"It 's almost like this restaurant completely gave up, what used to be packed was quite empty for lunch. There was a hair in my food, error after error, and poor service all around. As soon as we were seated the nightmare started. We were seated in a table that was broken, the lightest touch and tilted like a seesaw. The hostess gave us attitude just for asking to be moved. Then came one of the worst waitresses I have ever encountered (receipt said name was Evan but not sure). After a long wait she finally showed up. Our party of 3 all asked for water, waitress only brought one water? Asked for water again but waitress forgot again. We 've now been waiting quite a while and waitress finally asks for our drink order, so we order drinks and say we are ready to order food. Waitress says she can 't take the food order yet? what?! And that she 'll be back, proceeds to disappear. Drinks don 't come out for 15 minutes and waitress doesn 't show up once. Finally waitress comes to take the order, she repeats the order twice incorrectly. Part of order does come promptly but waitress put in the wrong order (potato crisps instead of country potatoes). Have to flag her down to address it and ask for water AGAIN.Finally my meal comes last, there 's a GIANT HAIR across my breakfast sandwich. Of course waitress is missing again. After 5 minutes of waiting, i get up and go find her myself, I explain the situation and she says she 'll be right there. Waitress proceeds to walk past our table and take another parties order, take payment from another table, and actively ignoring us. Everyone is almost done eating and I am still sitting with a plate with a hair in front of me. No offer to remake it, no offer for another item, just ignored. I get up and request a manager. When the manager shows up i 'm heated and complaining at the lack of service/food/errors. Waitress proceeds to walk up and lie, says she did address the hair with me but no manager was around? What??!!! Also tells the manager look there 's a glass of water on the table so what 's the issue?Manager was just as incompetent. First question manager asked was do you want to keep the plate or would you like me to remake it? Who would say yes I want to eat the food with hair in it thats been sitting untouched for what was probably 15 minutes? Manager completely ignores and fails to address the service complaints. Replacement plate took just as long to make yet it looked like it was microwaved (limp yet steaming croissant sandwich). Manager then says I took the sandwich off your bill and I also took the replacement sandwich off So she was going to charge me for both?? Oh and at the time the replacement showed up is when the Country Potato finally showed up for the error the waitress first made.Manager did not assign another waitress to us and old waitress continued to completely ignore us. Yet found it in her heart to show up for payment and sarcastically say she hopes we had a great time and service..."

Food was exceptional. Service was outstanding. Enjoyed sitting in a comfortable booth and not being crammed in with no room

I've been here twice with my family and both times were just ok. The food feels overpriced for the quality you get. It has been extremely loud and crowded both times we were here, to the point were we could not hear each other at the table. The staff was friendly but a bit disorganized and scrambled, probably because they were swamped. We have decided to pick a new brunch spot moving forward so we can actually visit with each other.

Went to Toast upon looking for a brunch place for visiting family. I made a reservation which is highly recommended as this place was busy by 1030am on a Saturday. Food was good all around. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the yolk was perfectly runny which is how I like it. I ordered the Moscow Mule which was beautifully presented. Service was excellent and overall atmosphere was nice. The place is spacious with ample parking. Make a reservation and you will have a better experience. Highly recommend!

I was pleasantly surprised with some of the food and service! The only thing I didn’t like is how noisy it was. Because it has a big area like a warehouse you hear echoes and kids screaming **** murder so it makes your brunch or lunch not as pleasant. You have to cover your ears. Other than that I think pricing was a bit pricey but the food was overall good. We had the sliders, avocado toast which comes with some hash brown style potatoes and those were burnt and dry. I don’t remember the other names but I will go back and hopefully we don’t have kids screaming right next to us. View menu

I don 't get it. This place was nothing special. Felt like a glorified IHOP. Sure it looked a little fancy, but the flavors were not any better. For the price I would have expected much higher quality. Things like pre packaged jams and jelly instead of house made is not really good at this price point. The ingredients did not seem very high quality overall. Hash browns were dry and bland. Omelette was not flavorful. Toast was just toast. Bread was not very high quality. It wasn 't awful, but it definitely was not upscale as the price would have you think. We all left feeling meh.

The food came out 5 min after ordering and all four meals were cold. The food must not be made to order. We had to send all four meals back as it was room temp not hot. Came out a second time cold . The manager came over and claimed the food isn’t sitting around … I find that hard to believe. Perhaps it’s premade … it’s hard to eat cold poached eggs. Perhaps if you choose to dine here you should order something that is cold like a sandwhich. The manager took 20% off the bill. Our party tipped our waitress off the total bill before the discount. She was excellent. We won’t be back.

"I recently visited Izakaya Takasei and had a mixed experience. My boyfriend and I ordered the takoyaki, chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl, several yakitori, takowasabi (raw octopus with wasabi), and the Kobe beef roll. While the takoyaki and yakitori were delicious, the chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl was really bland. The Kobe beef roll was a bit odd with the combination of garlic butter and tataki sauce. Unfortunately, there were also a few items on the menu that were no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. It would be good for the restaurant to update their menu to avoid any confusion or disappointments. While the food at Izakaya Takasei comes out quickly, this can also be a double-edged sword. During my visit, my boyfriend and I received several dishes at once, which meant that a lot of our food was sitting out and getting cold while we were eating the others. It would be great if the kitchen could pace the dishes better to ensure that everything is served at the optimal temperature. The service was a bit lackluster as well. The only time we were able to ask for condiments, utensils, and more water was when the employees brought our food out. No one checked on us throughout our meal, and it would have been nice to have a more attentive staff. On the plus side, the restaurant has nice Japanese decor and is quite spacious. However, there was no background music, which made the ambiance a bit dull.Overall, while there were some drawbacks, Izakaya Takasei may be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. Just be sure to join the wait-list on Yelp beforehand and check in with the host when you arrive."

"A Delightful Breakfast Experience at the Black Bear DinerI recently had the pleasure of dining at the Black Bear Diner, and I must say, it was a remarkable experience that left me feeling satisfied and impressed. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The aroma of hickory smoke bacon filled the air, immediately whetting my appetite and setting the stage for a memorable breakfast.I opted for the classic combination of hickory smoke bacon, over medium eggs, country potatoes, and a medley of red and green peppers and red onions. The skillful preparation of these ingredients resulted in a dish that was nothing short of perfection. The bacon was delightfully crisp, and the eggs were cooked just the way I like them. The country potatoes were seasoned to perfection, and the colorful blend of peppers and onions added a delightful touch of flavor and texture. Every bite was a symphony of taste that left me craving more. What truly made this dining experience stand out was the exceptional service provided by Jennifer, our server. She effortlessly managed the bustling restaurant, seamlessly attending to both dine-in customers and those placing orders to go. Despite the demands of her role, Jennifer always had a smile on her face and treated each customer with the utmost care and attention. Her warmth and efficiency made us feel right at home, and it was clear that she genuinely enjoyed her work. The coffee at the Black Bear Diner deserves special mention. It was outstanding—rich, smooth, and the perfect complement to my meal. It was clear that the diner takes pride in the quality of their beverages as much as their food. The overall ambiance of the Black Bear Diner was cozy and inviting. The rustic decor and friendly staff created an atmosphere that was welcoming and comforting. It was the kind of place that made you want to stay and linger, savoring each moment and enjoying the company of loved ones.In conclusion, my visit to the Black Bear Diner was a truly delightful experience. The breakfast I enjoyed was prepared to perfection, and the outstanding service provided by Jennifer and the entire staff made me feel like a valued guest. If you're looking for a place that serves amazing food, provides exceptional service, and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, I highly recommend dining at the Black Bear Diner.
