"We had a drink here after a show at Carnegie Hall. It’s a very lovely hotel and the bar is very comfortable. The drinks were pricey but delicious. That said, the hard surface bar area was noisy because of the background music. It was difficult for us to have a conversation. We had a lot to talk about as we had just seen a concert! What a shame that such a beautiful bar is clueless about their acoustics and the comfort of their customers. We won’t be back."

"Let me start by saying the food is fantastic. Not too heavy or fancy/. Too often at a high end restaurant you walk away feeling like you overate, but here the food is well-balanced and flavorful, and, most importantly memorable. My main issue is with the way the tables are setup. In the back, the shared table space ruins the experience. Diners are not warned that they’ll be sitting with strangers sitting so close you are basically dinner guests sharing in the same conversation. My wife, sitting across from me, couldn’t hear most anything I said was in direct earshot of our neighbor. Granted, this made for interesting gossip after dinner but wasn’t what I had in mind for our date. We also had to wait far too long for our “table” and the bar was full, meaning we were standing awkwardly sandwiched between the bar and brick wall while waiters passed through. Would go again but insist on a regular table."

"Very cool spot. We went in August and there is no air conditioning inside. It was extremely hot, but we sat upstairs on the patio outside and it was a little better. Service was great. Loved the food, except for the salmon. It was cooked almost medium rare, which it how it was supposed to be, but just not used to that when ordering salmon. Would have preferred it well done. Was disappointed one of the cocktails we wanted was sold out, but the others we tried instead were great. It is very pricey, but overall worth it for a special occasion. Recommend reservations as they were extremely busy."

"My boyfriend and I first visited Taphouse 15 years ago for our first anniversary and were amazed by the food and service. Our waiter was one of the friendliest we've ever encountered! We have been back a few times since and on our last visit, I ordered the NY Strip which was cooked perfectly to a beautiful medium rare, juicy, tender and lean with hardly any fat. The seasoning on the steak was just right! I dislike restaurants that skimp on seasoning, especially for a steak which needs plenty. Taphouse did not hold back and delivered a delicious dish. Even the fries were seasoned perfectly! My boyfriend ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it too was seasoned to perfection. We sat near the bar and were pleased that the noise level was not overwhelming. We are already planning our next visit and would recommend Taphouse 15 to anyone in search of a great meal for a date night, family outing, or a satisfying bite to eat on a whim!"

"After giving us only the options of 7:15 or 7:45, not 7:30 as we wanted. When we arrived for our 7:15 reservation they kept us waiting half an hour. Although they were apologetic, they did not offer us a free after dinner coffee or any other sort of tangible apology. That kind of service does not encourage a return visit. The rest of the service was good, other than the waiter trying to suggest the Dom Perignon Champagne for $350 (he didn't tell us the price)."

"It had been a while since I last visited Meridian and it was great. I was there for my sister in law's birthday celebration. It was not busy, which surprised me, but the restaurant had hand sanitizer on every table and parties were placed sufficiently away from each other. The food was good. I had the Duck Confit Mac Cheese. The duck on its own was a bit salty for my taste, but mixed with the Mac Cheese, was a perfect blend. My sister in law had the fish tacos, which looked delicious and she said they were! Salads were good as always, and dessert in my opinion, is always the best part of any meal. We ended with the birthday meringue, the donuts, and the everything cookie. A great birthday meal"

"Dont walk RUN!! I'm not sure how much longest those igloos are going to be set up but it is the most fun I think I have ever had. It was PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could not begin the put into words how special they are with the waves beating beneath us and the champagne pouring in front of us. Very special night and it was a very special place to celebrate. They spoiled us in every way. RUN!"

"WOW. we went to Tuscarora today, October 15. 2023 for the AUCE brunch. Haven't been for ages. What a delightful experience. Delicious is an understatement. The carved roast beef, asparagus, mushrooms. Pasta salad, deviled eggs, and the pineapple carrot cake were fabulous. Our waiter Randy was excellent also. We will be back. "Two mamas with two infants (4 months and 6 months old), it was nice to be the furthest booth from the live music. It was my fault for not knowing there was going to be live music, but that's alright. The food was great (as always). Our server was very nice and admitted it was his fault when the fries (that we ordered as an appetizer) didn't come until after our food, once I asked where they were. It was nice of him to give us those for free. Overall, a great (but loud) night!"

"The two cocktails we enjoyed were delicious. We had the shrimp appetizer. The remoulade they were served on was good, but I think they would've benefited from a glaze instead. Still, they were delicious. The Pork Schnitzel was very good. The entire platter complimented each piece; the salad, the cranberry chutney, and the mashed potatoes. The Pork Medallions wrapped in bacon with mashed potatoes were very tasty. The best part was the desserts! The bread pudding and chocolate with Hazelnuts! Yummy!"

