"Wow what a great restaurant. It is a definite go to place every time we're in Chicago. You can't beat the unique menu, locally sourced ingredients and the friendly and helpful staff. In warm weather it has one of the best patios in the area. This visit was exceptional. The cheese and charcuterie platter was delicious with tons of options. We sampled the smoked ham, chorizo, serrano ham along with the red dragon and manchego cheeses. Platter looked beautiful with toast crisps, marinated olives, pickles, apples, raisins and whole grain mustard as sides. Entrees were flavorful and fresh with the salmon salad being a medley of fresh house smoked salmon, bagel crisps, cream cheese, tomato and capers. Delicate but filling also. Chicken and waffles made a savory entree with crunchy waffles and lightly breaded chicken. Very flavorful syrup was warm and added to the overall taste. Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked but our favorite part of the meal was the ham freshly out of the smoker; hot and savory we could have ordered more. As always cocktails are unique and pack a punch a very comprehensive beer list adds to the fun. Our server was very helpful, made great suggestions and kept our drinks topped up.
