"It is highly unlikely that the positive reviews for this restaurant are genuine. Our dining experience here was by far the worst I can remember. The waitress got three out of four meals wrong and then argued with us about our order. The food was mediocre at best. I was served a cold cheese enchilada (see picture) with unmelted cheese. The manager even tried to convince me that they intentionally serve their enchiladas with a cold filling, which is absurd. To top it off, we were charged for fountain drinks with our kids' meals, despite them being advertised as free. After complaining, the manager removed the cost of my meal and another incorrect meal. However, the shocker came when he tipped the waitress forty percent before giving us our bills. Upon closer inspection, it was apparent that he had added a $20 tip to each of our $50 checks, even though we had split the bill evenly. My friend's receipt also showed the same percentage tip added to each item."

"Every time we order Takeout or Dine, we have an excellent experience, BEST INDIAN food available nearby! Perfect combination of quality and quantity. This place is great! Atmosphere is cold and authentic Indian the staff is also really friendly. They always take care of their customers and infact they also remember the preferences of customers! Customer satisfaction is their main priority. Food is quite awesome, some of the best Punjabi Indian food in the area or I dare say in New Jersey, and for their prices it is worth 100%."

"We've been there for years. We enjoyed our visit last Thursday and the food was excellent! We were on the terrace, but the music was so loud that we couldn't hear. We had to ask three times before the music was finally turned off. There was also a group of young mothers with all their children. The children walked all over the terrace while the mothers eat and drank margaritas. They ignored their screaming children basically for hours and ruined the evening for all of us on the terrace. We asked them to let their children sit with them, but they told us rudely not to tell them how to make parents. I know people like these expect everyone else to open up with them and I'm not sure what the restaurant staff could have done, but it was certainly frustrating. We raised four of our own children, and they would never have allowed others to interfere in a public place. God bless these little ones without role models to teach them how to behave and treat others with respect."

"My partner and I visit this restaurant about twice a month because their food is really good and authentic style Mexican food. They are the only place I have found that can make good Caldo de Rez. Their Caldo de Camarones is very good also. Their standard fare like enchiladas, tacos, and burritos is good but not exceptional so we usually stick with certain favorites. Their service is usually very good although they get busy at lunch times on the weekends. I can understand not serving a party of six showing up at 25 minutes before close, anyone who has worked in a restaurant knows that is not a nice thing to do as this would mean the employees who have worked a long day will need to stay for an extra hour because someone did not plan their evening better. And, I don't work here or know the owner, this is just common courtesy and common sense to not show up when a restaurant is trying to close with a large party. Plenty of places don't have the price of drinks on their menus and I usually take this to mean that the drinks are overpriced. I see plenty of folks enjoying their margaritas here though and import beers, which I have enjoyed and think are fairly priced. Their seafood is always fresh here and if you like it, try their cerviche. Their homemade salsa also cannot be beat. I am not the biggest fan of the steaks or fajitas but if you want meat, I would recommend the Carne Adobada, you are in for a treat. They also have some tasty vegetarian and/or healthy options I have not found other places."

"I understand that staffing restaurants can be tough, but the management should ensure that employees are trained to provide excellent service to encourage repeat customers. I am disappointed with the declining food quality and the unsatisfactory service at Anamia's Tex Mex McKinney. My salad was served without any dressing, and our waiter failed to check on us throughout the meal. I had to ask another waitress for dressing, but it never arrived. Eventually, our server brought it out after we had already started eating, as we had to leave for an event. There was no apology for the inconvenience. I don't appreciate having to track down items I need while dining out. It was not even a busy time—we visited at 5:30."

"My family and I stopped in tonight for a quick dinner. We called in advance to make sure they could accommodate a party of 6. It’s a Monday night but still felt we better check. I called and was told we could be seated right away. We were at the restaurant within 10 minutes of calling and we were sat immediately. We placed our drink order and that’s when it started to turn. 14 minutes it took to get water, tea and 2 glasses of wine. After our server dropped off the drinks we ordered a bowl of queso. 10 minutes it took for it to be dropped off which wasn’t bad but it took 10 more to get chips to eat the queso with so as you can imagine, it was ice cold when we got it. We asked for refills that never came. 24 minutes later we finally got to place our food order. The food came out fairly quickly. When it was delivered, we asked for those refills we had never gotten. Yet they never came, we had NO drinks for our meal and no wine that we had ordered.We finished our food and waited 26 minutes with no server and so I went to the hostess stand to request a manager. 14 minutes it took the manager to come to the table after requested. When he did he basically said nothing just stood at the table and looked at me. I explained that I wanted to let him know that we had awful service, maybe he needed to train his other employees to help if they see tables needing things, maybe refill drinks or pre-bus tables. Still said not a word until I said “ we’ll do you have anything to say maybe “sorry you had bad service “ or “we will try to do better” instead he ran my card for the full amount and said have a great night. The server finally came by at the very end to let me know she has just started and was also the bartender and said “ I don’t know”.The part that made me very upset is the manager not being able to properly handle a complaint. As someone that has previously trained employees in the customer service field and now Corp America, I was blown away at the lack of care and lack of trying to make it right! Maybe an apology. I didn’t ask for free food and didn’t expect it, I just wanted the manager to know what went wrong and try and fix it for the reputation of the restaurant.With so many “Mexican food” options on every corner you can’t really give bad service and have a lack of care before it catches up. We won’t be back as there are too many great places around!"