"Will start by saying the beers here are excellent. Great place to stop if you're looking for beer. Combine that with the location, size, and restored industrial interior, and it's easy to see this spot becoming a DC institution.But what's holding them back right now is the food. Much of the menu looks really great on paper, but the execution feels off. Everything tastes bland/unsalted and pedestrian. They had a great chef/team a few years ago but it feels like something changed recently and things are starting to fall downhill. I'm writing this review with the sincere hope they can get back to the exciting food they had a couple years ago."

"My family and a few of my friends came to Stable DC last weekend to celebrate a graduation from grad school turned out to be a perfect choice! We made a brunch reservation at 10:30 and elected to sit inside in one of their chalets. These little enclosed compartments were apparently a COVID addition, but I hope they keep them forever so cute, perfect for small groups, great for more privacy and quiet. Between the six of us, we ordered most of the brunch menu (sadly, no fondue this time at least and every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our picks! Some standouts included the eggs Benedict (my mom said they were probably the best eggs Benedict she 'd ever had at a restaurant , the smoked salmon (so fresh and delicious , and the Berner Rosti (potatoes, bacon, and cheese need I say more?? When the food came out, none of it looked like a large portion, but everything was so filling that all of us were stuffed after (especially since we had also polished off a bread basket before, haha! Service was great (so friendly and they even brought two little jelly donuts for me and my friend who had graduated the day before. So sweet! Overall, everything was so delicious that my dad said he would give it 6 stars if he could!"

"My husband treated me to dinner for my birthday tonight. We were super psyched to try The Cabin as we had heard good things about it. Too bad we were disappointed. This is a family restaurant with lots of young kids so not ideal for a quiet romantic meal. The food was great for the appetizer course. Hubby had the seafood Zuppa which was delish, I had the scallops which were cooked to perfection. Then it was all downhill from there. The entrees took 45 minutes to come out-I ordered the tenderloin medium rare, hubby ordered the lamb, medium well. My tenderloin was ice cold in the middle and inedible. After flagging down our server (Alexandra), she was very apologetic and took it back to heat up. After another 30 minutes it finally came but by then I was over it and not hungry any more so I just asked for the desert menu hoping to get my favourite creme brûlée, which was on their online menu but to my disappointment it was not on the menu tonight. My husband asked if they had it and Alexandra explained that they had it in the restaurant downstairs and she could have one brought up for me. I said if it was going to take long not to bother as we had already been there for over 2 hours and had had enough of a wait. She promised it would not take long so I was appreciative that she would go the extra mile to try to make things right. Well another 30 minutes go by during which time I see my special order desert with a candle go by- to another table. Finally Alexandra came by to explain my crime brûlée was taken by someone else and they were going to get another one. This was the icing on the cake and we just said thanks but no thanks and called it a night. I’m pretty sure it was just my dumb birthday luck that they couldn’t get it right for us because all the tables around us came and went seemingly without issues. Overall the food was tasty but cold, service was friendly but very slow. Would not chance it again at this place though. Not a great bd dinner for me. Too bad"

"This restaurant is inside a hotel lobby. We arrived for our reservation and asked to be seated outside. It was clear they were busy and the person who seated us was flustered. Our waitress came and asked for a drink order. We ordered drinks and asked for water. A few minutes later she brought the drinks but no water. We saw her one more time reminded her of the water and ordered our food. It never came nor did she. We waited one hour. Very poor service. We notified the gentleman who seated us and he merely said I’m sorry. We left. We were running in a race the next day and had chosen this place for pasta. Very disappointing."

"Ugh, I really wanted to like this place. We went here with my in laws for a nice adults only dinner. The first thing that was frustrating was the cost to park the car. $25 half of what it would be normally just to park at the Ritz. Ugh. We had tried earlier in the day to find out how late the gondola ran so that we could park in the village lots and take the gondola up but we couldn't find anyone that knew the hours or had information at all. I'd suggest that this info should be made part of the reservation process. So once you swallow the $25 parking fee you head inside. It's a beautiful building with wood accents and a large stone fireplace. The ambience was what you'd expect from a nice hotel restaurant. My family will typically drink wine but as the cheapest by the glass was over $40 we decided to forgo beverages. The menu was full of fresh ingredients we started with a caprese salad and hamachi. Both were tasty happy to see heirloom tomatoes in the caprese. Our entrees included gnocchi with meatballs, cauliflower steak and corn soup. Everything served was good though for the price I felt it lacking. I could tell our server was irritated that we didn't order more especially alcohol or dessert. Our booth view faced the courtyard where there was a wedding reception taking place....not quite the beautiful mountainside vista we were hoping for. I always wondered about this spot and now I know we aren't missing something extraordinary....Glad we checked it out but happy to look elsewhere for an upscale dinner in Truckee."

"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better chefs with more than one cooking style who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"This is our new favorite local BYOB spot. We've been twice now. The staff is very warm and friendly and the food is superb. If you like well crafted food and are willing to pay for very interesting tasting, beautifully plated food then this is a great place to go. We've been twice and both times they have been great with dietary restrictions as well. It's charming, casual enough to walk in (if you can get in!) but also a great place to take visiting friends and relatives or for a special night out or date. The Wayne area needed a place like this. We'll keep going back for sure."
