"Five stars for our server, Patrick. Five stars for the view, four stars for food, 5 stars for drinks, zero stars for the hostess who greeted (if you could call it that) seated us in the worst possible table we had an ADVANCE reservation for 4 only ended up having 3 people. Your greeting from your hostess often sets the tone of your restaurant, so this young lady needs some training. It turns out that their regular dining room was closed due to a large party that afternoon. We were there for Sunday Brunch with an 11:30 reservation. After telling us dining room was closed we were told we could sit outside or in pub. Not having been there before we had no idea what that entailed or whether outside would be in sun too hot. There were beautiful umbrella tables on a lawn with water view (preferred due to our reservation), but she sat us at a dirty, rickety high top outside the pub door in shade of roof, no umbrella gave us a regular menu, but no specials or drink menus. So we had no idea that there actually were drink specials, such as bottomless mimosas, and other brunch specials on Sunday as well as other specialty drinks. When our server came, we asked if he would please clean the table because it was filthy and he did so he was slightly confused when after we ordered a beer and my one friend ordered a **** Mary, we later saw people getting bottomless, mimosas, and we asked if that was a thing. He looked at us like we were crazy and then he realized that we did not actually have any of the menus that we were supposed to have which was not his fault it was the fault of the surly hostess. Patrick our server was EXCELLENT. And when I say surly about the hostess, we later saw her take a woman with a walker through the pub, and then, instead of having her go down the ramp, and, pointing her in the correct direction of the ramp, just rolled her eyes, as she headed toward the door and went down to steps with her walker! Ridiculous. But our full English breakfasts were delicious, beer cold fresh they have Old Speckled Hen, rarity in US. Eggs Benedict delish so was **** Mary. The pub section is very cool inside. I feel like other reviews I read did not do the instead of this restaurant justice. It's a non-descript building from the outside. Parking lot can get full tight. But quite nice inside out. We had all traveled to the UK before have UK friends thoroughly enjoyed the vibe, food, drink the gorgeous water views."
