"Hey ?good looking?! The perfect translation for this wonderful restaurant?s name. How you doing? I finally hit the gold mine as far as Mexican food is concerned. First impression was the salsa and chips. The salsa was so distinctive in its explosive flavors. Wow! The fried calamari and nacho platter were excellent. The calamari melts in your mouth. The nachos were the best I have ever had in my lifetime. I grew up in Istanbul and love street food. To my surprise, the rare delicacy beef tongue tacos were offered. I hit the jackpot! The pork tamales were cooked to perfection. I requested some spicy salsas and was pleasantly surprised when I received the real thing instead of Tabasco. The kitchen here is so professional from the chef to the dishwasher. The Mexican spices were so flavorsome they balanced the taste of our main dishes. Our food arrived nice and hot. Everything was spotless. From the hostess to the waitress and the rest of the dining room staff, they were polite and attentive without being intrusive. We were there on a Monday night and the restaurant was hopping. Our waitress, Diana, and her assistant were on target. All our needs were met great food and fantastic service. Olé!"

"I was referred to this restaurant after another place in Houston canceled our order just three weeks before Cinco de Mayo, which coincided with teacher appreciation week (shame on you, Tacos a Go Go Go Go). Thankfully, Hector's Mexican Restaurant came to our rescue! They were able to meet our budget and schedule, as we are a small school. Everything was fresh, and even the chips were warm! Everyone enjoyed the food, and it was even better than what we had originally planned to order. Working with this family-owned restaurant was a delight; they truly turned a stressful situation into a wonderful experience. We will certainly be ordering from them again for our school in the future. I can't emphasize enough the family-friendly atmosphere and the freshness of the food. What a blessing!"

"For the most part I stick to my usual tacos and fajitas but today I decided to try the potato soup. It is the worst soup I've tried in my short life spam, it had thickened at the top and was over all looking unappealing. A truly gross sight to look at. I've been greatly loyal to this restaurant but I think this time has been the last. Also the waiter clearly did not know what he was doing. Attached is a sad disappointment."

"This has been my go to place for Mexican food. But today I ordered carnitas burrito which is one of my favorites. It came out with hardly no meat. So I told the manager he said he would have then make another. Then it came out with more meat but fatty. And none of the other things like avacodo cilantro. Maybe they misunderstood what Iwanted. But the waitress acted like it was nothing wrong. I could see her attitude. She did not like me complaining. THEN she made a rush to the register to make sure I was leaving a tip. Stood there and watched over me signing my reciept. Very poor customer service."

"I've been here for about a year after they opened up. this is my favorite place to eat outside my house. that eat exceeds my expectations and is affordable enough that my family can eat here weekly also with current economics. when we come here, we feel cared for by the personal. enough that if we see changes in the personal who are no longer there, we miss and always ask if they have gone better to a place and we try to build a rapport with the new employees. we come here for regular meal times and we also celebrate here. I have been helping with a review for years, but I am very glad that hacienda has survived in the last few years. I usually come here with my family that my family is straight from the city to visit more distant related, and although I came from myself and our preferred waiter was not here other members of the staff recognized me and immediately asked where my family was. for me this personal connection is worth a lot. this is the right combination of quality-quantity economy and service."

"Went for Brunch buffet the Sunday before Christmas. Very busy and kitchen had a hard time keeping up but that was to be expected. When food made it to the line it was terrific and hot, just gone in 30 seconds. Our party of 10 had probably the best service I have ever had including the Savoy in London. The problem was a party of about 25 next to us who obviously had enjoyed the free Mimosas but we got through it and enjoyed the blissful quiet after they left. I would recommend it, but perhaps not for a largish party."

"We were a large group who called ahead to make a reservation at Los Jalapeno. When we arrived, everything was ready and the staff was very attentive. The food was excellent, the service went above and beyond, and the atmosphere was perfect for enjoying our Mexican meal. We are from Arizona where there are many great restaurants, but we had an excellent experience at Los Jalapeno. There was plenty of parking available as well."

