"I absolutely loved my food! I've seen this restaurant many times as it is in the same shopping center as my normal Smiths grocery story. It's tucked away and looks small from the outside, but inside was quite spacious and we were very happy with our meal! We made a reservation for 6 people on a Saturday at 5 pm for my sister's birthday dinner. It didn't seem too busy when we went in. Anytime it's my whole family like that I get a little worried about how servers will handle us because my grandma and mom can be a hoot sometimes (in other words, they can be a lot lol). I can't remember our server's name, but he was great and very nice! Our busser was also so helpful! He brought our drinks, brought our bread, answered questions, really nice guy. The restaurant ambiance was nice, almost intimate. It's really dark in there, though. My mom had to turn the flashlight on her phone to see the menu lol The interior is decorated with large western posters, hence the name of the restaurant. Service was very friendly and very fast! The food was great! You get bread with oil and vinegar at the table. The bread was so warm and soft, and it was interesting having the oil and vinegar separate rather than mixed together. We started with the bruschetta, which was four pieces that were big enough to cut in half for everyone to enjoy. It was piled high with bruschetta and was really tangy and super tasty! We all got different things, but I'm going to focus on the foods that I tried. My husband ordered the cajun pasta, which was a special for the night. It had really large shrimp and a very nice flavor. I was debating between the carbonara and the bobbi, so my sister got the carbonara. I tried hers, and I will definitely be getting it next time! I feel like carbonara can be hit or miss with flavor, and this one was great. Nice and creamy, and the portion was quite big. I got the bobbi with penne and it was sooooo good! It was a vodka sauce with specked prosciutto and sun dried tomatoes. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the prosciutto was cooked! I like prosciutto normally, but cooking it gave it a really smoky taste without it being limp. I absolutely loved it! Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Most of us spent under $20 for our large portions (pasta and pizza). The special my husband got and the chicken dish my brother in law got were between $20 and $30. Overall, I thought it was a nice place with really yummy food in large portions! Anxiety induced questions I had before arriving that may help you: 1. How fancy is this place? You can definitely wear whatever. Because it said fine italian dining, I was worried we would have to dress up. After looking at some review photos of the inside, I could see everyone was really casual. As far as price, I think it's very reasonable for the portions you are getting. 2. Should I make a reservation? For large parties, yes. If it's just a handful of you, then you should be fine. The place wasn't packed or anything when we went at 5pm on a Saturday. 3. Can I look at the menu ahead of time? Food and normal drinks menu, yes. They do have a cocktail menu that is not available online, so if you are the type that needs ample time to look before making a decision, cocktails and alcohol are the only things not mentioned online. 4. Will they split checks? We only needed ours split 2 ways, but they do split checks. Just don't make it anything crazy or complicated, and they will be very nice about it."

"Aug 12, 2023I ordered 2 sausage bakes. I love them since my coworker showed me back in 2015. First, they didn 't know the price and it 's not on the menu anymore, ok fine. $10.99 each for them?!? $24 after taxes?? Ok fine. It took 30 min for them to make it, i have no clue why. Then they said i can get them out if you like it a little doughy.... whut? No. So finally they are ready. They bring out a box that wouldn 't close, ok weird, whatever. I go out to my car and the sausage bakes are not right, so much dough! Why? It used to be like a pig in a blanket. $24 for two, half hour, not made right....idk what 's going on here but....I called and she says she issued a refund since they were still doughy and the cheese melted out. Upon further inspection, there was a sausage and a half in it. Maybe that 's why it was so big. This thing weighs a couple lbs at least....8-22-2023 Edit: Apparently the owner left me a rude reply after not reading my entire review and I 'm guessing canceled the refund they are raving about giving me because the money still has not been put back on my card. Well, at the very least it has been an interesting encounter with this business. I don 't think I trust them to cook this for me nor do I want to buy food from them again. I never did get to eat my food because the cheese melted out blackened, the sausage was dried out the dough was not cooked inside. Even though they told me to pop it back in the oven and it 'll be fine . It was not and would not have been. Lesson learned."

"It's been a while since we last ordered from Osaka. While never top tier it has always been decent and better than most other spots in this general neighborhood. Well, that seems to have changed. We ordered a Sushi Deluxe for two, Chirashi, three Eel Hand Rolls and six pieces of Mackerel Sushi. I kinda got the sense that something was amiss when I was placing the order. I asked for six pieces of Saba Sushi and the girl taking the order had no idea what that was. Rule to self. If an establishment doesn't understand the Japanese or Korean names of the fish it's probably a good idea to order elsewhere. Back to the review. The fish, overall, was completely flavorless, lacked texture and was full of water. I think the fish was improperly thawed. Or, it was thawed, refrozen, and then thawed again. That's a no, no. In addition to lacking flavor and texture it really didn't look appetizing either. The piece sizes were very small. Which is fine given that they were lousy. But if it was good I would have wanted larger pieces. The hand rolls were also very small and not prepared very well at all. Osaka has changed hands several times over the years but the quality and preparation has always been pretty consistent. Unfortunately the current management or ownership has dropped the ball. For what it's worth, I gave two stars because they were polite and the order was well packaged. I doubt that I will return."
