"Very disappointed this time with the food. We ordered pretty much the same things but not as good as before. First the fried calamari looked as if it were picked over, crumbly at bottom not as large or as crispy. We ordered the apple gorgonzola salad and to me there was not as much as the last time. BUT the big thing was the way they made it this time... very little gorgonzola big slices of apple just a few cranberry and nuts . I thought there were more things in this salad the last time. And last time it had crispy lettuce when this time it was a bit wilted. The chicken parm was again not as good as last time and 2 pieces were a bit on the small side. Then the Fettuccini Alfredo was dry and had to ask for more sauce. It was still not creamy and velvety and had some seasoning that set the whole dish off. The cannoli was good but was more whipped creamy than the Italian filling we would expect from an Italian restaurant. Sorry Buca ...you are not my fav restaurant any more."

"When we were finally seated, we were placed in the back of the restaurant while two other parties were seated closer to the front. I couldn't help but notice that the group in the front was white, had more waiters attending to them, and was about the same size as our group. In contrast, we were given only one waiter and felt like we were being segregated to the back of the restaurant along with other black parties. The food was mediocre, and when we inquired about vegetables being included in the family-style menu, we were told they were only available on the dinner menu. It was confusing trying to order separately, and my sister-in-law ended up ordering without much clarity. Service was slow, and they even forgot one of the dishes we had ordered. Despite the hefty bill of $1200.00 for 17 people, we left a $100 tip in cash for the waiter as we didn't feel it was her fault. Overall, we felt discriminated against and unsatisfied with the experience, and I don't plan on returning to this restaurant. The only positive note was the bartender at the bar, who provided good service."

"Today August Wednesday the 28th 2024 I ordered two large chicken spicy Reggaeton and a salad asked for extra bread the host rolled his eyes only gave me four loads of bread and then asked for more. He said it’s about a 25 minute wait because I have to make it over the phone when I ordered I specifically asked for extra bread I spent over $170. I also got the apple salad. I waited for 25 minutes for more bread. I’ve been asked for butter. He comes back and gives me three packs of butter. I see him through the kitchen eating completely awful experience"

"Started w/ Chopped Antipasti Salad. Best Italian-style salad I've had in years! Mixed greens heavily dressed in tangy vinaigrette, but still crisp greens w/ chopped Italian meats, pepperoncini/cucumber/tomato, blk/green olives, Gorgonzola/feta/provolone cheeses. The best salty, acidic, cheesy, combination of flavors this kind of salad can have. Spagetti Metaballs, Quattro al Forno, Penne San Remo for dinner. Meatballs sizable (but if serving 3 they could be more generous w/ spaghetti sauce). Same w/ Quattro, which should be named Tre al Forno cause have yet to order where they're not out of one or more of the pastas- it needed more sauce also as areas of pasta was dry crusty. Minor gripes as all 3 dishes had good flavor, generous portions, nice presentation. Bucca is seriously over-priced, especially for pasta, but if you dine-in, use a coupon, order a variety of dishes (as we did) you will have a splurge of a meal plenty of leftovers for a couple of days. For a chain, well done!"

"What Jinky's again? Weren't we just there like 3 days ago? Well, I think another round of pancakes and that bacon would hit the spot. Good thing it's only 11am cuz you guys close too early.You should do a late night breakfast thing. That would rock. A huge hot chocolate fountain in the main room with waterfalls of Bailey's Irish or Kailua on the side. And you could get rid of day old donuts, too. "I believe this restaurant deserves more recognition. If you are searching for a wide selection of options for breakfast or lunch in a casual fast-casual setting, this is the perfect spot. I also commend the restaurant for successfully managing operations during the peak of the pandemic. I never encountered any problems with takeout orders, and the staff maintained a positive attitude despite being busy and short-staffed."

"I did not get to dine at my reservation time. Servers walked out and they could not seat me so we went elsewhere. This is because we had my 85 year old grandma in a wheelchair and could not sit and wait without a table. I am not leaving a negative review because they couldn’t help the circumstances, but they marked me as a no show which was not accurate."

"The server we had was horrible. She took forever to come take our food order. I also put in that it was for a birthday, they didn’t do the happy birthday song. The server didn’t ask us if we were here celebrating anything. Didn’t offer desserts. Didn’t offer refills on our drinks when the cups were sitting empty on the table. We had to call her over to take our order while the whole time she was in the area she was cleaning off tables and resetting tables not acknowledging us to take our order. Or even ask if we were ready to order. Didn’t ask us how the food was. Reservations were at 830, we were seated 3 minutes after entering. 845 we got our drinks and we had to tell her we wanted to order appetizers before she walked off again because she didn’t ask. 850 when she walked back in the area we had to call her over so we could order our food. By the time she came back with the appetizers at 915 they were cold. They brought our dinner out at 940 which was also cold and I had to wait another 10 minutes for the side which was the only hot meal they brought to the table. It was the worst experience that I have ever received from buccas employees. I almost didn’t want to tip the waitress because she was so horrible at her job."

"My friend and I came here to an early dinner and Gordon was our server. He was brilliant, very attentive and informative to have a pleasure as a server. We didn't have to ask for something he was there to ask if there's anything else he could do for us. I would like to come back and let him also be our server! "Food was amazing. It was almost empty at 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon. I had to call the restaurant from my cell phone within the restaurant just so I could announce that we arrived at the hostess stand. Nobody up front or at the bar. 1 customer sitting alone bar side. People cooking in the back so I assume they were making take-out orders. Manager I think she was sat us but came to seat us while she was on speakerphone with another customer trying to multitask us. It was absurd we couldn’t get seated from someone not on a phone considering there was only 1 physical customer in the building. Slow start but once we got a waitress she was much more professional and attentive. First time at this location. I’m surprised it’s still even open and operating after pandemic."