"Short story: Food was really good, wait staff was good. My drink was not and the manager was rude to me. I won 't be back. Longer story: This was one of the first times I 've ever ordered a mixed drink at a restaurant. I saw raspberry mojito on the Specials white board at the entrance and envisioned a few fresh raspberries mashed up with the mint leaves. Sounded good. The raspberry flavor turned out to be from syrup and I could not finish even half of my $10.50 drink. I mentioned it to the nice gentlemen up front as I was leaving, who told me he thought he could help. A lady came back and asked me what was wrong, but did not tell me she was the manager right away. I didn 't know who she was, but explained my drink situation, and she described why she could not use fresh berries. Okay, that made sense. But....there was no apology, not even I 'm sorry you did not enjoy your drink and certainly no Let me see your bill and I 'll put $5 back on your card. Any of these options would have made me feel better about our dinner there. What did she say? That I should have told my waiter right away when I was asked how everything was. Total implication was that it was my fault and therefore my problem. Then she walked away. Okay. I won 't be back. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5"

"Sat down at the bar and in a blink I was served chips with the best refried beans I have ever had. Perfectly salted. I hadn't even ordered yet and I was impressed. Gloria's Margarita is a slush in a pint glass with a good amount of tequila and it came out before I had my next chip. The mains are also incredible. The vibe was also very fun and made you feel like a dance floor was about to be opened up at any minute. To top it all off the prices were very reasonable. My first experience and it won't be my last."

"I always come to this location because it has the best atmosphere. The live music performed by Omega, the couple that sings on Thursdays and Saturdays, is amazing. "Rico's is truly a hidden gem. A friend recommended it for lunch, and I had no idea it was even there. The patio features a charming, secluded area for dining. We chose to visit for a late lunch, which meant it wasn't crowded, and the weather was simply beautiful. The staff was friendly, and our food arrived exceptionally quickly. I ordered the house lime margarita on the rocks alongside the cowboy burrito. To my surprise, there were hot dogs sliced into the burrito. I was a bit hesitant since I didn't recall that detail in the description, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. Without a doubt, it was one of the best burritos I've had in ages! It was packed with flavor, and the mix of meats, rice, beans, pico, and queso was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return and try more items from the menu!"

"Decent little spot with a pretty nice menu. The staff is friendly, and helpful. You start off with free chips and salsa which is always a plus, only thing is I wish the chips were served warm. Me and my husband decided to try the steak nachos, they come with the beans, meat, and cheese already cooked on top the chip. Which I don't mind, but I think the dish would be better and more worthwhile if the ingredients came as a dip or individual for you to put on top chips served on the side, but still tasty. For our entrees we chose the enchiladas. I picked the shrimp, and my husband got the seafood. I really enjoyed the flavor of the shrimp and cheese sauce, I wasn't a fan of the amount of spinach they used and how it wasn't quite sauteed enough, and the cream cheese was rather room temp. Also if you are selling a dish with seafood it should have more seafood in it than veggies, which was also the case for my husband's dish. More mushrooms than seafood. All in all good flavor, just think they should cook to order and not use the warmer to get dishes hot. At 20 dollars a dish , take the time to do more cooking it will be well worth the customers experience. The margarita was excellent ??"

"Wow, me and my coworker came on our Lunch break for the lunch special (ends at 3PM). I ordered the chicken fajitas, and my coworker got the shrimp and scallop chimichanga especial. We both really really enjoyed our food. It was a great price and a great portion. It also came with chips and salsa which surprised me and made me so happy because I was gonna order some separate. I definitely feel like the chicken fajitas was a great choice if you’re trying to have a balanced healthy meal. It had a healthy portion of sour cream and guac and left me really satisfied but not feeling guilty. My coworker told me to tell everyone he really enjoyed too and was debating going back for more to save for later lol. 10/10 recommend!"

"if I could give negative stars, I would. maggie the manager in this business is unprofessional. I had a purchase on the website (which is filled with bugs) and did not receive a confirmation email. we were personally to take care of the complaint. I checked my bank account and charged twice. maggie was ashamed that it wasn't her fault and tried to explain to me bank proceedings as if I was a child. I called today, and she didn't want to reimburse me for my purchase and even called me a lousy. if she was the least competent with her financials, she would see a pending transaction on her Wix account that would show the double fee. but she can't take care of it. this would not be a problem if their website actually worked and not back error messages. this will be the last time I eat from this place to buy, and anyone who does transactions about their website should be careful."
