"It 's almost like this restaurant completely gave up, what used to be packed was quite empty for lunch. There was a hair in my food, error after error, and poor service all around. As soon as we were seated the nightmare started. We were seated in a table that was broken, the lightest touch and tilted like a seesaw. The hostess gave us attitude just for asking to be moved. Then came one of the worst waitresses I have ever encountered (receipt said name was Evan but not sure). After a long wait she finally showed up. Our party of 3 all asked for water, waitress only brought one water? Asked for water again but waitress forgot again. We 've now been waiting quite a while and waitress finally asks for our drink order, so we order drinks and say we are ready to order food. Waitress says she can 't take the food order yet? what?! And that she 'll be back, proceeds to disappear. Drinks don 't come out for 15 minutes and waitress doesn 't show up once. Finally waitress comes to take the order, she repeats the order twice incorrectly. Part of order does come promptly but waitress put in the wrong order (potato crisps instead of country potatoes). Have to flag her down to address it and ask for water AGAIN.Finally my meal comes last, there 's a GIANT HAIR across my breakfast sandwich. Of course waitress is missing again. After 5 minutes of waiting, i get up and go find her myself, I explain the situation and she says she 'll be right there. Waitress proceeds to walk past our table and take another parties order, take payment from another table, and actively ignoring us. Everyone is almost done eating and I am still sitting with a plate with a hair in front of me. No offer to remake it, no offer for another item, just ignored. I get up and request a manager. When the manager shows up i 'm heated and complaining at the lack of service/food/errors. Waitress proceeds to walk up and lie, says she did address the hair with me but no manager was around? What??!!! Also tells the manager look there 's a glass of water on the table so what 's the issue?Manager was just as incompetent. First question manager asked was do you want to keep the plate or would you like me to remake it? Who would say yes I want to eat the food with hair in it thats been sitting untouched for what was probably 15 minutes? Manager completely ignores and fails to address the service complaints. Replacement plate took just as long to make yet it looked like it was microwaved (limp yet steaming croissant sandwich). Manager then says I took the sandwich off your bill and I also took the replacement sandwich off So she was going to charge me for both?? Oh and at the time the replacement showed up is when the Country Potato finally showed up for the error the waitress first made.Manager did not assign another waitress to us and old waitress continued to completely ignore us. Yet found it in her heart to show up for payment and sarcastically say she hopes we had a great time and service..."

"2020 really did a number on this place and I feel like it’s best years are behind. I used to adore the salmon fillet and hold it up with the very best that you can find in the valley. I got to give props to the management staff for making good when something goes wrong for the customer. They will make all sorts of allotments. The problem is I don’t think the entrées and the presentation match the level that the restaurant is aspiring to. A few times I had the bread and it was a little bit tough whereas many years ago it used to be very nicely done where it’s hard but not too much. Lately it’s been overdone and dry and not worth it. Skip the bread. I had the prime rib and that was decent well done but so much of the cut is from the fat that you lose about 2 or 3 ounces. It’s unconscionable though that the salad they sent me home with was put into a cardboard box which could leak through. I thought maybe they put some aluminum foil down in the box to keep the salad isolated but the regard for salads at this place has definitely fallen off from when I would go for lunch entrées with salad regularly to hoping you don’t get poisoning from it. Their sirloin is excellent though but doesn’t do anything that really justifies the surcharge of the location. I know recent times have hit the restaurant industry tough but the changes to the dining hall which make it feel less comfortable, the fact that there was no courtesy Wi-Fi for people waiting, and a lot of the disregard for the food despite the high asking price makes it clear that this is not a location to go regularly unless you have a really good discount on hand. With the sorry state of steakhouses in the Antelope Valley, it’s unfortunate that this location is slipping in their regard for presentation. They still know how to do steaks but everything else is slipping. I used to go here a lot more often and unfortunately my previous visit will likely be my last."

"The brunch was incredibly disappointing and not just for the price point. The cost was $165 a person (you are charged in advance plus gratuity) and by the time we arrived the food was totally destroyed. The cheese plates on the buffet where so mangled that other parts and bits of food had been smashed into the cheese…this grossness was never cleaned up or removed. One of the offerings for kids was a donut “bar” that’s a lofty description of one small bowl of cold donut holes. Omelette bar was good and at the basic expectation but literally everything else was picked over or missing all together. Then let’s talk about the small plates of leather like bits of ham sitting on book shelves under the heat lamps…honestly I think there was other meat as well but I couldn’t identify it. In the same section was mozzarella and tomato’s, another part I kept thinking would be refreshed but that didn’t happen. Overall I was told it would also be a kid friendly event but the candy bar (which was lovely by the way) cannot be the only kid friend food. Our kids would have eaten the veggie sushi but unfortunately it had turned brown and I couldn’t subject them to that. So next is the shellfish, we love shellfish and it was one of the reasons we decided to do this for Easter (other than kid friendly, etc)…the oysters had turned lukewarm as had the the shrimp and it was deeply concerning. It did not appear that they had the fresh seafood on a timer for refreshing at all. The service staff really seemed to do their best with the situation but overall I would never recommend the Boston Harbor hotel to anyone for their holiday brunch."
