"Service and atmosphere ambience were great. It’s a great place to meet and talk since it’s a spacious place for indoors and outdoors. It just the food was lacking of the authenticity in term of the taste. Too fusion maybe ? Presentation was great tho. We ordered 3 items, we couldn’t finish one and took it home. We didn’t take the picture of that one roll. Their menu was massive, a bit confusing for a first timer. I have to say for the price, I expect more authentic Japanese flavor, and didn’t find it here."

"I started with the vegan ginger salad, which was delicious, and my boyfriend and I shared the vegan spicy edamame, which we would definitely order again. For our main course, we split the vegan avocado maki and vegan zen maki, both of which were very tasty. I opted for the mapo tofu as my entree and loved it. The sauce had a nice savory and spicy flavor without being overpowering. My boyfriend ordered the vegetarian wild mushroom ramen and enjoyed it, but had to bring half of it home because the portion was so generous. Overall, we would definitely return to this restaurant and I look forward to trying another vegan entree next time!"

"The second issue was the value of the food. I believe in the saying "you get what you pay for," but I found everything on the menu to be overpriced and served à la carte. I was shocked when my $70 lamb chops arrived as just four small bones. I left feeling quite hungry. The sides we ordered were mediocre at best and there were limited choices. My third strike came when I ordered two shots of Hennessy, only to receive them mixed with water. If I wanted watered-down $40 shots, I would have gone elsewhere. The only redeeming quality of this restaurant was the music selection."

"We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a new favorite Thai place, and this charming little spot exceeded our expectations! We've decided to make it our go-to restaurant. To start, the service was outstanding. More importantly, the food was flavorful and satisfying, with just the right level of spice that kept us wanting more. Each bite of the green curry took me straight to Bangkok, and the pad Thai sauce was bursting with flavor. The owner is also the chef, and it’s evident in the attention she pays to every dish. I only wish we had discovered this gem sooner!"

"Have been here several times for the Shanghai menu but honestly might not be coming back in a while. The food is rather authentic and so it really helps to come here when I miss my hometown flavors terribly. The menu carries lots of traditional and “real” dishes which is what we love and crave for. However, lately the quality has been inconsistent. The fish 熏鱼 and the pork 红烧肉 are both soft and tender one day, but hard and over-cooked the next. Soups can be super bland one day and way too salty on another. We have tried to put in notes when ordering (e.g,. Less spicy/salty) but felt that they were never honored. Overall, it feels a bit “try your luck” each time. The other thing is that sometimes when you order ahead the person who answers the Wechat messages can be a bit rude… finally, it can get a bit pricy if ordering seafood (crabs especially) and from the Shanghai menu only. We’ve been here 5+ times and it’s always been $200 or more for 4 people. In short, I truly have mixed feelings for this place and wish that the quality can be more consistent. If that can be achieved we’d be more than happy to make this place the go-to for every occasion."

"I have not eaten at the restaurant, but I have ordered takeout from there. The food is incredibly tasty, with large portions of fresh and authentic dishes. From the soup to the entrees, everything was fantastic. I would rate the meal as dinner, with an estimated price per person ranging from $50 to $100. The food and service both receive a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Pork Fried Rice, Green Curry with Chicken, Soup, and Sweet Sour Chicken."

"This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I really enjoyed it. I ordered the spicy chicken Lo Mein and it was delicious. It had a good level of spice that made my nose run a bit, but it wasn't overpowering. We also shared a well-made and delicious California roll. My lunch partner had the chicken fried rice, which was also tasty, but could have used a bit more sauce to add flavor to the rice. Finally, we had the Rangoon, one of my favorite items, and it did not disappoint."

"We have eaten at Nhinja Sushi several times. They really have great food and great service. Their menu might be sort in the items dept, but I will attest that you will not walk away hungry. And your taste buds very satisfied. All of their dishes have a very nice fresh quality about them. Not like most of the other Asian restaurants you might frequent. "I should preface each of my comments in this review with '... for the price.' The food was decent, considering the price. The selection was average, considering the price. You get the idea. The rice wasn't the best, and the buffet was quite basic, but you won't find better Asian food for a lower price in the university area. Additionally, you won't leave Bento's feeling hungry as the portions are generous, and the buffet offers unlimited servings. If the prices were any higher, I would give it three stars, but it truly is a good deal for less than ten dollars per person. The staff has always been attentive, and I've enjoyed spending time with friends at the sushi bar. My girlfriend is more selective about Asian cuisine, but Bento is a good option if you're not seeking a fancy dining experience."

"When I arrived home about 15 minutes later and opened the boxes, I was disappointed to find only 7-8 prawns with just a few pieces of pepper and onion; the container was barely one-third full. The taste was not good at all, and the dish seemed overly greasy. The Mushroom Chicken had a reasonable portion size, but it was mostly mushrooms with very little chicken, and it was overloaded with soy sauce, giving it an unpleasant smell and taste. The appearance was also quite different from what was shown in the pictures. Overall, if you are looking for fresh, quality Chinese food, this is not the place to go. I do not recommend it and will not be returning."

"Singapore Noodles! I’ve only visited this restaurant once, but I came specifically to sample the Singapore Noodles, and they were amazing! This dish isn’t commonly found in San Antonio, as it’s more prevalent in the northern regions of the U.S. The restaurant itself is of medium size and offers a separate lunch special menu. The service was great, and the prices were very reasonable. If you enjoy Singapore Noodles, you definitely need to check out the Spicy Ginger Asian Cafe. Just a heads up—they're closed on Mondays."

"On the outside, you will see homeless people and chaos but trust me, this is some good affordable Chinese food that is really filling and delicious! They give you big generous portions which is always my favorite kind of place. Doesn't seem too clean on the inside but that's the best kind of Chinese food spot if you ask me. I did not get sick from eating here despite the surroundings of the restaurant and the smell of pee before you walk in. Go for the food, not the atmosphere!"

"Seeing as my wife has got us on this new plant-based diet, I decided to give this place a try. This review is primarily based on a pickup order and not dining in. Location Aesthetics located at the crossroads of N Dysart and W Camelback Road, behind Barro's Pizza, and all the way (at the end) to the left of Basha's supermarket. The restaurant had good signage and couldn't be missed. Exterior of the restaurant was very clean with plenty of available outdoor seating options and lots of available parking as well. Interior was clean and spacious with seating indoors as well. Very well lit and quiet. Service as I entered, I was greeted by staff with warm welcomes and smiles. They were very pleasant, professional, and courteous. Thankfully I didn't have any questions as I had already placed my order online, but judging by how great the food was, I will be back and I will have questions on some of their other menu items seeing as this diet is new to me. Wait time for my food order was minimal as it was already prepared and for the time of pickup and waiting for me. Menu menu was available via their website and was very descriptive with the menu items. There were also available menus in the restaurant as well. Food I ordered the Mongolian Wonder which consisted of BBQ non- GMO beef-less protein, green onion, yellow onion, red bell pepper and ginger sautéed in homemade sauces, flavored with sesame oil. Portion size was good with lots of each ingredients. I didn't find any ingredient lacking. Ingredients were fresh and very tasty/delicious. Nothing was too dry or burnt, and there was a bit of sesame oil sauce at the bottom of the container (nothing to drown the ingredients but enough of it to keep everything moist). Even the container was biodegradable! The beef-less protein, to my amazement, looked and tasted just like beef. I couldn't tell the difference. The entire dish wasn't too oily or greasy either. Prices weren't bad in my opinion especially with the portion sizes provided. Definitely recommend and I would certainly be back to try some of their other interesting menu items.
