"We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. There was a lack of communication from the staff which resulted in some errors with our order. The potato oles were underfilled and undercooked, while the churro was hard and overly greasy. Our Philly cheese sandwich was bland and lacked flavor, even the vegetables were tasteless. The chicken tacos were decent but had an unappealing mass of sauce in one spot. Overall, the food was not worth the price we paid, totaling over $40. It had been over 20 years since my last visit to Taco John's in Cloquet, and I now remember why I had avoided it for so long. I do not recommend dining here."

"The person taking our order acted like he didn't want to be there and just wanted us gone. Everything else was good, and the rest of the employees were great. But he is the first impression. "The food was satisfactory, which is what I anticipated. However, I found the service to be quite frustrating. The attendant repeatedly said he couldn't hear me, even though I was speaking loudly and clearly from my quiet vehicle. It wasn't until I turned off my engine that he claimed he could finally hear me, which I found rather disrespectful. Moreover, I've observed a noticeable reduction in portion sizes, particularly given the prices. Overall, I would rate the food a 3, the service a 2, and the atmosphere a 2."

"Their drive through speaker has been broken for well over a year now, after having to literally shout at the box and being told they still couldn't hear me, I suggested they get a new system, or at least fix this one as it's nearly impossible to order at times. I was then spoken down to and and told I don't have any idea the cost, which I don't, but I do know about running a business. I know there's always a solution when it comes to being able to effectively sell a product. The employee informed me that it would cost over $20k to replace the system. After some research, I found that for a few hundred dollars they could buy something that would be much more effective then their current system. With that being said, a cup and string might work better.I like the food, but the condescending tone of the conversation had with that employee doesn't make me want to come back. Just fix the problem, there's almost always a phesable solution you just have to find it."

"I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant and was quite disappointed. The prices were very high, and the food wasn't hot. It lacked flavor and was very bland. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito, but I could barely find any cheese on it, and it had lettuce—yuck! The same goes for the taco; there was no cheese at all, and it had no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. Not even any tomatoes, which, by the way, would cost you extra! My husband and I will not be returning. We can get much better food at Taco Time in Havre, with superior quality, flavor, and value!"

"We placed an order for dine in service around 6:15pm. We received our order at 6:34pm, missing drink cups and sauce sides. There were several orders brought back from the drive thru, wrong orders handed out. There were two people standing at the counter to order, one got their order taken at the register, the other was asked by kitchen staff what they wanted and their food was made before their order was taken. Although the food was warm and tasted fine, the atmosphere and service were just not there. To the teams credit it appeared that there was training in the kitchen happening and that probably affected the speed of service. I counted only 3 staff, and that included the young lady being trained. I know labor budgets are tight and that the newer order system on the front counter is supposed to help lower labor cost but then the person running the front end needs to be able to multitask in order to efficiently expedite orders in a timely manner."

"Been years since I stopped definitely haven’t been missing anything chicken tacos had one piece of chicken that was about 1 1/2 inches long had mostly tortilla and lettuce took the chicken out of the second taco and still barely had enough to fill the tortilla. Jose ole were so salty I could barely eat them. The churro was just greasy, hard “dough” with no sugar and cinnamon. HORRIBLE and a waste of an opportunity for a good meal. Oh and did I mention all of this goodness costed almost $15.Also dirty food all over the floor in the dining room. They haven’t given this place a good cleaning in awhile. It’s very run down, the seat on my chair was missing screws."

"I can't believe how rude this woman, Tanya, was to me. I feel like she treated me differently because I’m Black. She seems to keep track of how often I come in, even though I always do business with them for food delivery. When I came in to get a drink refill, she approached me and snatched my drink from my hand, making me feel embarrassed. It was clear from her expression that she was ready to confront me, even though I had purchased that drink on the same day. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Apparently, you can't get a refill if you ordered from the drive-thru, but her attitude was completely uncalled for. I will never spend my money here again."