"We have always enjoyed coming here for our annual Christmas Eve dinner. It has always been a tradition in our family. However, the quality of the food has really taken a turn downwards the past few years. Last night was by far pretty poor quality in the food. The chicken marsala is not what it once used to be. Very very thin pieces of chicken But the service was great. Our waiter was fabulous. No complaints there. We were in the back left corner, dining room and it was so hot in there. There was no airflow. It must’ve been 90°. We had to hurry and heat just to be able to get out of that back room to be able to get some air. The kitchen was actually cooler and temperature than the main dining room. Not sure we will be back next year."

"First time at West Hills location. Hubby and I had breakfast. Food is very tasty and good prices. Blueberry-Banana smoothie was not too sweet (exactly how I make at home . Had the Green White Omelet which as flavorful and all the green veggies were chopped up nicely (a lot of places don't do this . Hubby had the Jinkys Nitro Omelet (w/turkey-chicken chorizo which was VERY flavorful. CHILI here is the bomb! Seriously, that's why you come to Jinkys right? 3-4 kinds ofchili on the menu daily (different heat levels . RANCHO BEEF #1 ?. Service could've been a little faster but I could tell they got slammed with a lot of to-go orders on a Sunday morning. The manager did go around to check up on the dine-incustomers. Will be back to try other dishes (and order more Rancho Beef Chili ?! ."

The spaghetti was hot and fresh The garlic and cheese breadsticks were amazing The baked ziti was to die for and the lasagna and manicotti were great. Also the 3 giant meatball and mozzarella stick appetizers were amazing. "I made reservations through OpenTable and everything went smoothly. However, when our group of 8 was seated, they placed us in a booth. One of our guests had a disability, and we had informed the hostess in advance so that we could have a more accessible seating arrangement that wouldn't inconvenience anyone. It didn't make sense for us to be placed in a booth."

"We spent almost $300 the other day and I was SO disappointed and pretty upset. We needed dinner fast and triedBucas for the first time in a long time. It was TERRIBLE. How food can be that tasteless is beyond me. The Italian Broccoli Romano was BLAND...how w Romano cheese on it idk but the tray was full of water at the bottom and it was barely edible. Like it was blanched and thrown in the tray spri with Romano. The Shrimp Fra Diavolo was disgusting. The shrimp were boiled and again tasteless. Its like salt was banned or something. There was absolutely NO seasoning at all. The entire dish tasted like boiled plain pasta w some kind of watery pink juice thstwas supposed to be sauce apparently. The Spaghetti with Meatballs had barely any sauce. At close to $40 for an entree id expect more then boiled pasta and two meatballs and naked pasta. Again, this tray too was filled about a quarter deep but not with marinara....it was water. Like the pasta wasnt drained completely. We ordered cheesygarlic bread and that too was almost inedible. The cheese actually tasted off almostor we were given sone old stale bread. It was very hard and again, no flavor, it just tasted old. Oh Iforgot the Fettuccine Alfredo. That was basically a tray of pasta swimming in its water w sprinkles of parmes cheese. My son is autistic and LOVES fettuccini. Sadly he wouldnt eat it. So another tray of food gone to waste. This was our monthly big treat and since it was also his late birthday celebration I thought we would splurge and get him his favorite food. I ended up having to cook anyway smh If it was possible to give zero stars I would. How they are in business is beyond me. Save your money because as unpalatable as chef boy rdee is it actually is a step up from this place. Worst Italian restaurant ever imo"

"We loved the dinner especially the truffle garlic bread. Salads and entree's were excellent also (lasagnae, eggplant parm, shrimp) The reason for the low rating the air conditioning system was malfunctioning. We were told it had to be on full blast or completely turned off. They decided to go full blast and it was probably degrees in the restaurant. In addition, my husband was seated under a ceiling vent which started dripping water on him. We asked to be moved to another location (warmer, with no dripping) and the waiter did move us. However second location was still ice cold. We ate our meal, periodically rubbing our hands together for warmth. Rushed through the food and on our way out of the restaurant went thru the bar area ... which was toasty warm. Would have really loved to have been moved to the bar area when we complained about the freezing cold. Will we go back? Yes (for the food). Will we sit in freezing cold again (NOPE). Hope they get the air conditioning situation resolved. I would recommend Buca only after air conditioning problem is fixed."

"Great food.. Horrible customer service. We went in with a party of 12 for a birthday party. Our waiter Sean was rude and snarky to us all evening. When it came time to pay the tab he mistakenly put it all on one. "Second time coming here. Was blown away the first time by the great food. This time was WAY different. The food was fine. It seemed like it was less quality this time. The prices were OUTRAGEOUS! I like eating at nice places (and hole in the walls) and I am willing to pay for great food but this is just not up to par. 24 for a bruschetta appetizer. Yes, it was big and extravagant looking but absolutely not worth that price. 37 for 3 thin chicken breasts with capers, prosciutto, and butter sauce! The chicken carbonara was decent, but it had maybe half of a chicken breast on it. The atmosphere is fun and there were 3 birthday celebrations while we were there. Honestly, I won't be back solely because the prices went up and the quality went down. Olive Garden would have been a better choice."
