octopus is the most tender and tasty I’ve had in years. Their fish is moist and very fresh. "We have dined at Roux several times for dinner and have always been impressed with both the food and the service. This time, we had the opportunity to try their lunch menu, which, although understandably less extensive than the dinner offerings, featured a nice variety of options ranging from light snacks to full entrees. The waitstaff were attentive without being intrusive, and the chefs clearly displayed their expertise. I enjoyed a delightful clam chowder soup, followed by a perfectly cooked steak, and finished with a bread pudding that was among the best I've ever had. From now on, this will definitely be one of my go-to spots for lunch."

"Veronica was our server, and she did an excellent job. She had a great sense of humor and made our evening enjoyable. The food was good, but it didn't quite meet expectations given the price. I ordered the lamb chops, which were tasty, but there weren’t enough pieces. The presentation was nice, and the dish seemed intriguing at first. However, it turned out to be mainly carrots, along with about six thin slices of what I think were also carrots. As I was eating, I was hoping to discover something delicious and exciting, but all I found was another slice of potato. Don’t get me wrong, it tasted fine, but for the price, I expected more. I might consider returning just to try the appetizers. The table next to us ordered the fried calamari, which smelled really good. However, I don’t think I’ll be eating there again."

"we are always on estia and never have a complain. but I booked our reservation a few days before the time and requested a certain table, they did not place us there. I also wrote in the inscription, it was for a birthday and hoped that they put a candle or something in the ice when dessert was ordered, they did not or recognized / ask if we wanted something to birthday. we went early enough to make accommodations and also the reservation early enough in advance. was very disappointed as estia is always on her A game."

"Just returned from Greece and wanted to have some Greek flavors that I became so accustomed to. Yasou Santorini did not disappoint! Everything was fresh and delicious. The stuffed peppers tasted authentic and were filling, the spicy cheese dip was really good too and the portions were big. The big beans were spectacular and the lemon potatoes (side dish) are a must have! Overall, everything was great and I would highly recommend this place. "wanted to come here long ago, especially to see what this is about. authentic Greek food in its finest. chicken souvlaki, freshly cut tomato and gurken and salat was fresh. had a series of lemon potatoes, which were only sensational and a side order of lamb gyro, also delicious. it is a ten round with taking out a small break - the pita brot consists of milk! no other Greek restaurant that I was to serve pita w/ milk in it. that was not too sweet, but everything else was excellent as the photos and I will come back. at last was the customer service and attention over par!"

"The worst Greek food I have EVER had! My mousaka was definitely NOT fresh, and the sayanaki was mostly burnt flakes, cold greasy! You could tell it was something that was not fresh at all. I was told by Ava that this problem will be handled appropriately. She did NOTHING. She just lied about everything. And the manager is pushy, arrogant and rude. The worst avgolemono! "I've bought food for pick up from here a couple of times before. Every time there is some incompetence going on at the register and over the phone. It's always a girl or boy, who can't get orders right or lack the ability to do listen or remember details.Yesterday I placed my order, came in to pick it up after the 15 minutes I was told it'd be ready by. When I get there I had towait another 12 minutes because the cashier couldn't get an order down from the phone. Fine, I waited. When I get home, myorder was completey wrong, like I had got some one else's order, and my drink was missing. I couldn't even enjoy the soggy friesthey usually serve..because after almost 30 minutes of sitting in a bag inside aluminum the fries were complete garbage. Getsomeone else on the register, maybe one of the many brown people you have working the kitchen. They seem to work efficiently. But it doesn't matter, because $38 for a gyro with the wrong meat, soggy fries, missing drink, and a mediocre salad. I won'tever be back."

"We had an excellent meal here! The service was not the best nor what I would have expected for this type of restaurant but in the end everything worked out. We ordered the fish soup, Greek salad, tuna steak and Chilean sea bass, and a bottle of wine. Everything had quintessential flavors that were unique and unlike other restaurants. The bread was outstanding! Crispy crust but light airy on the inside. The olives were amazing and the hummus was light and delicious. Excellent flavor in the tomatoes and feta. My challenge came with George our server. I wanted the sea bass without the sauce and it came with the sauce on everything. I requested that it not have sauce and he brought the same dish back deconstructed. He just took the former food and put it in a separate plate but it still had the sauce on it. He had an awful attitude and was not very friendly. He made us feel like we were a total annoyance. I asked for it to be cooked without sauce and I saw him in the kitchen waving his armed and not happy explaining what I wanted. In the end what was delivered was awesome and so delicious they should really add it to the menu! Grilled Chilean sea bass with lemon and olive oil. Excellent !!"

"This restaurant review is a bit challenging to write. The interior of the place is absolutely beautiful. However, we had to wait a long time for someone to take our drink orders. The octopus was cooked perfectly, and the saganaki and grilled calamari were delicious. The crab cake was good, but not worth the high price tag. The entrees were cooked well, but the steak was more expensive than other steakhouses in the area. I ordered the dorado, which was good but not exceptional. My daughter's salmon, however, looked and tasted fantastic. The service was average, as we waited 30 minutes for the check after dessert. Overall, we had a good time, but was it worth the price? I would have to say no, as I can get a satisfying meal at other Greek restaurants for a lower price."
