"2023 UPDATE This place literally NEVER fails, and its still just as amazing as it always is. We ordered to go, they had 3 huge DELICIOUS dinners (bread butter) done in 15 minutes... I love me some 100 South Go eat inside... Go eat outside... Order take out... Just do it, you want to give them your money, lol, and you WILL NOT be disappointed in the slightest. Prices are a bit high, but not in terms of worth, just in terms of numbers... For what you get, its SOOO worth it!!! Plates are gigantic usually enough leftovers for a second meal, food is super flavorful, and service is top notch!!! The thing I love most about this place is that they have found a way to be classy and upscale, but also feel like your at home with family... Its so freaking awesome!!! In the very off chance you aren 't happy, they make it right, no questions asked... They want you satisfied when you walk out their doors. In the late evening, when we like to go, there 's usually some people, including staff, hanging out, laughing, talking, etc, but it never interferes with the quality of anything or the service... If anything, it makes you feel like you want to be included in this fun, fancy club of theirs, lol I have heard some more personal stories by word of mouth and the internet... I 'll just say these are my kind of people!!! I feel like I understand them, I 've been there, I KNOW they 've worked hard, and I TRUELY value their outlook on friends, family, and loyalty. This place is freaking amazing, and so are the people... Trust me, you want to go here!!! Parking: They are located right across from the train station in uptown Elmhurst, and therefore, it can be difficult to find CLOSE parking sometimes, as they have no lot. That being said, there are a TON of free and paid options. Uptown Elmhurst has no shortage of parking garages, they are EVERYWHERE. There are also, at least 1, but I 'm thinking 2 handicap spots right near the front. Kid friendliness: Although they are upscale, they also very much value family. As a mother, I have taken my kid here from the time she was a toddler, all the way to now that she 's 10. As a reasonable person, I just personally wouldn 't go if you know your kid throws tantrums or can 't sit still... Just out of respect for others, because this is more if a fine dining experience and atmosphere."

"Having a home nearly next door to another Greek inspired steakhouse in the area for about a year and a half now, my wife and I have driven by this place countless times saying someday . I visited their website and their Thursday night date special was where my mind was at, but because we 're rarely around on Thursdays, it would never happen. We bit the bullet this past Saturday and now I can hardly wait to go back. Let me start with the decor. The outside of the building was completely unassuming. As we entered the building, it was almost as though the angels were singing. The carpet was plush, the walls darker in color, the rooms dimly lit, but no so much that you couldn 't read your menu. The overall feel of the place was ritzy. Service at first was a little clunky as we were told about the specials while standing up with our hostess blocking access to one side to our seating. The service improved beyond this first experience. We ordered a drink and water to start. The wine pours were reasonable. Our waitress came around with our drinks and told us about Saganaki. Not knowing much about it really, we were pleased when it came out and it was really entertaining, and delicious too, albeit filling. My wife had the French onion soup, and bacon wrapped scallops and I had the wild rice soup and the early bird prime rib done medium with garlic mashed potatoes. The French onion soup was delicious, and so was the wild rice soup. We both felt that if we had eaten it all, we might not be hungry by the time our entrees arrived. Did I mention there was bread too? We didn 't partake. The prime rib and garlic mashed potatoes weren 't plated together, which was ok. My prime rib was done beautifully. I 'm used to seeing a small dish with au jus at other places that serve prime rib, but this wasn 't included here. There was ample juice on the plate itself, which is likely why the mashed potatoes weren 't plated together. First bite was amazing. Delicious, warm, tender and flavorful too. I really don 't think I could have ordered a better option. The garlic mashed potatoes were tasty, but the texture was a bit more runny and less fluffy. The bacon wrapped scallops were plated well visually appetizing. And I 'm pretty sure anything wrapped with bacon makes it better, right? The size of the scallops did not disappoint either. They were cooked perfectly, bacon was crisp enough and the scallops weren 't overcooked. They tasted really good too. There was a bit of spiciness to them. It wasn 't overly pronounced, but just enough to let you know it 's there. The bill was reasonable too. I 've paid much more for lots less. Suffice it to say we couldn 't finish our meals. We took our leftovers home. We left content and pleased with our dining choice. We will definitely be returning again. This time I don 't think we 'll wait for a year and a half. "After passing by Ciao Baby for quite some time on Sunrise Highway we decided to entertain out of state guest there since it looks unique from the outside. Well is certainly was unique. First we waited until the hostess was done chatting on the phone with a personal call until she acknowledged us to seat us in the middle of a cramped and broken folded table. We had a minor with us (12 years) and the poor girl had to sit at the broken end where the table was supposed to clip, so one of the adults ended up switching seats. The waiter that served us was obnoxious and used childish language when explaining the specials such as ;rad ; and such. It took 20 minutes for the red wine we ordered to come out and another 30 for the appetizers of calamari and beef wrapped asparagus. The calamari was the worst I have ever tasted in Long Island. Not only was it rubbery and hardly fried, the sauce was pasty and lacked any flavor. Then we proceeded to wait for over an hour for our entrees to come and the waiter seemed to be hiding from us never approaching the table once during that time. Finally we caught the drink waiter and ordered another two glasses of wine. Which took him 30 minutes to bring back to our table. He apologized and said he ;spaced out ; when he finally did come. When the waiter came back with one plate of dinner I asked him what took so long and he stumbled over his words and said every dish was ;made to order ;, which left me wondering what that REALLY meant. So I let it go and the rest of our entrees came out. I ordered the special and realized that the asparagus was ice cold! Some ;made to order ; restaurant! One guest bit into his stuffed rigatoni and said it was completely water logged, the minor said her bread was stale and the shrimp was rubbery. It seemed like we couldn’t win one step of the way. As we began to eat the ;manager ; came up behind me and in a threatening manner said to me ;yeah you complained about the wait? I said yes, that we had been here over an hour and a half and that the restaurant was full when we came in and now it’s almost completely empty and also the problems with our food. He argued with me saying that because they cook their food a certain way that it is normal waiting time. He ARGUED WITH ME, even after I explained that the food tasted awful and wasn’t even warm! I asked him who exactly he might be since I thought maybe he was the owner since he was dressed in a much wrinkled white polo shirt. Most managers dress in a suit or nice dress shirt on a weekend night shift and I was completely taken aback. So he talked over me and refused to listen to what I had to say ending the conversation with ;well that’s unfortunate for you, too bad ;. This manager should not be in customer service if he cannot handle dealing with the public. I was not only embarrassed for myself but for my out of town guest whose first time it was in NY. I felt like his intentions were to make me feel as if I had no right to complain and essentially shut up and eat the food no matter how long we waited and how lousy it tasted. I have never encountered such an uneducated manager or staff in a restaurant that is supposed to be ;family style ; dining cuisine. When the bill came, the overpriced food came to $150.00, and not a cent was taken off our bill nor dessert offered, or and apology for our uncomfortable experience. My fiance approached the manager and asked him if he really thought this bill was justified since no one really touched their plate from the trauma of the service and his attitude. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn’t care what he thought and he could write a letter or complain to whomever that it wouldn’t matter because they are ;independently owned ;. Outrageous! These people really need to be re-trained in the area of customer service and management if the expect to have a lasting business. The behavior and indifferent attitude should never be allowed in any restaurant 5 star to fast food, and I am still in shock over our treatment. I asked for the manager’s name before I left so I could warn as many people as possible of this shameful establishment. We did the only thing we could do as consumers and left no tip. Paid in cash the exact amount and departed rather quickly. You should be ashamed Ciao Baby."
