"let me begin by telling myself, colleagues and friends have visited this place some paints and had pleasant experiences, but today was something different. after leaving urban wax I stopped drinking drinks and eating a bite at 7:15. I was the one to come in my party of 2 and ordered a drink while I waited for my guest to come. my server, brought the drink and asked me for a card to open a register card. I asked them when the facility began to demand cards forward because I visited the place and had never been asked to deliver a card before I close my tab. server said that this was the policy of the firma, which has now been severely enforced because people jump out on their bills so I gave my card. my gass came to me at 8 o'clock. when the night went on, I saw intentionally on our server and other server waiting for other customers and not a single time to provide their card in advance. So, I mentioned it my gas and he stopped another server, and asked them what the company was on request of cards before billing, and she said there is no directive that we have to do, it is the server so we thanked her and she went away. She stopped and spoke to whom I believe that the shift manager and our server was, then shortly after she came back to our table and explained that it is our policy, I didn't know that and went away. she had just given another table of patrons her drinks and took her food order, but still did not ask her to deliver a card, even after the affirmation that this is in fact her company policy. if this had been a consistent question of all patrons, or even consistently done with our servers other tables, there would be no problem, but that is not the case. I myself and my hospitable were the only black males I noticed in the outside space, the entire 2.5 hours we were there and the only ones that are asked to put a card in front. as a result, this was an insult and made me feel like I was racist profiled, unjustly targeted and/or a sacrifice of implicit prejudice. whatever is the case, I ask them to educate their employees in these asking to provide a fair and consistent environment for all patrons."

"Our dishes arrived quickly, but they were lukewarm. The sauce was unnaturally thick and lacked any depth of flavor. It was bland, rubbery, and totally devoid of lemon, butter, salt, or even a hint of Tabasco or Worcestershire sauce. It looked like a ghostly, anemic pale yellow goo, hiding numerous flaws underneath. The French bread underneath was soft and not grilled, while the poached eggs, although cooked correctly, were barely above room temperature. The spinach promised on the menu consisted of just two tiny, crumpled bits of green (smaller than a dime) atop the eggs. The thin slice of smoked turkey that covered the bread was still refrigerator cold. The small fruit cup was unremarkable, and the four tiny potato cakes, about the size of silver dollars, were hard and inedible, resembling hockey pucks. One even shot out onto the floor when my wife tried to cut it. The manager came over as we were finishing our “meal” and asked how the food was. After we shared our thoughts, he asked why we didn’t say anything sooner. I replied that we never had the opportunity, and he quickly disappeared, never to return. Our server was friendly and did refill our drinks before the brunch arrived, but she never checked back after the food was served. Obviously, she wasn’t the cook. We do NOT recommend the Eggs Benedict at Dexter's. At $11, it was particularly disappointing. Please consider trying something else. This was our first bad experience at Dexter's, despite having tried nearly half the menu. AVOID the Eggs Benedict at all costs. I'm sorry to say that their version is truly awful."

"A last minute decision to head into town, we decided to try Ambrosia for the first time. It 's in a pretty cool little building, that has the feel of the old Houston home that it used to be. The small, dimly lit dining room offers the chance for a great atmosphere, but uncomfortable metal chairs and bouncing acoustics work against what could be a quiet, romantic vibe. Like the atmosphere, food here aims at eclectic, Asian-inspired dishes but execution and flavor miss the mark just enough to disappoint. From the artwork to the menu, there 's much here that could be great, but it 's just not. A simple iceberg salad was dressed with a serrano vinaigrette so spicy that I couldn 't eat it. Edamame hummus was accompanied by small strips of doughy, flavorless naan- nothing like the crispy-bottom, garlic speckled disk that fantastic naan should be. The shrimp dish was a clear winner of the night, swimming in a tangy, red curry sauce with hints of coconut milk, lime and cumin, it was really delicious, but also a small serving for the price. Fried rice was good, and a giant portion but the dish had a distinct sweetness, like sugar. Course after course, each promised a new chance at greatness, and fell short. We enjoyed exploring the imported wood carvings, 800-year old door and artwork throughout the tiny restaurant, but with so many spots to choose from, i don 't think we 'll be back."

The menu is a carefully curated selection of Greek classics, showcasing the diversity and richness of the country's cuisine. The mezes (appetizers) are a must-try at Ouzo Feta. I started with their signature spanakopita, a flaky pastry filled with spinach and feta cheese. It was heavenly. The tangy and creamy feta perfectly complemented the earthy spinach, resulting in a harmonious blend of flavors. The saganaki, a fried cheese dish, was also exceptional, with its crispy exterior and gooey, melt-in-your-mouth center. For the main course, I opted for the moussaka, a classic Greek dish that is notoriously difficult to perfect. Ouzo Feta's rendition, however, was a revelation. The layers of tender eggplant, seasoned ground beef, and velvety béchamel sauce melded together flawlessly, creating a symphony of flavors that left me craving more.To accompany my meal, I indulged in a glass of Ouzo, the restaurant's namesake drink. The anise-flavored spirit was served traditionally, with a splash of water and ice. Its unique flavor profile paired exquisitely with the cuisine, providing a refreshing and authentic Greek experience. As a sweet ending to my culinary adventure, I tried the baklava.
