"While we were in this situation, another patron approached with a pager, returned it to the hostess, and said, "We’re tired of waiting, we’re leaving." The hostess then told us, "Okay, I can seat you now." It was unclear why our reservation suddenly mattered, but we were relieved to finally get a table. Our server was pleasant but struggled with basic tasks, such as refilling our water and Diet Cokes. We ordered two appetizers, which arrived in a reasonable time, but my tomato basil soup tasted like watered-down marinara. My wife's lobster bisque was so diluted it resembled broth. Meanwhile, my daughter had requested her dressing on the side for her salad, but it came drenched in dressing. During our meal, we witnessed the shocking behavior of a waiter who was verbally reprimanding a customer at the booth next to us. The customer was simply trying to get his server's attention, and instead, the waiter chastised him for being rude, insisting he should never do that again. This went on for 2-3 minutes, and it was appalling to hear such disrespect directed at an elderly man. We waited over an hour for our entrees. Eventually, we instructed our server to have the meals packaged to go. We ordered mahi and salmon, but when we got home, we found both were overcooked. The mahi had the texture of dry turkey breast, and the same went for the salmon. Throughout this ordeal, no manager ever came to check on us. We will not be returning."

"I love the premise of this place and think they 're doing a great thing. However, we 've had really only sub par or negative experiences here. Between slow service time, disappointing drinks, an overpriced menu, and servers being rude, it just hasn 'tbeen great. When we came the first time, we decided that we must have caught them on an off day. But that doesn 't seem to be thecase. Today my husband and I came in for Brunch to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I ordered the red pepper Benedict, after waiting almost an hour, they brought the plate out abs the eggs were completely cooked through. I was like that 'sdiscounting, but oh well . I took a bite Ave the rubber texture was horrible. So I flagged April, our server, down and told her.She got kinda mad and it made me feel terrible. It wasn 't my fault that the eggs were wrong. She was rude the rest of the timewe interacted with her. Luckily we didn 't interact much since she left us hanging before the eggs were sent back and all butignored us after. The eggs they brought back were over cooked, too, but I was too nervous to let anyone know. How do you mess uppoached eggs twice like that? To make it things even worse, they didn 't refund us the meal that they messed up twice. They took40% off the Benedict. We got there right around noon and left at 2:30, so the service was bad and very slow. April was beingopenly rude to us at the end and was all but throwing things on the table. It made me incredibly anxious and I wanted to leaveas soon as we could. I really wanted to like this place. I really did. I love their cause and the idea is great, it 's just beenpoorly executed. All that to say we won 't be back, two chances is enough."

"I forget what day of the week it was but, based on the glowing reviews on Open Table, I honestly thought we 'd be lucky to snatch a reservation at this fine restaurant. Much to our delight and surprise, equaled with a creeping sense of horror the place was virtually empty. Why? Were the reviews wrong? Had it changed management, or kitchen staffs? Had budget conscious owners fired a good chef to increase the bottom line? Wrong on all counts. This place is a hidden gem, tucked away in a hotel you wouldn 't know existed unless you accidentally booked a room there. Everything we ordered was great the grilled octopus, the Greek salad and the seared scallops alone are reason enough for a return visit. My son, the picky eater, was hesitant about sampling his orzo mac and goat cheese, and I really can 't say how it tasted because he practically licked the plate after he had his first bite. Even the brussel sprouts the brussel sprouts!!! such a yucky veggie were terrific. And the service was equal or better than the meal... we practically invited the guy to sit with us, and tell us about the restaurant and the food preparation. Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly (but not over the top), in short, professional, everything great service should be. Too bad I can 't remember the server 's name, but in the interest of giving credit where credit is due, it said Benedett at the top of my cc charge slip. All in all, a fantastic meal, and great service... which is where the other side of the creeping sense of horror comes in. How long will this hidden gem survive? Too bad there 's no rating for Very, Very, Very Good as the food and service at Vintro are just shade short of Excellent, a whole lot better than many better known and more expensive establishments."

"I hope you can share this as a public review. The Grand Finale is a great place for romantics, for celebrations or those that just want a nice meal out, in a cozy atmosphere. We recently dined to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The service was excellent as is the norm at this restaurant. Our waiter was attentive while also allowing us to enjoy ourselves. The food was delicious. I had their rack of lamb for the first time and it exceeded my expectations. The chutney sauce on the side was a great compliment to the meat. My wife had her favorite, the chicken ginger. Anyone that has taste for chicken would not be disappointed by this gem. I always sneak a bite. The menu never changes much nor does it need to. There is a nice variety, everything they serve is delicious and if you want something different, the specials are usually as good as many of their go to dishes. I always recommend saving room for desert. Our favorites include the Chocolate Cordial pie (a mountain of chocolate mousse with a delicious crust hiding somewhere at the bottom), any of their cheesecakes, and their custard. But you can’t go wrong on their desert menu. Beautiful and delicious. The restaurant is set in an old Victorian home in historic Glendale and the restaurant is very cozy with antique furniture, art on display throughout and decor from the late and early centuries. I would consider this a nice restaurant, but with prices that won’t make you regret the extras and one where men need not where a jacket. Stop in some time. I think you’ll find yourself returning for the friendly folks that serve you and the delicious delights that call your name."
