"Ordered chicken piccata. Huge portion of overcooked, dry chicken breast overcooked, mushy pasta. Ate half of a breast and left the rest. I don't like to send food back to the kitchen because as my Father often said: Never eat food that is prepared out of your sight when the preparer may be upset with you Was surprised server did not ask why I did not eat it. "My friends and I had a girls' night out to celebrate a birthday at this restaurant. We decided to order from the Happy Hour menu, and we were very impressed. Every dish we tried, from the ribs and bruschetta to the tacos and fried broccoli, was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, with the waitstaff checking on us frequently. Despite a large party happening in the bar area, the staff were attentive and on top of everything."

"Some of the food was tasty hot, crispy fries. Tender asparagus. Generous amount of bleu cheese on the salad. Service was fine, if a bit slow. It took 25 30 minutes for our entrees to come to the table even though the restaurant was not busy. But the main attraction the steaks were quite poor. Both were lukewarm in temperature when they came to the table. Ordered medium rare, mine was medium to medium well. It tasted charred, rather than seared. I only ate about half of it, as it wasn't very good. Also ordered medium rare, my wife's steak was rare. There are better restaurants nearby, and I would not return."

"The 3rd or 4th visit to Ovation Bistro in Lakeland. I really cannot say enough good about this restaurant. Service is great! Our most recent server was Tyler. He was personable, happy and outgoing. We loved his acceptance and interaction with our group of 9 celebrating birthdays! Orders came out perfectly and without an extreme delay or wait. Even the 2 year old was served appropriately early and quickly! The food is excellent! So kudos to the chefs working the kitchen on a busy Friday night! The value is truly excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone in Lakeland looking for a great date night out, a family get together, a celebration place or just a great place to have dinner. Background music was not loud and we enjoyed many of the tunes and sang along with a few!! Thank you! Again and Again!"

"My parents' recent visit here was AWFUL! *BE CAREFUL* before stepping into this place YOU MAY GET SICK RIPPED OFF!: 1 The food was terrible. My dad ordered a burger and fries (should be simple enough, right? and the entire dish was cold. He managed to replace his cold fries with warm ones, but when he bit into the burger it was *RAW* inside! No exaggeration! 2 The reason they chose to go to NYAJ's was because they had a $50 Phantom Gourmet gift card. My parents gave them the card when the bill came, and the waiter came back saying there was $0 on the card ... which they had never used. They decided to pay with credit card and check it out when they got home. To their surprise they saw that NYAJ's had charged $50 on the gift card! So, so far, not only was the food abhorrent, they charged us twice and ripped us off! 3 When we called the restaurant they had us explain the situation about 25 times and acted like we were trying to scam our way into free food when THEY were the ones that ripped US off! 4 Oh yeah, and to top it all off my dad GOT FOOD POISONING THE NEXT DAY FROM THE RAW BURGER BITE. Violently ill for 48 hours following the meal. All in all, the experience here literally could not have been any worse, and none of us will ever step foot in there again."

"The service was good. Hosts were nonchalant not particularly friendly. Drinks were good. Pizza was under cooked, got with 1/2 mushrooms that barely had any on that half this has been typical of last few visits not sure why they can’t leave the pizza in longer it is so pale and mushrooms are cheap put more on). The wall at our booth had food stains running down the wall. Honestly NYAJ Methuen can’t speak to all NYAJ’s) is running out of second chances with us."

"We were looking for a nice place for St Valentine's, and this one was the only one where I could make a reservation. I wasn't sure we were going to like it, but we had a nice moment there. Food was good. My wife's meat was over cooked, but they changed and corrected it. Ambience is not as cozy as one would want for a special occasion, but it wasn't bad. Also, the room was freezing inside! It was a very cold night, but anyway, that doesn't justify the cold it makes inside."

"My husband, another couple, and I had a great dining experience at Chops. We had a reservation at 6:30 and didn't leave until 9:00, but our server was attentive and allowed us to savor each course without feeling rushed. The food was once again delicious, with my 12-ounce filet being so generous that I had leftovers to take home. My husband and our friend shared lobster tails and a filet, and still had plenty to bring home. We are already excited for our annual dinner at Chops next year."

"I consistently have a great experience at Not Your Average Joe's. It's possibly the only chain restaurant in the area that feels more unique and less like a chain. The staff I've met have always been welcoming and friendly. I really appreciate that they've enhanced their outdoor seating with a couple of large tents, allowing my friend and me to enjoy lunch outside, even in the rain, without any discomfort. I do wish the cocktails were a bit stronger, but aside from that, the atmosphere is pleasant, there's a diverse menu, and there's always a selection of wine available."

"Joe's is one of our go to restaurants. The food selections and quality of ingredients satisfies almost any palette. This time, we had the Ahi Tuna Wonton Appetizer served on cucumbers, Jambalaya, Chicken Piccata and the seasonal crisp for desert. Portions were sized so that we took home seconds. "The service and decor were impressive, but unfortunately, the food fell short. To begin with, we had to request a replacement for our water because the glasses had an awful smell, reminiscent of fish tank water. It was quite unpleasant. It seemed the odor came from the dishwasher they were supposedly "cleaned" in, as the replacement glasses were fine. The split chicken dish consisted of two very small and bland legs. All in all, given the price, we have had much better meals at other establishments. I wouldn't return or recommend this restaurant."

"Exceptional. I ordered entrees for take out. The food was delicious, well seasoned and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Villagios understands the balance between flavor and ingredients and how to prepare a meal. Their tomato sauce is fresh and tasty. The garlic and oil pasta was fantastic, not “oily” with excellent balance of flavor from the garlic without it being overpowering. Very nicely done. The price appropriate for good food. I highly recommend you give them a try."

"It was a special occasion for us and the dining experience was phenomenal!! We sat by the window overlooking the bayou taking in the beautiful last remaining sunset. Our server was not only professional but very charming and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the Crabmeat Dip appetizer served with buttered French bread. The soft shell crab topped with crabmeat over angel hair pasta was delicious. The Shrimp Diane was delicious as well. Dessert was the Bread Pudding with vanilla ice cream on top. Overall it was a wonderful birthday dinner that will be remembered always. Many pictures were taken to remember our experience. I recommend Restaurant des Familles..you will not be disappointed."

"I I was disappointed and the service this time. They had just released that morning that they will be closing November 29th. So we decided to use our gift cards to have a nice dinner. The server was inattentive and not social at all. My husband had to ask for drink refills several times. After being told it would be 5 to 10 minutes for bread it was close to 20 and then we never got a bread refill. This was definitely an unusual occurrence as we have dined there many times over the past 11 years and have NEVER had an issue with service before."