"My wife and I explained our situation, emphasizing our baby’s need for dinner. If it was going to take longer than 30 minutes, we were willing to leave and return another time—this wasn’t an issue for us. However, multiple staff members at the hostess stand assured us it would be a maximum of 15 minutes before we were seated, so we decided to wait. This is where our frustration lies. After waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes, we had to leave to get our daughter home, fed, and ready for bed. When I informed the hostess that we needed to leave, she told me there were still four other tables in front of us. My frustration isn’t just about the reservation issue—it's the feeling of being misled. As new parents, it's challenging enough to take our baby out for a nice evening without facing these additional hurdles from a restaurant. Had we been informed honestly from the start, we would have been disappointed but would have understood and returned another evening. Unfortunately, now we won't be coming back. It’s no wonder so many restaurants are closing; young professionals today aren't willing to spend their hard-earned money at places that disregard the customer experience."

"I had the worst experience I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The house margarita cost $20 for a 32 oz, and it had very little alcohol in it. When I asked the servers about the high price, they were dismissive and simply said that it was the price. To make matters worse, the prices aren’t listed on the menu, so you only find out how much things cost when you receive the check. The food was also very overpriced, mediocre, and underwhelming in portion size. I strongly advise against going here; you will be disappointed! If you value your time and money, steer clear of this place! I wish I could give it zero stars!"

"I had an amazing time at this restaurant. The ambiance was lively and delightful. The service was top-notch, though it's apparent they are still refining a few aspects. The drink menu is still developing, but the Robeco Margarita was the best I've ever had, making it worth the price. Our meals were made with fresh ingredients, and I especially loved the spinach enchiladas—they were incredibly fresh and tasty. As we left, we were warmly greeted by at least five staff members, which really highlights their commitment to service. We will definitely be back!"

"The Birria Tacos were incredible—generous portions and full of flavor. The Fajitas Vallarta were fantastic as well. "We were weary of crowds after fighting our way through the German Festival, when we stumbled upon this location. When I lived in SF, I always ate Paxti's pizza, and I was very excited to see that they serve deep dish pizzas. We went in and were told that it would be a 20 minute wait as a soccer team had just left and absolutely thrashed the place. This was fine, with me, so I milled around outside and reviewed the menu. After about 20 minutes, I had decided that I wanted to order about 5 different pizzas. Of course, this wouldn't be practical for a family of 6, so we decided on the garlic bread and a Chicago chopped with red chili flakes (for the littles). The garlic bread came out fairly quickly and I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation. I was very happy to see the piles of fresh basil in top of the perfect slices of bread. Each bite was crisp and refreshing without have the kick that fresh garlic can have. The marinara sauce was top notch! Fresh with wonderfully juicy chunks of ripe tomatoes. When the pizza came out, I immediately checked the bottom of it. I've been to many deep dish restaurants and the bottom of the crust is usually soggy. This one was crisp and nicely covered with cornmeal. It was piping hot, stodgy and did not buckle under the weight of the toppings. I used a knife and fork to eat it, but I could have easily used my hands. With each bite you could taste the care and love that went into making the pizza. I would come back multiple time a week if I lived in the area and I definitely want to try the rest of the menu. Sorry Paxti's. I have a new favorite!"

"this place is so cozy and cute in and the food and desserts looked delicious. I ordered a piece of rich chocolate cake, a tiramisu cup, and two beef-emanadas, which empanadas smells really good, but hardly had anything in them, and the tiramisu had cups, how mold in it saw. I tried to take a bit on the chocolate cake, but the pointed looked like it was old chocolate and bc I saw the shape on the tiramisu, I didn't want to take any chances. I couldn't enjoy the food I bought and was a bit disappointed."
